I'm GLAD I was born when I was. I'll be 62 this year. I got to live thru ALL the best years in music, and remember hearing this song with The Beatles back when it was NEW in 1970. Gen X, Y, Z and Millennials etc. will NEVER know what that was like. This man is a LEGEND. He is LOVED by MILLIONS. Notice how EVERYONE in the audience KNOWS ALL THE WORDS.... I'm with you on that Buddy, I turned 65 today 4/24 and I remember all of the incredible music when it was brand new and other fun times of the era...lol, sometimes I wish we could go back and relive some of those fun times and friends who are not with us anymore, I sure do miss them.....Never in my wildest dreams did I think our Country would be in the shape it is now, or I would live to see the things that have been done by the current Administration to our People and Country. I pray that it will be corrected in November. God Bless our Country and her People that are still true Americans and believe in the American way of Life.....To Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness and to the belief that the American Dream is Achievable for any American who is willing to work hard for it....

Sure, I’ll never know it was like to be alive 62 years ago. But I’m sure someone who’s over 100 years old would probably have a different idea about what the “greatest music” is compared to this long-haired hippy dippy crap. /s I’m Gen X, and not only did I get your music, I got all the great music that came afterwards and was able to appreciate it in a way that you never did, because [read your post again]. And the same thing is happening to me now with whatever’s happening in the music industry at present. I’m out of touch pining about how great the 90s was. We’re all biased towards our own experiences as being the most valid. Truly great music is timeless. “Let it be” is one of those timeless songs. So is “Clair de Lune.” So is “Strange Fruit.” “Man in the Mirror.” “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” “Crazy In Love.” “Alright.” “Bad Guy.” And countless other songs I’ve probably never heard. I look forward to discovering more of them. I’m glad you enjoyed the music of your time. But your pity for younger generations is misplaced and myopic.

@@nathanaeldavenport2251Problem you have is you are not comparing like with like. I think it’s fair to say the 60s and 70s were to most creative of all eras of popular music, rock, soul, funk prog and jazz. Yes of course people love the music they grew up with, but those who were lucky enough to be growing up in these decades were fortunate to experience this incredible music at first hand.
The Eagles are rock legends. McCartney is a step above that. He is a historical figure. Great combo. RIP Jimmy.

I’m very proud to be a Scouser and being from Liverpool. I’ve lived in America for 42 years and go back often as the people of Liverpool are truly amazing people. “The salt of the earth” one would say with a very witty humor ❤️❤️. That shows through Paul and Ringo and how open and down to earth they are…..that’s Liverpool ❤️

I'm the youngest out of 8. The only one not born under the wings of the Liver birds. But I did see Buddy Holly perform there and I still know my way there as well.

Wonderful to see and hear 2 of my favorite acts playing together.
My two favorite singers...Sir Paul and Vince Gill on the stage together! Wish I were there! ❤❤
I feel fortunate to have been born in 64-lived through the greatest era in rock music!
Paul McCartney a true treasure.
Emotional but beautiful. Paul still got what it takes as if he was just a young guy. Much respect and love ❤️ What a fantastic Tribute for Jimmy with an All Star Cast.

The Goat. thank you for the music and hope you have always given the world. 53 and have been listening all my life. from the cradle to grave!
For the first time in my life, I can see that Paul has finally gotten old. And I remember 2/9/1964 like it was yesterday. I guess that means I'm old as well. What a gift he's given us.

😆 LOL! Then that makes 3 of us so far! I’m 70ish and remember the original Beatles music, and the one from the same year as you too. I still recall begging my parents to let me stay up past my normal bedtime to watch them on the Ed Sullivan show, which was then considered as being late - that was such a great treat for me! What great memories of 👍 years gone by!

That makes at least 4 of us...I'm 78 and saw them in 1964, 1965 and 1967 at Hollywood Bowl and Dodger Stadium. Have seen Paul in concert many times since then, the last time was at the Hollywood Bowl about 10 years ago. We grew up in the best generation and I'm still listening to 60s 70s and 80s music. The Beatles started the soundtrack of my life ❤❤❤

@@cheralbond8659 I am just a year behind you, turned 77 in March, and i saw them in '64 and '66 in Cleveland. They didn't come here in '65 because our mayor BANNED them after the '64 concert! LOL. Saw Paul with WINGS in May of '76 in Detroit, and have seen him many times since his '89/'90 tour until recently

@patticrichton1135 Thank you for your reply (I actually didn't think my response went thru because I couldn't find it afterwards). I have so many memories, hung around outside their house on Benedict Canyon for 10 days in 1965. Saw Wings 3 times at The Forum, went to the landmine benefit (his one mistake w/Heather). Went to London for 3 months in summer of '69 (a few months after the final rooftop concert). Got totally immersed with The British Invasion. Ahhh... those were the days.... thanks for your reply. : )

@@cheralbond8659 You are one of the original real fans. I have never seen the Beatles in concert however, when Paul was married to Heather Mills he played a private birthday party, which he had said, they just didn't do that. It was Larry Kings producer and her husband manages a huge money fund. I got to attend that event at a small restaurant in Rancho Santa Fe, California. I have seen the Eagles twice, and as a kid knew the lady who helped found the Eagles more than any outsider. Her little brother who just passed two years ago, was in my first grade class. Ah, nostalgia, is such a powerful drug. Cheers
A respectful supporting rendition from the Eagles. Well done.
Love this! Couldn't help imagining Ringo there on drums

Anything from Macca. gratefully received. Thanks.
Wow, Paul is in amazing shape for his age. Thank you Paul for all the songs you gave us!
Stage full of iconic musicians right there.
That was freaking amazing, Paul McCartney didn't want to stop singing. They were pulling the mics and he was still stalling on-stage. 😍There is no way I could have seen this tribute show for Jimmy Buffett. I am so grateful for DJ Gerry for posting this. The camera fade, pan, and editing were top-notch.
Just the words are awesome and heartfelt PAUL MCCARTHY
I can't imagine Paul singing this to the so ill Jimmy. How does one not cry? Paul is so beyond generous. And genius. I'm so grateful to have the Beatles music as the background to my life. RIP Jimmy. 💜

Woww what a wonderful and lovely performance even at this age😍😍😍 So much energy and liveliness✨❤️🔥 Long live Sir Paul McCartney and his brilliant performances💫✨
I remember the morning Sgt Pepper came out. I got up early and went to the record store, waited for it to open, bought it, ran back to my apartment and played it, over and over, transfixed. I remember every moment. It changed pop music, rock, everything. These four guys lived within 15 minutes of each other, in the same century.

Paul is SO MUCH the voice of the Beatles. From ballads to blues to jazz and good old rock and roll, Paul is an absolute master of numerous voices throughout his career. Its mind blowing how one man can sing in so many different tones and NAIL IT every time!💕
I saw Paul McCartney on 4th November 2023 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺 and he was fantastic.

My favorite word is IMAGINE and also PEACE. I grew up in the best decades for music and still play mostly 60s, 70s ,and 80s music. Guess I never really grew up. Thank you Paul, John, George and Ringo for being the soundtrack of my life ❤❤❤
