Victor Davis Hanson on Harvard's President, Claudine Gay
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Here I read the transcript, only edited slightly for clarity and concision, of Hoover/Stanford Senior Fellow, Victor Davis Hanson's analysis of Harvard's current president, Claudine Gay. Here is the link to that and the other Hanson podcasts: art19.com/shows/the-victor-da...

Thank you Marty. Harvard's policies have trashed the standing that took centuries to build in just a couple of decades.

It is not just Harvard's policies that have trashed standards. Standards in ALL educational institutions have been progressively lowered in order to accommodate one or two demographics that simply cannot keep up, cannot be expected to keep up and by lowering standards you will allow them to live with the illusion that they have reached the pinnacle of edgiemucashion! Take a look at the school districts in Baltimurder, and you will know exactly what I am talking about. Where students are 'gradumacated' with an astonishing 0.03% GPA. In California (although they will not admit this now) 70% of black students who have graduated read at the grade III level. See Dick run. See Jane laugh when Dick runs. See Spot biting Dick's ankle as he runs. The governor of Oregon has nearly scrapped all educational requirements for any kind of learning - to accommodate students of colour. And so on and so forth.

After exposing the shocking moral blindness of Claudine Gay, a lot of us are wondering about using Harvard Law graduates. That is the real damage she has done with her stubborn refusal to be held accountable.

Over in England, I was shocked at the responses from the presidents of such hallowed institutions seemingly unable to condemn antisemitism on campus. We had similar marches for a ceasefire in Gaza, with some calling for the death of Jews. I just can’t fathom how people can believe Hamas gives a fig about the Palestinians. Thank you for explaining about Claudine Gay; I’ve heard the same things from other sources.

If someone asked me if there is some "action" going on behind the scenes at Harvard, I would have to say "that's affirmative"!
Such revelations! All because of her race! Appalling details of her academic past. She should be more sensitive to race due to hers!
Much appreciated straight-talk. Confirms our perceptions, knowledge, experience. "Let's all hear it for, too often, diverse mediocrity."
You’ve hit the nail on the head
Show us a summary of the board that actually hired her and the answer will be even clearer than it already is.
Thank you, Marty Nemko. Immensely interesting and saddening. Am glad to be so old that I’ll not live to experience the repercussions of this “new academia.” But it leaves me furiously angry too, at the way Jewish people are being lied about. I have a close friend who is a partner in an enormous international law firm and is the lead attorney in the firm's office in one of America's largest cities. He has mentioned more than once that the law graduates he has hired from Harvard don't generate as much income for the firm as several other graduates at the same level of experience from less "prestigious" law schools.
@tbex613

But yet his firm keeps hiring from schools like Harvard. . . . All of the top law firms insist on ONLY recruiting from the "top" 10 schools and looking nowhere else, so they are complicit in this.

I really like Hanson. Hes a smart man
100% correct, and thank you for having the courage to say it: sadly, almost tragically, the courage is indeed required our days to say it
It is tremendously confusing to see people who have become successful and powerful, who have leaped over more qualified individuals, claim that there is systemic issues preventing them from succeeding. Harvard has been on a downward spiral for decades now, their degree is no different than a Prada bag, a fancy restaurant, or a luxury sports car: It's an expensive thing one can show off, but isn't really any good.
Common sense is uncommon. Thank you, Marty, for posting this. I have subscribed.

Dr. Gay did not earn her posts through academic merit. She is essentially another straw [wo]man and represents so much of what's gone wrong. I thank you for this broadcast.
Thank you for explaining the background facts behind this saga with such clarity. This is an excellent video. Unfortunately, I am left wondering how many other senior executives at Harvard are similarly under qualified for their current roles.
concise and informative!
Thank you. Very interesting.

Very impressive and poignant Marty Well said!
You and Victor nailed it!
The real tragedy here is the acceptance of such mediocrity in a leader in such an esteemed institution. Her agenda based decisions to pick and choose when the 1st amendment is relevant is egregious. Aren't there better qualified minority candidates whose work commands respect? The Harvard community is the willing victim of mediocrity, misplaced priorities, and DEI. What a tragedy for the students who thought they were getting an elite education.
Excellent video!
Thank you for his information
And this is where affirmative action has led us

Thank you for sharing this information with clarity. It’s courageous today to address these twisted stories and lies. The wrong people are getting into the top roles in our country.
Thank you. She’s been given every opportunity. She lacks objectivity and empathy and is not in the elite intellectually.
The end game for the DEI crowd seems to be Harrison Bergeron.
Marty....thanks for putting in words what others were afraid to whisper in private.
Good and brave man. I would like to hope that Harvard will recover, but like Yale and the rest, I think that it will take years to undo the damage that the woke koolaid has wrought to the schools I was once so proud to look up to.
thanks for speaking out, I remember you on the Ronnnn Owens show. Thank God Ronnnn's been silenced.
Nice work Marty
good man great share
Well summarized.
Thank you. I’ll listen to the podcast. I enjoy content from the Hoover Institute. Academia is in a terrible mess, and Gay is a symptom of the problem, not the entire problem. She needs to go (how does she not have the class or insight to resign?), but many more need to go, too, and the standards need to be hauled out of the gutter.

the universality of education meant that no school should be the focus of elites. Stanford, Harvard, Yale, et al. That's centralization of education and it shouldn't happen.
Thanks for your voice of truth and courage!
We are living Orwell’s 1984 story. The inmates are running the institution! Crazy is rewarded, hard work and achievements are racist!

That's why she's not sensitive to blackness as l know it.Many blacks her age, social economic and or cultural background have never experienced real racism. This woman is the child of elite immigrant blacks. She lived in Dubai. She is second generation college educated and may even speak a language other than English since she's Afro Caribbean. Unlike me,my mom was a domestic.l grew up in Jim Crow with stories of KKK and Till and parents who were before the Depression who never flew let alone lived in Dubai. My point is this woman is a privilege black,a poseur who wears the faces of blacks like me.
