Sent this to frustrated Chinese friends with near college age daughters feeling the ethnic rejection heat. Suggested they consider Singapore as an alternative. Highly rated schools absent the blatant racism. Thanks for this well articulated post Marty.

Right on! My biracial son is white/Asian ( Asians are discounted as being white adjacent by the DEI community ) and is applying to medical school this cycle. The staggering number of mission statements and descriptions to promote, recruit, and celebrate DEI /Diversity is ridiculous. The deliberate choice of pictures showcasing members of a particular racial group reveals the agenda of admissions is not based on qualifications but on quotas disguised in holistic admissions.

He is so right. I am a white, Jewish woman who graduated from a good school with a masters degree in counseling psychology. I had a 4.0. I passed the Florida examination to become a licensed mental health counselor the first time I took the test, with a high score. I found job discrimination since I do not speak Spanish. I took a test for the country had the highest score, and was not hired years ago, because I was white. I have suffered reverse discrimination my entire career. I know a Cuban woman who failed the state license examination several times, yet never had a problem finding the best jobs in South Florida. This is so unfair. Being Jewish puts me in the major minority in this nation, yet it is not considered a minority in the job market.

Wait, why do people need to know if you are Jewish? Spanish is fantastic. If you have time, learn it. It opens up a continent if culture. If course affirmative action and political correctness are in operation. I am appalled on so many levels. By the way, I've edited books for 25 years. I have not been impressed by Harvard graduates or even Cambridge graduates..or professors. In the Anglo-Saxon world, education has become associated with money, with a commodity. Next any match where a single person calls for the death if anyone, but especially Jews, us do blatantly obvious a hate crime. I'll give the person one chance. If the person continues, I'd both kick him or her out of the university and bring them to jail. Not condemning a hate march is even worse. Those who allow it should leave their positions immediately. U think that students likely know no history, geography or geopolitics. They stupidly believe that Jews stole Arab land in 1948 abd consider Palestinians to all be che guevara, who incidentally was a murderer. Ignorance plus the desire to show the world what a bleeding heart one has ate likely motives. It's horrifying and dusgusting

Success and hard work are punished.Spanish is usually a Dade County thing. I don't think you would need Spanish in Boca Raton. (Ironic as that city has two Spanish words). I live in NYC and in local government it is what you describe discrimination just for being Jewish. I am a Cuban Jew but they just see the Jew part. If you complain that you are discriminated as a Jew they dismiss the complaint immediately. To file a discrimination complaint you need to be black, Latin or gay.Things are getting bad.

simple solution...cut Federal funding to any college that doesn't dismantle it's DEI programs and staff. Additionally, remove their tax-exempt status and tax their endowments. Further, prohibit all foreign gifts to US colleges. Also, stop all Federal contracts with colleges that support this discrimination. And finally, make it a federal civil rights violation for any group that intimidates, or interferes with another groups programs.

I think that it would be better for Claudine Gay to stay in her job. She now carries the taint of her vile, incompetent testimony before Congress and the accurate perception that she's an unqualified person who has her position due to DEI. Replacing her with an unknown person would produce the false impression that Harvard has actually fixed its deep seated dysfunction and racism. Gay remaining in her job would properly extend her loathsome reputation to harvard as a whole, rather than providing the school with a get-out-of-DEI-shame-free card. So yes, please keep president Gay right where she is.

Gay resignation would be used by Harvard as fig leaf, it will not change the organization. It is better that Harvard will "enjoy" her leadership while she is a limping duck and clinging to her position. Only that will teach the lesson regarding the fallacy of handing a position based on identity politics and not on merit.

Oh as a non American, oxbridge was ' it ' back in the days of the british empire, not since then. All of china and india would much rather be in harvard .

I've never understood why university admissions processes are not run like those in other countries where there is university entrance exam (NOT SAT, but actually knowledge exams), and admissions are totally ANONYMOUS as the university only considers the SCORES and have no idea who is attached to the application. THAT is fairest way. It cuts down on this ridiculous inflation of the number ADMINISTRATORS, who have massively inflated the cost of US universities, and takes ALL bias/unfair advantages/disadvantages away from admissions. MAKE ADMISSIONS ANONYMOUS (with obvious security measures), and we will return to sanity.

There are many clear cases across all industries of diversity hires, sadly its not that they just took a preferred gender race maybe even religion that was equally qualified, its often a blatant case of choosing a person regardless of how unqualified they actually are. Could some factors be used as tie breakers, perhaps, but to replace qualification for appearance or shape of genitals even mental abnormalities to demonstrate how woke the deciding person or institution is, just hurts everyone exponentially.

Need to change the name of Harvard University to Havard University. The school loses the “R” which stands for “Respecting” the fundamental principle of intellectual integrity and accountability. Havard University’s new motto should be: “All people are equal, but some people are more equal than others”. To be fair and honest: I want to give credit for my idea to “George Orwell's novel "Animal Farm." His quote was: "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." The words above concerning the new motto were slightly changed, I hope that is OK to support my intellectual integrity.

There’s naked plagiarism (blatant) and there’s a violation called ‘lazy plagiarism.’ This was addressed and modified and later prompted her resignation. Personally, on YT and other social media, my colleagues, friends and I have each experienced a great deal of deliberate plagiarism from various and popular Black relationship “gurus” gossip, lifestyle or faith based influencers. They or their moderators will boldly remove facts and comments correcting any misinformation from us legitimate professionals. They will then use other our intellectual property as commentary for their content to pass themselves off as credible and well experienced. However, this isn’t to say that all Black academics or lucrative professionals outside of social media are incapable or prone to misuse of intellectual property. They have blocked so many people from alerting others. We no longer support them or others who do the same.

I don’t care what a person looks like, in the end it’s all about what have they accomplished and what do they deliver… She did everything right to make more people racist while that should have been the opposite. She’s the example why people start to hate groups of people just for how they look or act. It’s disgusting that in a country as the USA this was possible, but as a wise man once used to say, every country deserve the government they have.

Mr. Nemko, I throughly enjoy your presentation, analysis and your content and delivery are excellent. At times you quote well respected people but when you add your opinion, it makes me hungry to hear more from you and I wonder what other hidden gems are waiting to come out. I’m surprised your membership is not higher than it is and want to offer some suggestions that could enhance your credibility, thus increase your number of followers. It mainly has to do with the visual domain, which distracts from your presentation. 1. Your background set: it is ascetically imbalanced. Think in terms of how visually a painting is balanced. Humans are naturally attracted to beauty and balance. The pictures on the wall in the room behind you are imbalanced and then there’s a window. There is significant research on color and the effects it has on people. It sets a mood. For example, gray signifies death and dying and that is the dominate color of your background. A splash of color would redirect eyes to something lively. Hopefully you have artist friends or could find an interior design person (or a student perhaps) and ask them for feed back on your set by viewing a few minutes of several of your videos but make sure to turn down the volume so they don’t become distracted by your rich content. The fix might be simple and inexpensive. 2. The lighting: some of your videos the lighting is better than at other times but it needs to be consistent. If you haven’t done so already, there are a number of KZread videos on how to improve lighting. 3. Your physical appearance: I don’t come at this topic empty handed or randomly. I have over 30 years of makeover experience as a hairstylist that includes clothing, the use of color, accessories and makeup. In addition, I am an experienced recruiter and life coach, with a BA degree to help individuals present themselves in the best possible way in order to help them achieve their goals. With that said, I’m not suggesting a beauty contest or major plastic surgery but rather taking all of your assets and highlighting them and minimizing your deficits so no one fixates on them. What’s right about your appearance: You wear baldness well and it adds to your credibility. You are neither obese nor too thin. Your facial expressions reflect your words. In other words it shows consistency that leads to credibility. What needs improvement: 1. Glasses: the shape of your frames fit well on your face and the color is good but the lenses reflect light. Consider getting non reflective lenses. 2. Your attire: wearing t-shirts and pull overs tends to distract my attention to looking at your wrinkled neck and it makes me feel like you don’t put much effort into how you look compared to how much you put into your content. I too am a senior citizen and have a turkey neck, so I empathize with you. Anything we can do to minimize or distract from our imperfections, helps. To sum up, the disparity between a polished and content rich presentation contrasted with a Joe Smo who looks like he just came in from the garage wearing a t shirt, at an unconscious level makes me less receptive to you. You are speaking to a wide array of viewers. At the present, you probably already have the epicural content aficionados (of which I am) in your pocket but could broaden your appeal to those who tend to inspect a box before opening it. I suggest you wear a buttoned down long sleeve solid color shirt and a jacket either sports or dress. Avoid vests or cardigan sweaters unless you want to look like Mr. Rogers. Tie is optional but couldn’t hurt unless you pick an outdated style, like from the 70s. Look to Victor Hanson and Tucker Carlson as good examples of older men who dress well for the camera and wear nice looking ties. 3. Facial hair: with your current lighting, sometimes you look like you just woke up from an all night drunk with a 5 o’clock shadow. Improve the lighting and give yourself a clean and close shave before you record. Also, buy a corded professional trimmer (e.g. Oster) to trim your mustache. The cordless are not as powerful and lose battery life quickly. The outline of your moustache should be above your lips and be slightly tapered. If you don’t know how to do this, go to an experienced barber and ask him to teach you how to get the closest shave at home and how to trim your mustache. Or become completely clean shaven and lose the mustache all together. The key is about looking current, sane and credible. I think everyone has seen or encountered someone out of touch with reality by their appearance. They look like they are trapped in a time warp from another era or look disheveled, homeless and then want to get into a serious intellectual conversation. They raise eyebrows and concern. Not to be confused by celebrities such as Duck Dinesty, Phil Robertson who dresses for effect or persona. They are the exception because they earned credibility by their entertainment ability to attract and keep an audience. Their appearance and dress enhances their persona/character role. Regardless, looking appropriate and current for your age group is the best way to go. The last thing that is missing with your presentations is offering consulting services or a private membership/ Patreon account where you create videos and teach on specifics from your educational expertise. With that additional revenue, it could be used to enhance your persona even further or anything else that suits your fancy.

to Mr. Nemco, Gay was chosen to be the president of this prestigious university especially because she was a mediocre in all relevant aspects of this position. Her nomination was part of the general trend to breake traditions, to scorn dignity, to brazantly show to regular people that they are insignificant and unimportant. A similar line of thought and behavior was applied when they chose Kamala Harris to be VP, and when they led Bill Clinton to lecture about honering women, and many more occasions.

As an evidence driven individual, can you forward the evidence for your claims regarding a job application granted on the grounds of colour? Whilst publications are used to measure productivity in research, it of itself is not a virtue or character defining. By applying your logic, the founding fathers Aristotle, Galileo, Pythagoras and the like must all be incompetent too. To me, your measurements for intelligence and ability only serve to reveal the borders of your own. And as a well adjusted tool of the society that has privileged you, you cannot possibly fathom the impact of this internalised elitist definition of intelligence. It has been my observation that this general treatment is reserved for any in the social sciences or so called alternative schools.

The Harvard Board is protecting that independence and I applaud them for it against the Jewish donor bullying.

You are the problem, more so than gay. Where was your free speech when the lecture on climate change was canceled because the lecture didn't agree with the man-made climate change hoax?
