Chomsky is so wise and clean into his analysis, so genuinely upset about the way the world is dealing with problems... There's so much to learn from this illuminated's man mind. Very few people in the world are able to share this level of knowledge and understanding regarding past and modern world. We shall all say THANK YOU to him for the incredible contribution he's still giving in his old age.

Strange that Noam calls for bloody revolutions that require guns, but we already know can’t take Noam at his word. Ever!! Of course, he’s never admitted when he’s been proven wrong, he’s never even admitted when proven to have made-up FAKE and False claims (I.e. the Al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum).. he also supports totalitarian regimes like Pol Pot, the evacuation of Phnom Penh in 1975, tens of thousands of people died. Almost the entire middle class was deliberately targeted and killed, including civil servants, teachers, intellectuals, and artists. No fewer than 68,000 Buddhist monks out of a total of 70,000 were executed. 50% of urban Chinese were murdered. He called Mao Tse-tung’s “relatively livable” and “just society,” that ended with a total death toll of thirty million people. Chomsky still refused to admit how wrong he had been over Cambodia, he’s never admitted being wrong about Sudan.. Noam has a history of citing false resource and made-up/fake claims, his need to be relevant, and pretend he’s not part of the Deep State, his inability to admit when wrong even when millions of brutal deaths are starring him in the face has painted in detail the long political history of this aging activist demonstrating that double standards of the same kind have characterized his entire career.

We need to be careful of "the echo chamber". I want to hear from brilliant people with all different points of view. I wish I could have a conversation with Noam over the points upon which we disagree. All of us have cultural blind spots that color our views. People with different views have different blindspots than ours but we can see their blindspots, and they can see ours. We need civil discussion with genuine curiosity on each "side" in order to see the other point of view. That's how we can help each other remove the blinders.

@@patricialongo5870 Not everyone. Read my comment. I’m a third generation union construction worker. Noam is spot on. He grew up during the height of the labor movement. You’d be wise to listen to what he has to say (better yet, offer up supported criticism of particular ideas of his that you take issue with.) I’d encourage you to offer up a bit more in your own stand-alone comment instead of merely complaining about your perception of others. The fact of the matter is that the labor movement and union organizing gave us everything that most U.S. citizens take for granted: - Weekends - All breaks at work including your lunch break - Child labor laws - Paid vacation - Social security - Sick leave - The 8 hour work day - The 40 hour work week - Overtime pay - OSHA - Workplace safety standards and regulations - Employer health insurance - Wrongful termination laws - Americans with disabilities act It was once common for trains of American women to pull ships into harbors by hand using ropes, because they were cheaper than horses. Say what you will about the horrors of 20th century communism (I will certainly not deny it, and am not nearly a communist myself) but laissez-faire capitalism is just as horrific. If you ask me, if either ideology truly has their way, the result is a Pyrrhic victory. History proves as much. That’s not even the half of it, as far as the labor movement and laissez-faire capitalism goes; hundreds if not thousands of books have been written on the matter.

A most humble, honest and grateful man who gives his life to help enlighten others and help remove the government issued rose-colored glasses which most of us grew up wearing. He doesn't need the money, he doesn't require applause, he simply uses his talents for the good of humans. To me Noam Chomsky is an extraordinary humanitarian. He's truly a gift for us all. Thank you Mr. Chompsky for all you do.

I understand what you mean, but I do not think Chomsky is humble at all. I think some people hold a skewed image of Chomsky as a sort of messianic figure. Almost like a cult of personality. From the many many videos and interviews of him I have viewed over the years he never gave me an impression of being humble. In fact I think he often makes very arrogant statements dismissing any, even friendly disagreements someone poses to him. For example, of course, I know many of his political positions over the years resonated with people. I think he should not get credit for common sense. But ok. The arrogance Chomsky shows is when he describes a picture of the world as a sort of absolutist bi-polar world in which there is his abstract characterization of "United States run by the military industrial complex" and currently the other side for him is "China". In the past the "other side" was "USSR" until it disappeared. If you notice he absolutely ignores any objections even from his left of center colleagues. I mean he just ignores them and arrogantly says "use your brain" or "It was always like this" or even I heard him say "trust me I know". For example I heard people object to his refusal to acknowledge any moral agency or cultural aspects of the smaller, less powerful countries, and regions. He just acts like they do not exist and the entire world is controlled by China and the US. I mean it is very disturbing when he essentially agrees with the right wingers like Trump who present the worldview of "us against them", "US vs the World", "US vs China". I think even if you respect and like his previous work at some point you have to acknowledge that even formerly brilliant men have to face the fact that they become senile and less mentally flexible due to no fault of their own.

To the comments at stop Fear, you are doing more damage. Without the benefit of reviewing your CV, Naom Chomsky, whether you agree or disagree is a man of outstanding intellect and if listened to this interview, you may have reined in your ego. The world needs a great deal more thinkers like Naom Chomsky for the greater good of the human race. Stop spliting hairs, we shouldn't care less if he is an arrogant prick or a humble Saint, the message is the same. Nuclear War is not an option. America, just stop. Another bullshit interview by a know-nothing sycophant, who lets Chomsky ramble on with his pro-Putin propaganda, following a career of supporting any murderer-dictator who opposed the U.S. or an ally of the U.S. It's an utter lie that Ukraine was willing to negotiate but that the U.S. vetoed it. Complete fabrication, but a necessary one in order to push Putin's narrative that it's a "proxy war" caused primarily by the U.S. and allies. And what is there to "negotiate"? How much Ukraine territory should be conceded to the aggressor? Notice that Chomsky never says a word about that. He can't of course just state openly that he wants Ukraine to capitulate, so he has to disguise his position with vague duplicitous allusions to "negotiations". It's exactly what the creepy alliance of French fascists and Stalinists advocated in the face of Nazi aggression.

THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "is a great last day that He will save man" "The Millennial Kingdom has come" . ... (when Moses was in the forest, God directly instructed and spoke to him. From the sky God sent food, water, and manna and it is still like this today. It will be like Joseph: Everything came to him and bowed down, for he had food.) Almighty God said Have you seen what WORK of GOD WILL BE FULFILLED in this GROUP of PEOPLE? God once said, even in the MILLENNIUM KINGDOM, PEOPLE SHOULD STILL FOLLOW HIS WORDS and CONTINUE, and in the FUTURE, the WORD OF GOD WILL DIRECTLY GUIDE HUMAN LIFE TO THE GOOD LAND OF CANAAN. 🙏 When Moses was in the forest, God instructed and spoke directly to him. From HEAVEN GOD SENT FOOD, WATER, and MANNA for MAN to ENJOY, and it is STILL LIKE THIS TODAY: GOD PERSONALLY SET THE THINGS FOR PEOPLE TO EAT and DRINK to ENJOY, and He PERSONALLY sent curses to punish people. And so every step of His WORK is PERSONALLY FULFILLED by GOD. NOW, PEOPLE ARE SEARCHING for the truths to happen again, they are trying to see signs and wonders, and those people can be neglected, because the work of God is the one that is gradually being verified. NO ONE KNOWS that GOD CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, they still do not KNOW that GOD SENDS FOOD and DRINK from HEAVEN----thus, He is the REAL LIVING ONE, and the pleasant SCENES of the MILLENNIUM KINGDOM that what PEOPLE think are also PERSONAL WORDS of GOD. ☀️ This is the truth, and only this exists with God on earth. God's existence on earth refers to the flesh. Those who are not of the flesh are not on earth, and thus all those who focus on going to the third heaven are acting in vain. One day, when the entire universe returns to God, the CENTER of His WORK in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE will FOLLOW the VOICE of GOD; elsewhere, some will call, some will use an airplane, some will use a boat on the ocean, and some will use lasers to receive the word of God. ALL will be WORSHIPFUL, and DESIRED, they will ALL BE CLOSE to GOD, and GATHER--GATHER to GOD, and ALL WILL WORSHIP GOD----and ALL of these are GOD'S WORKS. Remember this! GOD WILL NEVER START AGAIN anywhere. ☀️ GOD WILL FULFILL THIS TRUTH: HE WILL MAKE ALL MANKIND IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE FOLLOW HIM, and WORSHIP GOD ON EARTH, and HIS WORK IN OTHER PLACES WILL STOP, and PEOPLE WILL BE FORCED TO FIND THE TRUE PATH. This will be JOSEPH'S PARABLE: ALL CAME TO HIM for FOOD, and BOWED HIM, because he had FOOD. To AVOID FAMINE, PEOPLE WILL BE FORCED TO FIND THE TRUE PATH. THE WHOLE RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY IS SUFFERING FROM A SEVERE HUNGER, and ONLY the GOD of NOW is His FOUNTAIN OF LIFE OF WATER, HAVING AN EVER-FLOWING FOUNTAIN PROVIDED FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF MAN, and PEOPLE WILL COME AND HOPE at His. ☀️🙏 That is the TIME that the WORKS of GOD will be REVEALED, and GOD will be GLORIFIED; ALL PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE will WORSHIP the BUSY--BIGHANING "man." 🙏 Will this not be the day of God's glory? One day, the ELDER SHEPHERDS WILL SEND TELEGRAMS LOOKING FOR WATER from the FOUNTAIN of LIVING WATER. They are OLD, but they will still GO to WORSHIP this MAN, whom they DENIED with their MOUTHS they will recognize and in their HEARTS they will TRUST---and is this not a sign and a wonder? ☀️ When the ENTIRE KINGDOM CELEBRATES, it is the DAY OF GOD'S GLORY, and whoever will COME NEAR you and RECEIVE the GOOD NEWS of GOD will be BLESSED by GOD, and these NATIONS and these PEOPLE will be BLESSED and CARED BY GOD . This is the approximate direction: Those who receive the WORDS of GOD from His MOUTH WILL HAVE A WAY TO WALK IN THE WORLD, and whether they are businessmen or scientists, or teachers or workers, those who DO NOT HAVE THE WORDS OF GOD will HARD even at the first step, and they WILL BE FORCED TO FIND THE TRUE PATH. ☀️ This is what it means, "WITH THE TRUTH YOU CAN REACH THE WHOLE WORLD; WITHOUT THE TRUTH YOU CAN REACH NOTHING." The truth is: GOD WILL USE THE WAY (which means all His words) to RULE THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE and RULE and CONQUER MANKIND. 💐🙏 People are always hoping for a big turnaround in God's ways. Simply put, THROUGH WORDS God controls PEOPLE, and you MUST DO what He SAYS whether you want to or not; it is a TRUE PURPOSE, and must be FOLLOWED by ALL, and therefore, also, it is unshakable, and known to all. The HOLY SPIRIT GIVES PEOPLE A FEELING. ☀️🙏 AFTER READING THE WORDS OF GOD, in their HEARTS they will be STRONGER, and PEACEFUL, while PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE WORDS OF GOD FEEL EMPTY. That is the POWER of the WORD of GOD----PEOPLE NEED TO READ it, AFTER they READ it they will be FILLED, and they CANNOT be WITHOUT it. It is LIKE when a MAN INHALES opium: It GIVES them STRENGTH, and without it they are desperate, and powerless. 🙏 That's how people will behave today. READING GOD'S WORDS GIVES PEOPLE STRENGTH. 🙏 If they do NOT READ it, they will be anxious, BUT AFTER they READ it, they will immediately RISE from where they are sitting. This is the MEANING of the KINGDOM of GOD ( the Word ) on EARTH. 💐🙏 There are some people who want to leave, or are tired of God's work. Regardless, they CANNOT TURN AWAY from the WORDS of GOD; NO MATTER HOW WEAK THEY ARE, THEY WILL STILL RELY ON THE WORDS OF GOD TO LIVE, and HOWEVER THEY REBEL, THEY DARE NOT LEAVE THE WORDS OF GOD. Noam Chomsky is just a gem in human history. It is so impressive and positive surprising to hear him speak accuratly and at point on various topics, even topics that are very sophisticated and difficult to grasp for most people, like AI. I hear and read dozens of comments on the danger of AI but none was so accurate as what Chomsky here. Especially as those danger is not something in the future but it already began a couple of years ago.

His points on Ukrainian war show pretty much no logic though. Russia's economy has been crying to get back within its borders. And Noam's even mentioning nukes 😂 Kids' fairytales. The real problem is plain HATRED TOWARDS RUSSIANS. Been there for too long. Americans REFUSE to communicate in, well, EVERY way like this level of hatred towards a nation is OK now. Who cares. Look at what's *really* happening in the US, it's not good, completely, at all.

Yes, and those threats certainly can't be named by anyone but Chomsky. You certainly can't develop any topics further,- you're as mum as the rest of the talkers.

More like an incredibly OUT OF TOUCH hypocrite! “Drugs are out of sight,” he can lie to himself but not the rest of us.. Is he unaware of the opioid epidemic here in America for the past decade? Do you know his position on Mao Tse-tung? Or his view of Fidel Castro and Che Guevera? Or his stand on the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia? And when he’s been proven wrong countless times, he’s never once admitted to it, when he’s been called out for citing false sources and making up fake claims to soupy his claims, he’s never admitted to it., not even when the facts are starring him in the face! That’s mental illness, not integrity. You should probably ask yourself these questions and be able to defend his hypocrisy before encouraging “the planet” to entertain this nonsense!!
