COROS APEX 2 vs APEX 2 PRO vs APEX PRO | Better than Garmin? | Run4Adventure

So, which brand of GPS running watch is better, is it Garmin or Coros? Will we ever be able to answer that question and put the long running debate to bed, I'm not sure we ever will! However, I do know one thing, I've used a Coros Apex Pro for over a year now and it's been a great experience. So when I heard they were bringing out an update, the Apex Pro 2, I had to try and get hold of a unit and test it out. The guys at Coros were kind enough to also send out the Apex Pro's little brother, the Apex 2 to review as well. I've be testing out both watches for about a month now and here are my thoughts.
Thanks for watching, we'll see you in the next video and as always - stay safe and keep on running!

Phew!! Wasn’t going to look at this video as Deb took the plunge on a pair of Apex Pro 2’s literally 5 hours before the video came out! Based on your review seems like it was a good choice. As long time Garmin users (15+ years) it’s going to be interesting to see the difference. Once again nice video Loyd.

Looks good Loyd. I went through a similar thought process last year. Ended up with a 1st gen Garmin Enduro on sale for £359. Decided I could live without topo maps and music but the battery life is insane, over 80 hrs GPS. Literally 2 days later, the Enduro came out for, wait for it, £929! 😱 Doesn't matter, these days I need a sun dial and calendar 🤣

A few years ago I switched from Suunto to Coros and have no plans on switching away from Coros. My Coros Apex has a longer battery life, slimmer design, and more features than my Suunto (I forget which model I hade, but it was a few years older), and cost less money. Those were enough reasons for me.

COROS watches are awesome. I had a garmin 945 and the battery wasn’t holding up. In came my COROS apex. Had it for nearly 2 years and loved it. However COROS recalled the watch. (mine was fine) they sent me a replacement apex pro with a fresh 2 year warranty. They definitely take care of their customers!

Great video 👍 I recommend coros to people who ask me about gps watches. I had a fenix 6 for a long time and it did everything I needed, I recently upgraded to enduro2 only for the battery life. Corus is a great watch and if budget is important it beats garmin, but if you run 100 milers and are ok with dropping a grand on a watch the enduro2 is better imo.

Happy with my 1st gen Garmin Enduro, all the new bells and whistles, maps I never used on my Fenix 6 pro, as I much prefer my iPhone mini for navigation, and a charged mobile is mandatory part of kit now for Ultra races.

Main feature updates from Apex to Apex 2 are topo and landscape mapping, all gps systems on mode, new HR sensor, and touchscreen. There are also some software updates that had been phased out on original Apex. Battery life is pretty similar considering the additional satellite mode. I actually get less longevity per charge than I did with my original Apex. FYI I am talking about Apex model not Apex Pro here.

The Pace 2 is a lot more basic when it comes to the features on the watch. It really depends on what your going to use the watch for? If you want navigation, maps and a long battery life I'd go for the Apex 2 or Apex Pro. If you don't need any of that the Pace 2 is still a great watch. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏😊

I do not think you can easily compare Garmin and Coros, both are very good and both have their strong and weak points.
