Geode Cracking Reveals 350 Million Year Trapped Water!
Cracking open some geodes from world, famous locality Keokuk, Iowa !! The crazy thing is that three of these were filled with water, two of them actually dating back 350 million years ago! Sometimes the water gets trapped in place as the geode was forming, and remained in there for that entire time, so exciting when you crack, one open and the water spills out!

That is terrible! I can imagine the value of those videos was more than the phone it's self! For my phone it backs up all my videos to the cloud when on wifi. It cost a bit but it's worth the peace of mind. Hope that never happens to you again. :(
Thanks for all the positive feedback yall.had a great time cracking these with Brian.was hoping t I do a collecting vid but was to rainy. Hopefully we can do one this spring.

Wow those geodes were beautiful with the larger crystals and druzy small ones and so sparkly. It's amazing to think that water has been in there all those millions of years, it would be just pure. Thank you Bryan, have a good week
Cool geodes! I liked the one at 2:40, reminded me of a perfect pearl in the oyster. And the one at 11:12, so awesome! Your friend needs a geode water collector with a screen under each of his geode cracks. Collect it, fountain of youth water - evidently lol:) Sorry about your phone! I hope they realize what they have and give it back to you!
Man I would love to look at some of the water under a microscope.

Oh wow, I hate that that happened to you with the bank, hopefully it’s fixed now, those things can be a mess! I am really loving the camper set up, it cost a bit more to get around with gas and to stay at places, but I think it equals out since I can disconnect the truck and get around to more locations.
Beautiful geodes. Matrix on the picnic table is adorable!!!!! 🐶🦴
Wish pipe cutters weren't so darn expensive. My saw with lapidary blade was FAR cheaper. This year I've cut 1k+ geodes on 1 blade and only cut thru a couple specimens the wrong way. Pipecutters are nice but saws are really good for entry level.

It’s a dream of mine to go find some like these. I live on the other side of Illinois and have been wanting to plan a day trip across to that area. Any advice on where to go or how to set up? I have some basic mining gear. I have always seen beautiful geodes in stores but nothing compares to the ones you find yourself. I would value an enhydro geode like one of those more than any diamond.
@merridithbramble5966

I don’t know about Illinois but here in Nevada I find them all of the time just on the ground while hiking just right off the paths. I’ve always spotted them on the surface and never had to dig much at all. Don’t know if that helps but I hope you find some beautiful geodes for yourself!
The Elixir of the GEODE
Wow so amazing geode
It's generally not recommended to drink water out of a geode. Here's why: Unknown Minerals: The minerals inside a geode can vary depending on its geological history. Some minerals might be harmless, while others could be toxic if ingested. Bacteria: While geodes are often sealed for millions of years, there's a chance recent fractures or cracks could have allowed bacteria or other contaminants to enter. Stagnant water can also harbor bacteria growth. Unknown Chemical Composition: The water itself might have been trapped for a very long time and could contain dissolved minerals or other chemicals in unknown concentrations, potentially making it unsafe to drink. In short, the risks outweigh the potential benefits. There's no guarantee the water is safe, and there are much better ways to quench your thirst!
Matrix is soo cute! @10:39 😊😅❤
I would prefer to crack open a geode like Rockhound Rob does, there were some beauties he opened there Bryan. I have seen half and part geodes in our Son's shop, the amethyst ones are my favourites lol. I hadn't seen a whole one till your video, everyone of them contains a surprise. Matrix doesn't seem enthusiastic about the snow bless him, he isn't the only one, I wonder what he would be like if it starts laying? Dinner time for me so cheerio my darlings God bless you love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK

Yeah, they are more fun to crack open. That way I agree, I would love to find an amethyst geodes, but I don’t think we have those in our country.
When you go geode hunting and you get thirsty just crack one and drink the water
Imagine being that drop of water sleeping for 350 million years, you wake up and a weird old man want to drink you.
Awesome!!! 😄💙🐬
