Give Me an Answer - ALL Have Sinned and Fall Short of the Glory of God!

Ойын-сауық

Program 3221 ................... - Hypocrisy - Life After Death - Wisdom
Recorded at Texas State University - October 2021.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

As a young man who is black and a follower of Christ, I am constantly in situations where people ignorantly assume that Christianity was “forced” on me. People should try to think for once. There was so much wrong with what they were all saying and I’m calling a spade a spade. These people should stop putting faith in man and the decisions they make and put their faith in Christ. Stop looking at the misuse of the Bible and focus on the proper use of it. Cars, if used properly, are blessings. If we all follow the driving laws like no speeding, no drinking and driving, cars benefit us so much. If we misuse cars and run people over with them and ruin families, what is the problem? The car? Or the people misusing the car? I’m barely 22 and I’ve been a devout Christian for a year although I was raised “Christian”. But I decided to dive into the research, use my head, learn from various points of views before coming to the conclusion that Christ IS reliable. Some people just repeat what they hear. So if I were there and some ignorant person called me brainwashed, I’d ask them what do they mean by that and how did they come to that conclusion. Ask people these two questions. And yourself these questions. You’ll learn whether someone is full of it or they actually know what they’re talking about.

If one believes the new testament they know from the words of Jesus Himself and the apostles that Jesus was and is God (Yahweh/YHWH) the Son of God ( Yahweh/YHWH) the Father. I recommend you read Hebrews chapter 1 especially in vs. 8 and 9 where God the Father calls His Son "My God". The bible is full of revelation about the identity of God and who the Messiah was and is. Jesus was fully God (YHWH) and fully man (the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the "son of David").Your confusing attempt to make God the Father the One who died on the cross for the sins of the world goes against God's word. I respectfully recommend that you accept the clear teachings of scripture for your information from now on especially what you teach others as if it were the truth lest you risk being guilty of being a false prophet. To misunderstand the basic foundational doctrines of Christ and worse to misteach them to others is not a good place to be at all.

@@theoskeptomai2535 It's very difficult to quantify. I have also noticed a growing animosity towards Christ. Before, when I was a new catholic, I also encountered unbelief, but very few people were truly aggressively anti-religious. Here in Spain there has been a slow process of falling away from the faith. First people began to put other things before God, and faith became "just another thing", a part of the culture that kept going through inertia. Then some began openly rejecting the faith. They were met with so little opposition that they were emboldened. Gradually, as new generations grew up without receiving the faith, irreligiosity has become the norm. The faith is now rarely transmitted within Spanish families, and if by a miracle a young person converts, it is seen as something extraordinary, whereas barely 50 years ago 99% of Spaniards were catholic. Now there is a communist party in the national government that is openly hostile to God, and many young people follow their lead. For some reason, to be considered intellectually sophisticated, you have to be an atheist nowadays. Catholics are now viewed by many as the scum of society, and we are blamed for all sorts of evils we have nothing to do with. The hatred is being fueled by the media, of course, and the socialist/communist government. I fear one day we will come to a point at which affirming belief in Jesus Christ will be considered a crime. History doesn't repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme!

It’s really intellectually scary seeing collage students in USA arguing that “African’s embraced” christianity “ because of colonialism. I’m NOT Christian because I’m brainwashed by colonialists, however I’m Christian because of the claims JESUS has made and found it very convincing and wise decision to put my faith in Him. You will be surprised the rate at which Christianity has been exploding (statistically) since the millennia in Ethiopia in large in Africa. That is happening not because of colonialism and brainwashing staff.

As for Jesus, the biblical Jesus never existed. So I effectively have nothing against a fictional character, he's no more real than your god.

@@ramptonarsecandle I can't speak for American Evangalicals. Therr are sects of American Christianity that has veered from the original teachings of Christ, and focus more on blessings and prosperity on earth than true repentance, forgiveness, salvation and righteousness to get us from away this earth and into everlasting life. As for Jesus' existence. He was an historical figure. Not only do the first hand eye witness accounts from Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter and James prove this, but non biblical scholars such as Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny the Younger and more, wrote of Jesus and his crucifixion. Jesus' resurrection is recorded in the eye witness accounts mentioned above, but more prominently in the gospels. Later on, it was revealed by Peter that Jesus revealed himself to 500 people in total after His resurrection. The reason I put my trust in Jesus is because all the evidence points to Him being a reliable and trustworthy. He spoke so accurately of the human condition, our tendency to prefer living flawed sinful lives, but yet regretting its consequences. He claimed He was the Son of God, and that God had sent Him to die for the sins of mankind and that He would rise from the dead on the 3rd day. Of course everything He claimed was met with alot of resistance and skepticis, but He gained a following through His graceful and righteous nature, acts of miracles and preaching of truth which transformed the hearts of any who listened. Look, the Supernatural isn't fictional, which means there is some truth to every religion, but the question is which deity has the most credible historical and miraculous evidence. I say Jesus Christ over every other religion. When Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and the no one comes unto Father, unless through Him. I wholeheartedly trust in that. Now you can choose to live your life the way you please, but you cannot deny that one day you will pass on. I believe and have faith that there is no silence or nothingness after death, like the atheists like to believe. After death is judgement and I don't mean that to scare anyone, but its just reality. Sooner or later every person will be held accountable before God for their actions, but blessed are those who have put their trust and faith in Jesus Christ, who is faithful to forgive our sins and to transform us to be like Him, holy, full of love and blameless. There is alot more I could share but I would like to encourage you to read the New Testament. The Old Testament is also all about the coming of Jesus and the salvation He brings, so in essence the whole Bible is about Jesus, because His message and act of salvation is the most important message of all - for God so loved the world.....

@@nsdkido Thanks for your reply Rova, I think you sort of get where I'm coming from re American evangelicals! With regard to Jesus I need to correct you, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the gospels are not first hand eye witness accounts, if you'd actually read them you would know this. Luke 1 :2 reads "2 just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us" - clearly saying that the person who wrote it was not an eye witness. Mark, the earliest gospel, was written at least after 70 A.D. (referencing fall of temple) by a non-eyewitness, and makes numerous cultural and geographical errors that a Jewish writer would not have made such as locations of rivers, cultural customs regarding divorce, locations of towns or Jesus quoting from the Greek Septuagint etc. The other gospels all copied from Mark. Luke and Matthew contain over 70% of Mark and mainly make changes in attempts to fix blatant errors made in Mark and to correct Mark’s poor grammar. No one knows who actually wrote them, the last one, John was written around 110CE which would mean if John wrote it he would have been 130+yrs old, so we can safely say he didn't write it. You say there were 500 people who witnessed the resurrection but can you show an account from one of those "eye witnesses"? No you can't because none exist. Try and show me some contemporary accounts of his life if you can? You will search but not find anything, nor will you find any archaeological evidence. Which means everything we know is made up. The secular sources such as Josephus and Tacitus have been shown to be forgeries and no where near contemporary, the earliest dating to 93CE. Everything about him is a fabrication. I'll tell you what Rova, if you think he's real then tell me when he was born, when he died, what he looked like and where he's buried. All that should be easy if he was a real person. As for your god loving the world please explain this verse; “Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, “Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all - old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple.” So they began by killing the seventy leaders. “Defile the Temple!” the LORD commanded. “Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!” So they went throughout the city and did as they were told.” (Ezekiel 9:5-7) So killing men, women and children is ok? Ok got that.

It’s sad watching cliffs older videos to see how much worse people have turned. Even 10 years 15 years ago people were respectful even with opposing views and heard him. It’s hard watching how people now days would even curse in a conversation like this to him being respectful to them.

I'm so glad you touched on the fact that there are more African believers than there are people in the United States. I believe the number is around 600,000,000 if I remember correctly, so roughly DOUBLE. Really blows that whole 'white man's religion' thing out of the water. In fact, I don't even know where that saying comes from considering Jesus was a Jew and his followers were Jews. So, if it's 'white man's religion', then they made a Jew the cornerstone and focal point of said religion, and that's really the opposite of what people are trying to get at when they use that phrase to insinuate white religious imperialism.
