That's an inflation ripoff. Anyone can do this stuff. You just have to be willing to take your time and get the right tools or know someone. A simple jeep club can help for most people.

@@c130aviator hey man, glad I commented on this, didn't think you'd reply as you posted this a long time ago. But I've watched your entire series and countless other from the jeep community. I'm very inspired to basically follow this to the tee. Granted, as I've stated most of the prices for all the differential components have been pretty inflated, it's still quite some savings doing it myself. my JT is my 1st jeep and I'm gonna DIY my gears this summer 2023. Never done gears before but I'm pretty mechanically inclined and having high attention to detail due to military background as well. I'm gonna buy the components piece by piece and be a hawk for sales and discounts.
can you explain again as to why the yukon bearing puller is optional?
