This record has done more for my depression than most treatments out there. Listen Without Prejudice is such a heavy record, and I identify with George’s hopelessness in a lot of the songs there. But it is such a relief when this one comes. It makes you believe there’s still something pure out there that is worth searching for.

I remember when George Michael released his music for free on the internet--he said something about wanting all of his fans to have free access to his music. He had enough money, and just wanted to share, maybe reaching those who had not heard him sing before too. I just am enjoying, tonight, songs I have never heard before, that are now becoming brand new favorites! I am saving them to my music library too. Hoping that will be okay, because I do not want to have to hunt and search for these titles that do not seem to pop up as much as older songs. I really like this side of his music. A different corner, is another I found tonight, and just fell in love with too. Just so glad for his unselfishness to let his music be heard and shared. So many others who have talent make everyone pay, pay, pay for every second they listen to--and many like me, it is enough to just barely afford the access to the internet. This is very refreshing, awesome, as I spend 85-90 percent of my time in a hospital bed at home, physically disabled. Music helps my pain! Thanks for the gift of healing music! He put it on the internet for free, however he asked for people to make a donation to charity instead of paying for. He said know one did that and it upset him, not sure how he thought that would work, as how would he know what charities people donated to. It was a great idea though. He was always thinking of others first. George was an amazing artist, GENIUS song writer and just an all around fabulous human being. He is missed everyday. 2023

George Michel, I love you forever.

He said that he wanted to be remembered as a great song writer. Boy did he manage to do that and some!! To think that he is writing this stuff from his own lived experiences and then sings his own words with that magical voice really puts him at the very top of all artists there have been. Rest in Peace George.

My dad absolutely loved George Michael and sang his songs all the time when I was wee to the point where I couldn't distinguish between their voices. He died when I was 11 and listening to this brings so many conflicting emotions because it sounds as though my dad is singing to me

My favourite George song.

I absolutely love GM. This album is my favorite. I was dealing with a horrible disease when he died. I had known all his music because they didn't play it in the US. The unplugged is also fantastic. But I told myself if I make it though this disease I'm playing GM in my fantastic new car and loud. And that dream came true last Friday. That's all I play Peace Yog. You will and always be loved.. xoxo

Every now and then I listen to some George Michael. Different songs for different times but I ALWAYS come back to this one. We all yearn for someone to speak to us with the sincerity of this song, I guess.

Watched last Christmas film for the frist time today and when the girl started singing this song for some reason I broke down crying 🙁😭 maybe it is all the hidden pain inside . Love George and makes me sad his not in this world any more hope he made it to heaven through Jesus christ John 3.16❤ 🙏

missing George Michael ..

Catching up on the many, many years I lost track of George Michael and his art and career (spurred on by the Wham! Netflix doc), I started a playlist here and was immediately taken aback by the lovely melody when it started. Beatles-esque and just so sweet. And I never knew all this time he was writing all these classics and gems. What a supreme talent!

This is a REAL pop icon!

This was the song that opened my eyes to George Michael. I heard it in Monsoon in Manchester back in 1990 as I was buying shorts and things for 3 months in Belize. It completely blew me away and I had to stop clothes shopping and dash to buy Listen Without Prejudice. I think I had this song on almost permanent repeat for about three months ❤ RIP George x

I find this album cover photo absolutely riveting. It was taken on a boiling hot Sunday in July 1940 in Coney Island. Europe was tearing itself apart but thousands of miles away tens of thousands of New Yorkers were having a high old time at the beach. Note how the crowd is 99% white (beaches were unofficially segregated back then even in New York) and also notice how 99% are height/weight proportionate. As for the really pretty Latino looking lady bottom right sitting on the shoulders of an equally attractive young man, I would really love to know their story. Oh and finally ‘Heal the pain’ is one of GM’s very best

This brings tears to my eyes 😭 2 years ago in 2021 i remember how my family and i were in ukraine (country i was born in, i live in germany now) This song just hit so hard.. It played at like 1 or 2 am as we were driving around some forest/creepy street looking for a hotel cause we were spending the summer break there but now listening to this song just makes me cry uncontrollably knowing that the country i was in at that moment is in war right now 😭😭
