Giant Pumpkin Time Lapse.wmv

Ғылым және технология

This video was made using The TimelapseCam 8.0 from a company called Wingscapes. It took one photo every 30 minutes (during daylight hours) from June 21st when it was pollinated until September 8th when it was harvested. The Pumpkin weighed in at 405 pounds.
I messed up a bit. The Pumpkin was hidden by leaves for the first month and then I missed a good chunk of August because the memory card wasn't pushed all the way into the camera. Watch for a special visitor at about 2:25

I too loved the music. Love the gnome. Terrific video. Have you ever heard the old wives tale where they injected pumpkins with syringe and milk in it?? Haha Thanks you....Miss Jeri

The seeds was planted inside in April and transplanted into a temporary green house outside in May. I have a bigger pumpkin growing right now that has an estimated weight of 515 pounds and is still growing. I have had the timelapse on it from the time I planted the seeds so you can see the whole lifespan of the plant. I will be taking the Pumpkin to the fair on September 6th and I will have a timelapse of that one to view shortly thereafter.

How in the heck did you keep your foliage so lush and green. Mine always seems to surcume to diseases within a month. Do you by change live west of the Rocky Mountains? Certain bugs supposedly don't live west of the mountains. The squash vine borer.

I was disillusioned the first time I saw some giant pumpkins at a county fair in 1981 because they were so deformed. Of course all the really huge ones are. They're not nice and symmetrical like the ones sold in supermarkets for Halloween.
