When we trim our fender liners or add fiberglass to our rigs you are opening up the intake to potential harm. You can do a snorkel but not many people want to fit a snorkel to fiberglass. Not putting fender liners or a snorkel on your rig after modifications can cause your engine to hydrolock.
GearTech Customs makes some awesome products to solve this issue and give you peace of mind that your engine will be safe from the elements. If you are doing deep water crossings I Recommend a snorkel but if you go slow and they aren't past your tires in depth you should be okay.

This was a great video, the company does not even put out any how to install videos and this is the first I have found on the internet for the GearTech liners.

I had a set made cause of having a tube bumper. Came in a little box wrapped up. No idea how to install em. Have to call him tomorrow.

Awesome to get more information about these liners as there isn’t a whole lot out there and they seem to be a great product. On the passenger side of the 3rd gen Tacoma is it recommended to leave the airbox scoop on with these liners with trimmed factory fenders ?

I left the scoop on with mine but will be going to a CAI soon that seals to the hood

@@kobyas 14 diode ss3 pros. 6 yellow and 8 white. Wired to be dual function by blaze Offroad so I can run just yellows, just whites or all 14 at once.
