It was a great concert except for the guys behind us on the grass who were so stoned they thought Pink Floyd was playing. 😜Must of been something to do with the lazer light show.. Jeff Lynne's album that came out a couple of years ago was amazing and still has I'm sure many gems still ahead. I heard ELO have been working on a new album? Love to see him collaborate with Paul McCartney & Ringo again. I'd be chuffed if he did!

George wrote some of the most meaningful songs of the Beatle era and beyond. His double album after the breakup was amazing. Beautiful lyrics here.

The best way anyone could do some money is to buy George-E2 for the value of his musical talents and sell him for what people think he's worth.

@@jimmatherly I agree. I don't know when it happened but at some point people started thinking the word "underrated" had become a massive form of praise. It's a rubbish thing to say about music. Especially about a song as famous as this one.

This song came on the radio shortly after my mom passed recently. I'm so thankful for george harrison and the beatles for helping express how I feel. This song feels like a warm hug from my mama

Very soothing and peaceful, I agree.

Yet another reason to elevate your respect for this amazing man. In my day he was the "quiet Beatle." The one we kind of ignored. But in the years that passed he became incredibly important. John and Paul ignored him for too long, never really gave him the respect he was due. He was at the level of all four Beatles, the best band of the 20th century, for a long time. But long may their musical contribution be treasured. They all, George, Paul, John and Ringo were a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I wish all future generations will experience.

This song is so uplifting. I listen to it when I think about my daughter that's passed and it just helps me take a deep breath and know I can do this.

George had so much grace. I never had the privilege to get to see him but I miss him like a kin. His influence on me is monumental. It's so adorable to see Eric alongside George. Eric said in his interview in 2024 on The Real Music Observer that he still misses George. Not that the real fans weren't aware of it! Give us all PEACE, LOVE & LIGHT because we need them today more than ever.

Probably the greatest Solo Beatle. Paul may have the commercial success but George is the one who made the music stick. He just came out swinging and decided that hey, I was always there but I had to contend with the powerhouses. Definitely the undisputed King of Quiet.

Your opinion is yours, obviously. But objectively it's nonsense, of course. It's hard to find a more naturally musician, singer and composer ANYWHERE, not just in the Beatles, than Paul McCartney.

He is missed and his creativity is his gift to us with his musical masterpieces living beyond us.

Donna Simms I saw George in concert just once, on his only full U.S. tour in 1974, in support of his “Dark Horse” LP. “Dark Horse” was the name of the tour. His voice was hoarse on the album, and sounded much more hoarse during the show. He must’ve been in pain. It was disappointing at the time, and rock critics were very unkind, but nobody knew then it was to be George’s only U.S. solo tour. Thankfully, George got his voice back after the tour. I am so glad I went to that concert! I love George.

@@justintime42000 I saw him at The Albert Hall in London when he did a concert to promote the Natural Law Party in 1991. When he came onstage and kicked off with I Want To Tell You which was greeted by really loud applause, he said "I must be paranoid, I didn't think anyone liked me." The concert was great and he was brilliant; a brilliant musician and the most accomplished and gifted slide-guitarist ever.

George Harrison was my favorite Beatle. When my aunt was dying of cancer I was inconsolable. I would listen to George's solo work and it was soothing to me and got me through a very difficult time.

This song genuinely touches my soul. George Harrison is an absolute legend and the world is a better place for having had him in it, and for having his music. His legacy is both his incredibly talented son, Dhani, and his catalogue of beautiful music. I’m hopeful he achieved Moksha, All Those Years Ago.

George was the quiet Beatle. He sure could play a guitar. He was ahead of his time. My Anita who died some time ago met all four Beatles a few times said that they were always very nice. Always laughing and smiling. They are the "G.O.A.T"!

It's amazing that after hearing all those great Beatles songs that he still came up with a few more beautiful tunes,. Just a beautiful song

@@ChrisHayworth100 Peter Frampton says he helped George double harmony guitars on All Thing Must Pass, and specifically on the first single, which I THINK was My Sweet Lord (though he could be mistaken, it could be What Is Life he's thinking of). So it may not be Clapton.

@@lapelcelery42 I'm not 100% sure myself but I am about 99.9% sure that Clapton did my sweet Lord, but it was the early 70's so if Clapton knew anything he was doing I'd be surprised.

Many years ago I dreamed with George sitting in a chair and playing an electric guitar unplugged, as if rehearsing. I went over and I do not remember what I said and he smiled and said "just show yourself the way you are" and lowered his head and continued playing the guitar.

He had such a humble, peaceful vibe. Sorely missed in a world lacking these attributes.

I'm watching in 2023 !and I Love George Harrison, always on our minds and hearts!

By the end of the song I wanted more. That's how much I love George's music.

His music had so much spiritual depth, no other Beatle in my opinion had this . He is surely missed.

If I could only hold his beautiful face in my hands for a moment I'd say, "Thank you, George, for all your gifts".

This is the only prayer I need.

That moment after 2:17... I got emotional. The japanese camera crew actually shoted in a way that captured both George singing and the wonderful back up singer making those beautiful harmonies on top of George's voice. That's what makes this performance and this version so beautiful.

George Harrison just has such a beautiful voice when it comes to him singing.

George Harrison has surely played an important role in spreading the flame of spirituality to the West through his songs.

George stated that while on a trip, the thought “the yogis of the Himalayas” kept coming to him. Apparently the band were handed a book on reincarnation which also sparked an interest. After meeting Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the Beatles famously travelled to Rishikesh to study meditation. George really embraced it. A lot of his songs are George expressing himself to his God, including this one - “keep me free from birth” meaning to achieve Moksha: liberation from the reincarnation cycle. Through being such a beloved celebrity figure and through the content of his incredible songs, George definitely had an important role in spreading spirituality.

You can feel the love radiating from George, even through a screen. He was pure love and peace and spirit. I miss him

Tonight in a Denny's at a truck stop where two major interstates cross, I heard faint strains of "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)" coming from the kitchen. Later, waiting 16 minutes at a grade crossing to get into a nearly deserted industrial part of the city to pick up a trailer, this song continued to haunt me. Now, at home in the middle of the night I weep hearing this song again. Blessed be, George Harrison.

One of the greatest song writers and singers that ever lived. I could listen to his songs a million times. Isn't it a pity he passed away so very young! 💘 you George Harrison! Rest in peace.

I feel this is George's BEST song. Took me through some bad times in 1973.

Hands down George had the best post Beatles career. PM might be the wealthiest but George definitely was the best.
