This was not Cindy's first appearance with the Supremes on Ed Sullivan. This is my favorite drats ed Sullivan.
This was more than these women singing .It was the the way they showed Black people and the world we could be more than servants or maids, at the time that we could be more .And this was a statement .Changed my life forever ,I am thankful to these three amazing Black Women .
Really cheesy.
I adore this song...omg!
Enjoyed your reaction. Two powerhouse voices. I wonder if you could check out a couple of other great singers Lara Fabian and Linda Eder. Linda can hold a note longer than anyone and Lara sings with tremendous emotion.
My Queen 4 ever..
Greatest band ever! They are unrivaled live!
Love it! Please react to Barbra's great rendition of Laura Nyro's Stoney End. Also, my favorite Ray Charles song - You Don't Know Me.
Sounds like the spanish guitar, and the alto flute😊. Jimmy Webb gave us beautiful music.
Thank you, thank you! You have fabulous taste - well, of course I'd think so, because it's exactly the same as mine! The more Judy, Barbra and Liza you do, the happier I am :)
ICONIC!!!!!
Sweet reaction to two of the most beautiful voices of my lifetime. I still rank Karen as my personal favorite but there’s no denying the power and majesty of these two. The duet is magical. I’m still on a mission to introduce you to an equal voice of the current generation. (YES I said equal) I have her most recent recording in a collaboration with Dan Wesley a singer/producer from the UK. She is from Minneapolis, so technology let this happen. But technology doesn’t mess with her vocals. There is no pitch correction, you are hearing her voice. And with her brand new microphone, a Neumann U-87, it’s even more pure. Trivia, Jarry, who do you know, that also used the U-87 back in the day? The song is the Perry Como classic; It’s Impossible. She is 20 yo Tori Holub (Ha Lubb) and you will not be disappointed, I promise. I know what you like and you need to discover this voice. And yes, nice to see you back on the Tube! The bridge is amazing! Personally it's my favourite female duet ever. I remember when I first listened to this. I had such a hard time working out who was singing which bit. Normally I can easily recognise both their voices, but it took a second listen to figure it out LOL
Historic voices collaborate.
One of my faves!! Welcome back! :)
Loved your reaction to this classic, once in a lifetime duet. This song was written as a conversation between a mother and her daughter. David Foster, who had produced both artists during their careers, wrote the song specifically for Celine to perform with Barbra as it was a lifelong dream of her's to sing with her idol, so David made it happen. The song was actually written by David, his then wife Linda Thompson (Elvis' one-time girlfriend), and Celine. Since there's a 26-year difference between the two ladies (Celine was 29, Barbra 55), the lyrics were perfect. You're right... songs like this... and duets like this are very rare and will be timeless.
That's way too much talent for one stage to contain! The original recordings of each of the songs in this medley would be worth reacting to on their own. 1. "Look What They've Done to My Song," by Melanie 2. "Crying Time," by Buck Owens 3. "Sweet Inspiration," by the Sweet Inspirations
She is beyond pop music. She is a musical Shakespeare. Have you noticed the boots put on the floor beside her ?
Can you react to Kelly Price ft Algebra Blesset - "Conversations with H.E.R"
Guys your age missed the disco craze but Grace Jones was and still is considered an icon. “Bumper” was very popular but in discos in the 80s her song “I Need A Man” turned a party inside out.
I agree. It's giving 90's r&b girl group. Very clean.
Thanks, J! This is a classic. Love Barbra's interplay with Ray's backup, The Raelettes. The Raelettes have a history all their own. The group had dozens of members from 1958 to 2004 including Edna Wright, Clydie King, Marilyn McCoo, Minnie Ripperton, Merry Clayton, Cynthia Scott, and founding members Margie Hendrichs (who had a son with Ray) and Darlene McCrea, among others.
Plz do let there be love. Beegees1968 video
Love you inside and out reaction plz off Spirits Having Flown Album.
Barry Gibb and his voice are out of this world.❤
Beegees best group ever in music history. Luv you Barry.❤❤❤❤ So glad i got to see you live in concert. Your on fire 🔥🔥🔥 in this song as always.
From “Barbra Streisand…and Other Musical Instruments” in November 1973. You should react to “I Never Has Seen Snow”.
Thanks man. If you hear him do. HURT AND-HOW GREAT THOU ART. 1977 Versions, Oh man he hits some notes. Really!
"When the Sun Comes Out" - also from her TV series
She was and is the GOAT
Thanks!
Out of all the #1 hits, 32 I believe, the only Grammys awarded to Elvis, was for Gospel....kind of fitting 🙏
Imitation of life with Lana Turner is Brilliant
I love the live version very much too. I also love that more than the recorded. He wasn’t amazing singer, and a beautiful man in so many ways. You never will be anyone like him, and will always miss him.
This was just a sarcastic response and yeah it Gets too much for some people I wouldn’t show it to just anyone, but I would show it to anyone who has an open mind. I love that he did this I love anything that George Michael, any video any performance anything. He’s an amazing performer, but even more than that he’s an amazing person. I don’t know if you’ve seen this yet, but you should watch, bl Brother Can You Spare a Dime. That definitely show his vocal performance. If you haven’t, you really should
I love this song so much. So heartfelt and emotional. You should react to the video of him singing this at the MTV award show in Berlin. It was perfection.
they have chemistry
The reaction was incredible. Same feels
You talk trash blackie,ur full of garbage
You hit the nail on the head. Whatever Elvis sings, he reaches into your soul (touched mine in 1971 and has never let go) and that does go back to his gospel roots. Several opera singers in interviews over the years have said his was the voice they admired most or wished they had!
Elvis' voice is perfection, he can sing any genre of music and he can just blow you away with his vocals!! His emotions, his soul, his looks, etc. The one and only!! ❤
Celia Cruz Is the Queen of Salsa #Azucar 🎉
Linda did the best cover of that song!
You should play this song when he performed on the stage in Honolulu Hawaii in 1973. It is the best.
I love Elvis because he makes you feel what he sings. He loved all music including opera. He sang Santa Lucia in Viva Las Vegas and several songs that were opera songs with English lyrics. Beautiful reaction ❤
Elvis was a super artist in all his facets.
Do Words from 1979 live Spirits tour. Or Love So Right (Barry pours his heart out on both of those songs…2 different ways). On the “live” Words in 1979, he sings the entire song in his cheesy voice really belting it out; then on Love So Right, he sings the entire song in his falsetto voice, really belting it out. The range is unbelievable between these 2 songs.
Love him in every stage of his career. However, it's so hard to watch, knowing what we know. His voice is so powerful and he never lost his sense of humor! RIP EP! Gone...but NEVER forgotten! ❤
If you would've cut your bangs right above your eyes, you literally would've been her hair twin.
