Gentle full-body chiropractic and myofascial session relaxing ASMR

Our patient Kundalini presented asymptomatic for a wellness session (I like the term proactive care) and we did a full body, toe-to-head session with her, focusing on areas where we both felt the need for some release and restoration of tone, circulation, and mobility. We worked on her spine, shoulders, gluteals and hips, did a releases of the coccyx, ribs, arms, neck and ended with a cervical adjustment.

This is exactly what so many people need. Wish there were more chiropractors like you out there. I've been to maybe 6 and none do anything close to this.

Hi Dr. Russ! Do you work on any patients with plantar fasciitis? I have a particularly stubborn case and I’d love to see how you address it. Love your videos - thank you!

kzread.info/dash/bejne/d62Gl5iEecS0hKQ.html This is a video about deep calf and ankle work, which is often the root cause of plantar fasciitis. If I have a patient with PF amenable to a video, I'll do one with them. Thank you!

Hi Dr. Russ! New LMT in Texas here. So grateful to have your content available to us. I seem to recall you mentioned in a separate video that you started as a massage therapist as well. Are there any literature resources or otherwise that you can recommend for someone like myself just building the skills of assessment and treatment? Would love to see a video on your favorites. Thank you for taking time to share your experience. Your work impacts far and wide.

Hey thanks! And welcome to the greatest occupation in the world :). I did a short a few months ago with my favorite books: kzread.infovxGeizyRy6w?feature=share For an LMT I would so heartily suggest the Trigger Point Manual by Travell and Simons, it's dense as heck so if it seems like too much (and too expensive) there are other great trigger point works; Craniosacral therapy by Upledger, Anatomy Trains by Myers, and if it's not too woo-woo for you, The Heart of Listening by Hugh Milne. Best of luck and I'm glad you are here!

Is your particular style of chiro named? Eg I currently use Gonstead but I appreciate your style. Ae you entirely unique in your approach?

  • @DrRussInYourPocket

Hello! I call the adjusting "modified Gonstead". It's very Gonstead in palpation and how I think of listings, and I find the pelvic approach in particular very effective. But I was also heavily influenced by Diversified, of course that's what they taught at school. I find articular restriction can be at the disc level or the facet level. Gonstead approach for disc-level and Diversified for facet-level.
