I've lived in Florida my whole life and don't get me wrong, the fishing is incredible... The bass are huge and there's an absolute abundance of species to go for on any given day but THIS... This is badass. This is exactly what I thought fishing was supposed to be like when I was a kid. Out in nature... In the woods... Not behind people's houses in gated communities. Love the video man I needed this.

Then go into the fking woods then! Find a canal or lake or go to the Fking River! Tf you talking about "behind people houses"? Yea, you CAN fish those spots, but don't make it 100% of what you fish. You choose where you fish. When I was 12-15 me and my friends would ride our bikes 20 miles a day going to different canals Lakes to the river growing up in Central Florida

@@paulleonard7038 I live in south Florida where if you want big bass you go to where the no fishing signs are OR north to…. You guessed it, CF. My comment wasn’t me complaining, I’m in shock at how beautiful those spots are, and it’s what I imagined where I’d fish when I was a kid. Florida has beautiful spots but all are quite far from where I live. The Everglades is nice but the bass fishing isn’t anywhere near as great as gated community ponds or up north like stick marsh/ central Florida. And I’ll be damned if you can find me a mountain lake in the middle of Miami 🤣

I usually would attempt a bow and arrow cast when surrounded by trees like that! It can be super helpful for casting if you don’t have many other options! Basically you hold the fly in one hand and pull it back until the rod bends and let go so the fly shoots out across the water! You can also attempt to jig the fly rod a bit to make it look like the fly is struggling on the top water which really attracts the trout as well! Great video man!

When I picture heaven I don't see clouds and harps, I see this. My father was on a lot of fishing shows in the 70s. He eventually ran Good Hope Cannery Lodge, for a while. I spent my whole childhood in the bush, at lakes, at rivers or on the ocean. There is no more peaceful place you can be. I don't share locations of quiet dream spots, like this perfect place you have found. I actually get quite angry, and disappointed, whenever magazines list "secret" fishing spots. Seriously, why send an invitation to every nitwit with a stereo and 5 idiot friends? These precious places are for those who are committed to finding them, appreciating them and protecting them. Thank you for giving me 33 perfect minutes.

I'd have my line in the water within a minute of my backpack hitting the ground. Attach a bell, then set up camp. Also, use live bait. You will never say "follow follow follow" with live bait. Most trout in those waters have never seen a lure, let alone a bullet. They're attracted by the flash, then hesitate. Live bait never fails. Keep the videos coming. Nice work!

Love your videos man. Hope you see this. So at the beginning of this year I was in a accident and couldn't walk for months. Knee shattered. I discovered your channel and I've watched all your videos. You got me through my injury honestly. I'm able to walk again and I've been fishing a lot since. Hope you know that your videos do mean a lot to some of us.

This is my favorite outings of yours of all times. Fly Fishing is an incredible journey that will leave any angler fulfilled at the end of the day. Wether they catch a trout or not. Fly Fishing truly is a precious and priceless thing. Words spoken by Fly fishing legend himself… John D. Voelker “Fly-fishing for wild trout on quiet waters must be one of the toughest and craziest ways to catch fish ever invented by man, as well as among the most frustrating and humiliating.”

Here's a suggestion for you when you're in an area where there's all kinds of vegetation like that, you need to learn how to do a roll cast, I use it all the time whenever I fish Mountain lakes like this where there's lots of vegetation around! 👍

just a litle tip, when fly fishing on still waters and there are bugs hatching try getteing the fly far out and moving the fly as litle as possible (like bobber fishing) because the truot will often check out the fly then come back again a couple of minutes later to eat it😉 (love and appreciate your videos from norway🇧🇻)
