I love my Garmin Instinct. It works, the battery life is insane, it's durable, and I've always loved the look of casio sport watches
Idk, I use to be an Apple Watch guy however my garmin forerunner is AMAZING. Especially the battery life. It’s unreal

I’m not the poster above but I run with the forerunner 55. I used to have a FR620 and it was enough for me. The 55 has more features and thus is all I need. Though I do want 955 for no legitimate reason.

I’m very pleased with my purchase of my Coros Vertix Adventure Watch. I used a Garmin for over ten years & made the switch to Coros. I’m glad I did as I went through many bands & killed my last Garmin. I’m rough on my watches, I guess! 😂
Have the original apex and its still going strong after almost 4 years, all i need is the pace/distance/time. Its been accurate and reliable for so many runs

I concur good watch. I excercise about 8-9 hrs a week. I need to charge once a week. I’ll probably use it sometime longer. Very toughas well. I got a scratch on the bezel and a small scratch on the glass after slipping on a nut on concrete. It works with Strava and there are frequent software updates with new functionality

What about the accuracy on gps and heart rate monitor ?
I will stick with Garmin. Currently rocking a Venue because I like the smart watch display paired with the running matrix. I am looking to upgrade to a Garmin model with the maps features, 955 or Fenix.
Tremendo video gracias, que molestia con la pantalla amoled que a cada momento debes estar haciendo ese gesto para ahorrar energia, me gusto mucho el Coros Apex
Helpful. Thanks
Key metrics on a run: total distance, total time, current pace, current heart rate. Garmin 245 user and pretty happy with it (paid for the music version but don’t actually use it)
Hi, does the coros pace 2 suggest runs for you? Thanks.
I still like my Garmin 235, best watch I have owned. Easy to use.
i´m happy with my Garmin Fenix 6, bought with an incredible discount of 60 % when the Fenix 7 was released....

great review as im thinking switch to coros from garmin
I can't find any reviews of the Coros and the features like the ECG. I noticed on the feature page it lists ECG but on the watch, I don't see where you put your finger. Can you confirm this feature on the Apex pro 2?
Love my Garmin Fenix 5 and nothing seen hear that would pull me away from Garmin. Only usually display pace and distance on a run unless i doing a session or navigating
I run to heart ❤️ rate zone when I'm in a training block, if I run with friend, I usually just show distance. Fenix 6 owner, brilliant watch, love it. 👍

Thanks info
Currently using a FR45 because I only use HR, pace and distance. But I would like some sort of navigation so I can run wherever I want. Anyone with tips for a decent(older) watch with routes or maps?
On my old COROS Apex it let me change the direction of the watch face so that I could wear the watch on my left wrist and flip the watch so the scroll wheel is facing up my arm instead of in between my wrist and hand! Hopefully they kept that option in the new Apex’s!

Looking to replace my Garmin 735XT which has been great but battery drain is now an issue.
That was a good review. It's interesting they have invested in the manual turn-wheel. I cannot imagine that working for anyone that wears their watch on their right wrist - like I and many other left-handed people do.
@ThaReaperD

you can turn te watch 180 degrees so you are able to have the scrollwheel on whatever side of the watch that you want. So it should also work for lefties. Its a simple setting of the watch thats available on all Coros watches.

Wait! I'm left handed and I wear my watch on my left hand. I'm going to try it on my right arm
I am not sure if multiband means connecting to more satellites. It has more to do with communicating with satellites over multiple frequency bands to get a more reliable data.
how to enable spo2 while sleeping?? is coros consider to update this one also?
I like the concept of effort pace, but at the moment it is just grade adjusted pace, so nothing new here. One thing to note about the maps is that it is not real navigation, just a bread crumb trail overlayed on a map with no knowledge of the underlying roads and trails (hence why it can’t give turn by turn directions). But materials on this watch are very good at this price point, with Titanium and Sapphire glass.
Looks nice but not enough to swap my Trusty Garmin 235
I am looking for a new watch so this is very helpful

I can imagine accuracy is a must have for a Timelord
I don't understand why Garmin doesn't slap some better design into its UI which looks from the dinasour era_ especially the web platform
New Coros Apex 2 Pro or old Garmin Fenix 6x Pro Sapphire?
As a Garmin user, I see myself always "looking" for another brand with different design like Polar, Coros or even Amazfit. But at the end, I stick with Garmin becoz of its ecosystem and how it analyzie statistics.

Amazfit has an outstanding product now in the TREX2 and I imagine the Falcon as well.
can these watches be used without a smartphone?
When I recently upgraded watches, I really wanted to switch to coros because of the crazy battery life... but I can't get over the lack of a live tracking feature like Garmin has. It gives me such a better feeling of safety knowing that I can have people (ie my husband) know where I am on a run (of course as long as I have cell coverage) in case something happens. I went with a Garmin Fenix 6s and I love it

I just recently discovered that feature. Thank you Running Channel for the video on that.
People criticise Garmins for having chunky buttons but to me it's a strength. I want things that are durable while I'm moving and with a flywheel I'll just break it then I can't access anything

Yes if you plan on running regular the added accuracy is well worth it, there are plenty of decent cheap options around
As a current (generally satisfied) Coros user (Apex 46), I've actually started thinking of switching to Garmin in the future. The Apex 2 Pro seems a bit of a let-down to me, considering the announced price. At this point Fenix 7 isn't that far off, especially when I take into account all the bells and whistles the Fenix has, that Apex 2 Pro doesn't (yes, talking mainly about you, real maps :)). Guess I'd miss the scroll wheel though...
Really disappointed with the Garmin ecosystem. I just got my Garmin forerunner 955 and HRM-pro ab 1.5 months ago. Seriously people have been asking for YEARS on their forums to fix the calendar app. Also their is literally 0 customer support. I have submitted emails and forum posts etc etc and I have never heard back once. You can do some stuff on the watch, some stuff on the phone and some stuff on the web app but you can’t do everything in any one of these. An example: you want to view the daily suggested workouts? Use the watch, not available on the other two. Want reports, use the web not available on the first 2. Add to this that their recent updates have made the system worse and it’s really sad.
Thinking about getting a forerunner and I'm not so sure which one to get! Any suggestions? (I'm fairly new to running consistently ~2month, and I'm considering the 55, 245, and 255) Thanks all!

I have a 945 and love the long battery life not needing to charge it at night helps gathering useful health data. Cheaper versions are probably more than adequate for the average runner (I consider myself below average 😆) and maybe newer models also have long battery life.

I have the 245 and love it. I guess it depends on how often you intend to run, what else you intend to use your watch for and watch your budget is. The 55 is great watch but if your budget allows, the 245 comes with a few more bells and whistles!

Don't let navigation be a deciding factor on the watch. You can get turn by turn navigation on a FR55/245 with apps from the Garmin Connect IQ store. A FR55 will already give you a lot of information to start out with if you've never trained with GPS/HR before and is usually enough for a beginner. At this point in time the FR245 is not worth it unless you can get it at close to the same pricepoint as the FR55. With the FR255 you'll be future proofing yourself more, but you will also have to spend double the amount.
Effort pace is just the old Adjusted Pace, which is just Coros's way of saying, we want our own name for the market-wide accepted term and protocol for Grade Adjusted Pace. It is literally exactly identical at the moment, they just say that they are going to include more variables in the future, whenever that may be. Also a very important thing that isn't mentioned in this video: Coros watches and Coros Pods are only compatible with other Coros products and Garmin or Polar products can't be paired with Coros products. Which is really annoying.

Not entirely true, I use a Garmin heart rate strap and it works flawlessly with the COROS Vertix
I'll stick to my trusted fenix 5, almost bullet proof and with no real need for full maps there's not a compelling reason to upgrade
I had the pace 2 and i ended up swapping back to garmin. I definitely preferred the buttons and it just felt cheap to me. I do definitely think coros are one to watch though. They are sponsoring more and more athletes and i do think they could be as big as garmin one day

Hi!
Does this allow for adding waypoints or do you have to pre-load your exact plan for going on this one (e.g. "breadcrumbs" like Coros 3)? I just want a GPS watch that literally functions as a GPS without needing my phone on me. :P
Coros should do away with the scroll wheel..
I’ll stick with my Enduro 2. Day and night better.
so slow information man first 2minute nothing is being said only 100 times repeat the same stuff about the scroll wheel pfffff
Nope nope nope nope nope that rotating wheel is a deal breaker. Also i have tiny wrists, so for me, it's Garmin Fenix 7S Sapphire Solar and it's absolutely perfect 😊
Still running without a watch bc I just can decide which one to get 😂🥲 love the Apple Watch Ultra, but it lacks so much sport features whereas it’s the opposite with Garmin and smart features… damn it!
