Not Dr. Russ coming for the ringdinger! 🔥💯
OMG that’s what I need! I’ve been trying Soft wave for lower back SI and Planter fascia
This is EXACTLY what I've been dealing with for years. I just realized over the last month how to release most of the tightness, by targeting most of what Dr. Russ is doing. However, its difficult to perfom it on myself. I can't reach all of the areas. My main problem is that it comes back after releasing. How do we heal permanently? 😫
I wish we had you in the UK! 🇬🇧
Great channel and nice video +134👈, it was a pleasure to watch.😊
What can I do? I’ve cracked one tooth in the process of cracking two others, busted my night guard and I can’t get any reprieve from the jaw tension.z… I don’t want to get Botox and I don’t think that’s the answer
While I can't give specific advice, I would always recommend seeking the root of the problem. Clenching and bruxism are usually symptoms of either malocclusion (a structural issue with the teeth and jaw) or stress/anger/anxiety. Which is it for you? Or a combination?
I believe anger . I’ve been doing so much to decrease it, but the jaw isn’t budging.
Hi Dr. Russ! I’m a huge fan of your work and the son of a chiropractor, interestingly. When I was (as you very nicely put it) the tender age of seventeen, I chose a very different career path….finance/accounting where I passed my CPA and have had a successful career. A few years ago I began coaching CrossFit and I do some health/wellness coaching too. I’ve been considering going to chiropractic school because my passion is helping people heal, grow and reclaim their health. I’m 34 and am concerned I’m too old to make such a stark transition. Any advice?
Yes! First of all congratulations on your success in finance and accounting, I hope that you give yourself good kudos for making that happen. There are so many ways to be involved with folks in their healing, growth, and recovery. I like chiropractic because of the breadth of the scope of practice and the depth of the education I had access to. What experiences in your coaching role have been the most exciting? And is there a way for you to play a satisfying role in the lives of others without the commitment of time and money to a DC degree? If not, then you should go for it. If so, you should start with those and give it six months or a year, maybe two, and see if you are still craving more knowledge and tools. I wish you continued success!
@@DrRussInYourPocket thanks so much for the kind message. It’s helpful!!
Hi Dr. Russ, thank you so much for this unique content. I can see how it might not be as attractive to the general public compared to your treatment videos. But as a young practitioner, I draw a lot from these kinds of videos, where it is obvious that you’re speaking from years of experience in the field.
"The Master" at work 🤗
Wonderful, thank you ❤
Thank you for sharing Dr. Russ, I'm a 46 year old, that's worked in software for the better part of my career. I've been through nursing school in 2010, however never had the opportunity to finish, due to child rearing. Now my adult kids are in college. And I've been accepted to Palmer. I attempted to start in the Spring, but chickened out and was a bit intimidated by how young my cohort was. Starting at this age scares me, but I'm finding ways to push through and go past my fears. I totally agree when you mentioned "How am I going to get through Neuroanatomy?". Still on the fence, if I should return. But my heart is calling for something different!
May you have good fortune, whatever road you take. It is such a big decision and I truly wish you well on your path!
@@DrRussInYourPocket Thank you!
Awesome update! Hope summers going well.
Thanks! You too!
You are clearly a master of your work, and as someone who has worked with countless chiropractors over many years, I have such appreciation for the fact that you clearly have a deep understanding of muscles/soft tissue, and actually do this kind of work and not just the standard “flying seven” snap/pop adjustment. I wish I lived in your area to be able to work with you! Do you have any colleagues you recommend that do similar work in Austin? Would be so grateful 🙏
Yes!!! Dr Misty Funk. Excellent and dedicated Chiro with great soft tissue skills. myofascialaustin.com/

It’s possible for me to work with very large patients, but yes it is harder to access some of the important areas.
@@DrRussInYourPocket thank you so much ♥️ for replying
Many points very similar to what my taichi coach explanations. 👍
It’s a no for me. I’d be very uncomfortable unless it was a female doctor.
Your pain is not strong enough, I guess.
@@csibesz07 Im sure there’s a female doctor who can do this too.
This looks like amazing healing work. Thank you for sharing! If there’s anyone in nashville you recommend let me know!
I wish it was me you were working on. We don’t seem to have Chiropractor that include a massage like technique in addition to the adjusting and cracking part. Folks really need this. Thanks for sharing. Old lady from Illinois.
Wow! I wish you were in my area in Maine. I keep telling MTs and Chiro my ribs are stuck on right and can't get any of them to listen to me. Chiros I've been to just mash on my ribs and lock them up worse!
Oh no! Sorry to hear that
Dr Russ- I very much enjoyed this update video as well as your last one! I hope this continues to be a format of video that you upload!
Thanks! I will :)
Hi Dr. Russ, curious if you have insight into NUCCA Chiro. I’d like to hear your opinion on it and if it could potentially help nTOS. I recently had a provider recommended a couple local vetted NUCCA practitioners to check out for treating my condition. Trying to avoid the first rib scalenectomy operation. Have tried what feels like everything - massage, acu, surgery (pec minor release), Botox, rolf, myofascial release, PT.. you name it. Just thought I’d reach out to see if you happen to know about their work! Thanks much.
Hi! Disclaimer, I have never received NUCCA work, nor have I received any training. My knowledge is all second-hand from patients. The feedback I get from folks who have received it is that it's very gentle and precise, which I like. If your problem stems from chronic tightness/shortness of the scalenes, I can see how it might help. I think you should try it, I do know that it is safe to try. Good luck with it and thanks for reaching out!
Thank you. And thanks to your client. Those are tricky ones... Very helpful..
Are you counting each client as though there shouldn’t be any? Why is degradation a compelling notion for some? Is apparent social hierarchical abuse a prerequisite of money & status of some kind?? How is establishment even possible, when all the wrong people with the wrong skills & values are wrongly placed to covertly harass, degrade & bounce the few like corrupt policemen would? Makes me wonder what they’ve been using that tracker system for??✏️🛰️⌚️
Thank you...I WILL do these exercises. As far as the video itself...I could sure do without the cars in the background. Such a nice forested scene...then the intrusion of technology...ouch.
Totally!
I really need to come in and get checked out by you. I have the weirdest most painful spasm in my upper left and right abdominal muscles/rib area, and no one has been able to tell me what it is. One chiropractor, two physical therapists, and three ER doctors. They say X-Rays look normal. Hopefully I can see you soon!
You're very kind, Dr Russ
Love this video very very helpful. Thank you.
Reality Check---The average income for a chiropractor ( $ 78,000 is not worth the blood, sweat or tears).. After the basic 4 year for your Pre Med bachelor's degree, you get to suffer through 4 more years of No Income while acquiring Big Time Debt. I am a retired optometrist and I share this with perspective optometry students. Optometrists make $ 145,000 on average and it is also not worth the blood, sweat or tears in this profession either. You might be young and idealistic at this point, but later in life you will want a standard of living commiserate with your schooling. I just thought I should share my thoughts. "Do well in Life and then Do Good. "
Thanks for sharing.
I love this video. I wish you could come to do treatments in South africa
Would love a guided progressive muscle relaxation from you!

@@DrRussInYourPocket that’ll work! Thanks!
Thank you!! I reside a far difference from you however I would like to receive your care. Really appreciate you doing this video. Refreshing to know some still remain true to patients
Dr Russ, I just wanted to say: I did not believe in chiropracty pretty much at all until I found your channel. I'm a theoretical physics phd student and I found so much of the field to be very woo woo. I also discounted craniosacral therapy as nonsense. You have changed my mind on a lot of these things. Don't get me wrong; I still think a lot of youtube chiro is nonsense, but I have a much more open mind while retaining critical thinking about certain health practices. Thought you would want to know. You're such a great health care provider. Keep up the great work! ❤
Hi! I appreciate this comment so much. Chiropractic, the way I practice it, is grounded and I'm glad that comes through. Thanks for watching and I agree, a lot of chiro on youtube is sensationalized, sexualized, and doing a disservice to patients and providers alike. I will keep up the work and I look forward to more engagement!
Hi! What a great video! I watched the whole thing! I'm just now pivoting back to body work and this is such a matter insight into running a business to sustainably help people in an informed, holistic way. Thank you.
Thank you! I appreciate it and I'll link here to a couple other videos you might enjoy. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6mH1ZeHpqbeidY.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/g3eIxteanL2efMo.html
Hello Dr Russ, how difficult would it be to transition from nursing to being a chiropractor? Especially being over 40yrs old?
Hello! I think it would be challenging in some ways, just as any big transition at that age can be. However in terms of patient care, chiropractic is not any more difficult than nursing. I would say easier than many nursing specialties, and very rewarding personally and you get to see folks getting better quickly. I wonder if you would be able to transfer any of your nursing education credits to a chiro school?
Thanks very much for posting videos, always very interesting and reassuring. Please keep up the good work. Kind regards from England👍
@ 12 min is exactly what I feel I need right now 😭 😢
