This would have to be my most favourite song of George's, even though I love so many of his, this one is special, maybe because it hit my heart... "Heaven sent and heaven stole" ❤🎤🎧❤

A beautiful song with lyrics that break my heart from all directions. I have to sort of prepare myself to listen to it. With great love comes the possibility (some would say probability) of great pain. Seems George thought that pain was a fair price for a "love that holds such bliss". I would strongly agree. A great song.

Thank you so much for that, he's one I'm glad I've seen the Behind The Music & his documentary before really getting into the music, it gives sneak peaks at his process in making the music before the full listen

@@J.Fro90 Some of these tell all's are bogus. The very best thing (as I said in my comment,) what to do is take what you can right from George. Notice how his band stayed with him for many years. Some were with him from the start even in WHAM. Most of these musicians & singers were at least 15 yrs. or better. That says a lot right there. One documentary A DIFFERENT STORY, with George in It, telling his story from the beginning & showing you around. Anyway, I hope you continue learning about the man behind the music. LOL, my friend, see you next time! 💞😎 🎤🎶🎶🎶💖

George was very spiritual, (no specific religion) However If you notice a lot of his music he brings Jesus & God as part of the lyrics. You're right, George always put his heart & soul into his songs. I fact a suggestion for you especially because you really appreciate his music & him. Get to know George not only through his music bit the man he was. George has touched so many, many hearts. In fact, It's well-known, People fell in love with, got married to & had many babies because of the love he poured out through his music. George brought us through the seasons of his life, the ups & downs & everything in between. We could relate because of George's honesty, not just for his honesty ( that was always present) in his music but his words & his thoughtfulness for others. Another person's channel said he took our advice & learned of this wonderful man & It gave even more meaning to his music & who his music. Be careful though, there are many people that like to be hateful & he experienced that in Spaids. You can however believe George through, interviews, Recording sessions & the ordinary people he chose to help. The one thing he asked of them was ways to keep It to themselves, he felt he didn't want or need adulation because of that, he just wanted to help. I'm telling you, George was a gift to so many which no one knew until after his passing. He also was a human being, made mistakes a few times, but addressed them right away. learned from It & moved on. Well, I've written enough the rest is If you choose to learn more. It will make a difference! LOL My friend take care & we'll see you next time! A song request would be WAITING FOR THAT DAY! ENJOY! BK 💖🎶🎶🎶🕯😇

George wrote the song only in a hour and recording in five days. This was the single version because the album version was a seven minutes song. It's was one of his biggest singles and a fan favorite over the years. This was the first single of his ''Older'' album.

I can't listen to this song without crying, it's so profoundly deep, and speaks to all of our most bruised, hurt souls. But there's hope and forever love in the lyrics as well. A masterpiece.

I was born January 1970 so I was in my teen years during the 80s. I was a big time Wham fan which of course transitioned me to being a George Michael fan. I love every damn song this man has done, but this is one of my favorite George Michael songs. I’m gonna say like top three.

You are so correct. It is a personnel song grieving from the loss of his love one. The title itself is pure. This song is so beautiful musically and lyrically., yet haunting. Another incredible ballad you must hear are "A different corner"," Waiting for that day "and "Praying for time". What an incredible talent gone much too soon. Great posting and reaction. Take the time to hear at least one of the above title songs. Thank you.

Great reaction! This song just tears me up every time I listen to it. Such a gorgeous song sung from his heart. I think George is one of the greatest male vocalists of all time. I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard, Kissing a Fool, by George, but it’s an awesome song with a smokey jazz bar vibe to it. I think you’d really enjoy it. btw, love your t-shirt! Hope all goes well with your move. Thanks for posting! ✌🏻😉✌🏻

to really appreciate this song you need to listen to the live version performed at the 1994 MTV awards in Berlin, this was before George recorded this song and it's the full version (this is the single version). I think the sound is a lot better than this recorded version.

In fact, George confirm that this song was recording before the MTV Music Awards in Berlin and this song was written only in a hour and recording in five days. The recording of this song was finished few days before he make this performance. This was the first song wrote and recording on the album.

The way I interpret the title is, that George for the first time experienced a pure and unconditional love. Like Jesus would love a child. No judgement, total acceptance and unconstitutional and endless. Went to number 1 everywhere,

Too bad you didn't react to the live version ... the first time he introduced this song to the world. The first time he performed, actually, after disappearing for a few years, grieving Anselmo. MTV Berlin. It was profoundly, deeply moving. He wrote this song in a few hours, and when he finished, he knew he would be able to go on and would survive the devastating loss.
