One thing I find kind of ironic is that the crystals that have so much color you want to display them in the sunlight - amethyst, citrine, and other quartz; topaz, etc., can’t be displayed that way or they will lose their color. 😔

Went to Emerald Hollow mine and it didn't disappoint they had great digging areas with plenty of quartz points and if your lucky you can find some different colors like smoky or light pink to almost purple pieces personally I've found most of the of the pieces are a bit small but ive picked up a few nice sized chunk of rainbow quartz Garnet and some nice mica specimens on the 2 days ive spent there digging the creek didn't have much to find in it tho so would definitely recommend digging a group close to where I decided to dig eventually carved a cliff edge out and broke into a small emerald pocket nothing bigger than a grain of rice but worth the work you can bring a wheelbarrow for the best use of time if you plan on panning though your spoils because the sluice is pretty far away
