Something about this is just simple, beautiful and wholesome. I feel a little silly getting all sentimental over a pumpkin, but just watching those little leaves bending and turning to the sun, growing a little day by day from a tiny little seed to a massive pumpkin, was just so heartwarming. Loved this. Thank you for uploading!

  • @mattradach306

Two reasons to cover the pumpkin are to protect the skin from the sun which can cause premature aging and to keep it warm on cool days and evenings. It is believed that keeping the pumpkin warm will allow it to grow better. I don't know if there is any scientific validity to this but all the heavy hitters do it so I follow suit.

Hey Matt, Thanks for posting this video. I reminds me of all the times going to THE FAIR "Puyallup" growing up and being amazed at the Giant pumpkins. I was wondering if I can screen cast the video adding my voice asking questions for my 7th grade science students to watch and learn about photosynthesis? I normally show them the video and give out candy to any that can pronounce Puyallup correctly. I want to do a screen cast this year because of distance and my students cannot access youtube. I will make sure to credit you for making the video.
