Lyrics
When your heart's in someone else's hands
Monkey see and monkey do
Their wish is your command
Not to blame
Everyone's the same
All you do is love and love is all you do
I should know by now the way I fought for you
You're not to blame, everyone's the same
I know you think that you're safe
Mister
Harmless deception
That keeps love at bay
It's the ones who resist that we most want to kiss
Wouldn't you say?
Cowboys and angels
They all have the time for you
Why should I imagine that I'd be a find for you
Why should I imagine
That I'd have something to say
But that scar on your face
That beautiful face of yours
In your heart there's a trace
Of someone before
When your heart's in someone else's plans
Things you say and things you do
That they don't understand
You're not to blame
Always ends the same
You can call it love but I don't think it's true
You should know by now
I'm not the boy for you
You're not to blame
Always ends the same
I know you think that you're safe
Sister
Harmless affection that keeps things this way
It's the ones who persist for the sake of a kiss
Who will pay and pay
Cowboys and angels
They all have the time for you
Why should I imagine that I was designed for you
Why should I believe
That you would stay
But that scar on your face
That beautiful face of yours
Don't you think that I'd know
They've hurt you, before
Take this man to your place
Maybe his hands can help you forget
Please be stronger than your past
The future may still give you a chance
The future, the future, not the past
That scar on your face
That beautiful face of yours
Don't you think that I know
They hurt you before

he was a poet with a continously, life-long message about love and the human capacity for pain and to a lesser degree, pleasure. He wanted us to feel because he felt things so deeply. I know. I am George Michael..... boooooooooooo.... #ghost

I agree 💯! George Michael was a genius songwriter/singer and the world has been suffering since his unexpected, early age death. We've needed to hear new and brilliant compositions he would have created. The world became an emptier and colder place without you, George but I thank God for blessing us with your presence. What I've written here must sound silly but it's the way I feel. We've lost so much from so many. I will always be grateful for you, George! Rest in eternal peace 🕊️. ❤️💔🎶😢🙏

He could hear it in his head how the music was supposed to go... yet it used to frustrate him that I could name a song in the first note..claimed his ear wasn't like that...but oh it was cuz he could name the songs in a note too. But, to be able to put a song together in your head b4 it's even put to music. I might know tones & sounds but he the sweet Angel could hear the music from the God's. That's why God took him home. Now he's making his joy in Heaven. I envy him. He's at peace now. But, oh how the world suffers from not hearing his sweet voice. The man didn't know how important he was. Be happy bro...we love you....still ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️

I forgot their names but there are in fact two people who "write" the "songs" nowadays. They offer these songs to the "artists" who like them. Then the music industry pumps in some millions so everywhere you go you hear those songs. They literally (!) killed Grunge and after 2010 it was done with artistic freedom. Maybe the industry lost too much to P2P networks. But ehm... music is for everybody. You can still find good music but you have to search a little harder. There are enough independent labels. I hope this is an indication that we are living in changing times and that hypnotizing kidz with boom-boom-boom tunes and stupid video clips is the last silly attempt of a dying dirty industry. Music is not a mass product like canned food. And imo that has to change as well. But that's a different subject (connected though). Happy searching.

He was an angel from GOD of music with a heavenly voice who gifted billions of us on earth and continues to do so for future generations. For me personally, no human has ever composed and sung better than him, ever. 33 years later after I first heard this divine song, I'm still in awe of his voice and music composition. It is perfection in the sound of his voice, every word, and every musical note from the beginning to the end! Only heaven can sound like this. Thank you, George, May Your Soul Rest in Eternal Peace in Paradise...❤🙏

ONE of the many reasons he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame... From FAITH, to FREEDOM '90, to his other amazing tunes - this man was a mastermind about music and sound. George Michael. Cowboys & Angels 👼 This is such an emotional song 🎧 he’s just a genius. The lyrics are absolutely fantastic. I play this song again and again and again. He certainly knew what his audience loved 🥰 It’s unusual for George to do a jazz oriented song 🎧 but boy can this Saxophonist play divinely. I’m blown away by both George and the Saxophonist too. Perfect Mmmm 😊

it’s not really jazz is it. the song is in waltz time to symbolise the dance between two people in keeping with the theme of the song. the saxophone provides the romantic feel. it’s probably my fave gm song just because of its haunting melancholy feel. very underappreciated song.
