Try 3, RW, LB, RWB. Don’t know what else the bloke is supposed to do. Playing with 2 donkeys in walker and Kane that he’s meant to link up with and had 7 different RCM’s across 4 games. Bellingham stunk the place out but got the goal so everyone will overlook is actual performance.

Kane and Jude getting the headlines, but Toney was the real game changer!! He dragged the defenders out and created the space for Jude to score, then won the free kick which resulted in his assist for the winner. Underrated player!

Foden needs to go, he can’t influence a game with the role he has for England. I thought Eze looked a lot more of a natural fit. Palmer/Saka is anyone’s pick but I don’t think it’s going to be a game changer. England’s problems aren’t really about individuals it’s simply a lack of tactical nous and cohesion amongst this group. This is down to the coach who doesn’t really understand how to produce the kind of football these players are clearly capable of playing based on their club performances.

It's an absolute crime not to bring in the substitutes when the team is getting butchered left, right and center. Southgate is a fckin clown.

What is with this media love in for Palmer? Hasn't even been that good when he's come on. Drifts inside and loses the ball too much. England desperately need natural width. If you want to drop Saka, surely Bowen is the answer.

I thought Eze and Palmer were average. i would give Gordon and Bowen a go ahead of them. Foden and Saka should start on the bench.

Gabby is spoton about Southgate. Hea been the same since the 2018 semi against Croatia. He is far too slow to change things when its clear it's required.

I must be dreaming or having a nightmare I agree with Gabby 100% Southgate is clueless with subs and who should start games. He can't see what every England fan can see isn't working.

The Elephant in the room is Foden and Southgate. We are lobsided attacking and defensively. The Spanish wingers attack from wide positions. England are about to keep Foden on the left wing and move Saka who is an actual winger for Palmer who is a central type player and leave other wingers who actually operate on the left on the bench to accommodate Foden who's never played well in an England shirt anywhere and not considering that Foden not fitting has caused all the other players to perform out of character. Foden doesn't attack or defend and should be doing what William's is doing. Eze and Gordon could bring the spirit of GAZZA or even Rooney on that side or make their own positive history. Very sad from Southgate and negative. He was a breath of fresh air but is smelly now. But currently teams just overload Saka and scare off Foden. They literally don't have to worry about any threat from our left. What do you think that will do to our team. Attack is the best form of defence. Its madness from Southgate. We could go out not knowing the potential of Gordon or Eze despite Foden flopping on every occasion and everyone else getting blamed for it.

Arguably the best player in the premier league last season and he's the one player, other than Trippier, who's been played completely out of position. Shocking mismanagement the way he's been used. Saka has played in a comfort zone for years. He's not entitled to the place, he should earn it in competition with Foden and Palmer. Foden/Palmer/Bellingham should be in competition for the 10. It should be on merit. Biggest problem in my opinion, the actual elephant in the room, is Bellingham's ill-defined position. He isn't good enough for the influence he has on Southgate's selection and the way the team plays.

Saka’s stats are quite good, in contrast to Foden’s.

It's getting to the stage where people need to intervene, like if a president loses his mind and can't function anymore, someone should step in and take over.

Ancelotti is one of rhe most successful managers of all time and clearly knows what he's doing. Southgate is a tactically inept coward who has won nothing, and progressed through tournaments by having a talented group of players, and unbelievably lucky draws!

Southgate knows best and will continue to do things his way, the FA are the ones whom appointed this clueless and gutless person, if the FA keep Southgate then they should be investigated for fraud, we won in the end but it’s bloody painful to watch those atrocious performances game after game, punters will put their money on England being beaten in the next match.

Palmer was rubbish when he came on did nothing

Saka was poor yesterday. He's been one of England's better players over the last three years, he's performed better than most of the starters this tournament. If Southgate would rather give Palmer a start against Switzerland maybe it would freshen things up but I think we might still get more out of keeping Saka and having him collaborate with Walker more down that right side. Rare that you see Walker support Saka down the right the way Ben White does. Foden, however, has never earned his place in this England team. Strictly in terms of his England performances, there is no reason at all for him to start over Rashford, Grealish or Sterling. England simply do not accommodate his style of play and there is no room for him anywhere else on the pitch aside from the left. It is definitely time to give Gordan a go down that left flank. I'd even let Watkins use his pace and his physicality down that wing over having Foden vacate the left wing and leave the team with no with or service from half of the pitch.

I have been saying to people for ages that I don't like Bellingham, I watch all the Madrid games and I watch him carefully, he is a horrible player/person, he is like Rice he knows where the cameras are all the time, BUT my biggest hate of Bellingham is that he is a CHEAT, you watch the amount of times he dives and also when he does it in Laliga he is always trying to get players yellow carded - I predict he is the next Beckham and Rooney as in he is going to have that moment of petulance, that gets him sent off. In yesterdays game he could have had a second yellow for the dive in the box, but its coming, and what's with all this Godfather style holding of the cheeks of much older players, Bellingham has an Ego that is not a nice trait and he will definitely split the fan base. The players yesterday should have just walked off the pitch at the end, instead of bouncing up and down

The problem is England leftwing is not functioning and Foden with Kane were congested the number 10 position, this kind of movement is easier to defense. When you hold up the ball you need a runner and player making movement on leftwing or rightwing but leftwing was practicall empty and Slovakia's rightback was the happiest player on the pitch because he didn't have to worry and can go forward to support his team attack. Slovakia's goal was sourced from him and he has 2 great chances inside England box unmarked. Foden should be closing down the opposition rightback but he is too busy on walking in the 10 position. Just look back at Denmark goal against England, it was the same and it was sourced from England left side position.

Mental how saka is always to blame no matter how many play worse than him Palmer finally gets a chance at rw and stinks up so bad saka gets pulled back to the right. Foden done nothing ever for England and ruins the balance. Walker been diabolical. Mainoo not great. Kane a ghost. But yeah let's take off saka because he cant do it all while tired with zero support around him lol

I'm saying it's weird that arsenal players get a disproportionate amount of focus by the media when there were worse performers AND better ways to sort out the team balance. Everyone with half a brain knows saka is one of the first names on the teamsheet as he's the only actual winger doing the job of a winger. Palmer got tried on the right and we found out real quick it doesn't work and saka got put back there. I'm not saying it because he's an arsenal player and I have to defend him no matter what. I'm saying it because it's common sense. Same way I would say Gordon should be starting over foden because he actually does the job of a winger and fixes the squad balance. Nothing to do with club allegiance, except that as an arsenal fan I'm a bit tired of saka being disrespected by the idea that when he's literally been voted Englands best player for 2 years running but because the squad balance is screwed we should drop him immediately to force in players who aren't performing and a even worse squad balance.

@JoshAFC I've been an Arsenal fan since 1972. This kid is the most overrated winger I've seen play for the club. He can't even cross a ball with his right foot, which is why he constantly checks back onto his left foot. The last game of the we played Everton, Saka didn't want to play si Martinelli played on the right and that kid was different class compared to sakas performances. You're kidding yourself if you couldn't see that. Check out all of Sakas goals and assists last season. Not exactly world class, as most deluded Arsenal fans like to call him.

Saka at leftback, Gordon at leftwing and Palmer at rightwing. If Kane realize he is no longer quick enough to play fast tempo game then play Toney. Too much ego in England old big name players who care more on his individual record than sacrifice in the bench so the team can win and have the balance.
