    While also requiring a little more work, you can have turn alerts via Navigation on Coros watches also. Via plotaroute you can create routes of your run/hike and add waypoints along the route telling you to turn/go straight/etc. Currently use this method with my Apex and works wonderfully!!!

  • @DesFit

    @DesFit

    Yup, waypoints do help for sure but it definitely takes a bit more work up-front. It would just be nice for the watch to do it for you - hopefully that can come with an update in the future. Thanks Shawn!

    Great video, I was a long time customer of Polar for many years, I ditched the the Vantage V for a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro due to polars extremely poor support record. I absolutely love the Fenix and wish I’d switched years ago, Garmin continually push out updates in complete opposite to Polar who abandons if loyal customer base.

    Hi and thanks for the great video. I would like to ask you two pieces of information. As you said coros maps have less detail than Garmin? Does that mean they don't have open street map trails? For me this is essential because sometimes during the hike along the preloaded gpx path I want to make detours following alternative paths. Furthermore, on the coros it is possible to view the missing distance to the next waypoint and to the end of the track while navigating in the fields? For me this function is necessary, knowing the distance from a peak or from a refreshment point, in the race I find it essential to manage my forces. Thanks, Ivan

    Recently switched from a fenix 6 solar (which I loved) to a 6X sapphire as the 6X fits my arm better and I wanted the larger screen. I'm thinking that the GPS accuracy on the 6X is a bit better and picks up the location a little faster. Maybe a larger antenna? Battery life on the 6X is far greater. Also HR seems more accurate and BB and Pulse Ox also seem a little more responsive. These last 3 items are most likely due to the fact that the 6X fits me better and I can comfortably wear it tighter because of the wider 26mm band. I suspect this would vary with the individual.

    At-the-moment elevation will be based off the altimeter but ClimbPro will be based off the route that you load into the watch. Most times they align properly. Thanks!

    Sort of hard to do a price comparison since there’s numerous options when it comes to the Fenix but in general the Fenix models cost a bit more at full retail. That said, the Fenixes offer more features overall. The VERTIX 2 will have longer battery life though.

    Hey man, I want to buy a watch for triathlon and mountain running, there are so many options... I found 3 watches that I like Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Garmin Venu 2 Coros Pace 2 Should I buy one of these or there is a better watch? Or maybe I should wait for fenix 7? What do u think? PS. • @DesFit

    The Venu 2 doesn't have triathlon or multisport modes, so I think that one is out of the running, but the other two would be good options. If you have the money for the Fenix 6 Pro that's an extremely capable device but the Pace 2 gets the job done if you want to save some money. Thanks!
