He happens to be manager with a crop of players that's better than most of its competition and on top of that, he gets the luck of the draw in every tournament. Neither of those things are down to him and the managerial acumen he showed so far absolutly abysmal! The only credit he deserves is enough man management to get his players pulling through for him, but a good manager would easily avoid those nail biting situations in the first place...

We've been lucky the way this tournament has panned out has f*ck all to do with Southgate

Tight games we can accept. It’s the shots on target being 0 unless the other teams scores

I watched the game from Austin Texas and I was bemused by the amount of useless going nowhere passes, many times in the wrong direction, like a passing drill in a practice session. We had wingers wide open watching multiple 10-15-20 foot passes in the midfield. Bizarre.

Even in a great moment where England gets to the Final then you still get England fans want to put the boot in on Southgate - A real case of over expectation and entitlement where fans fail to see the challenge of how tough these tournaments really are - I've been impressed by how well teams like Slovenia, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland, Turkey, Romania, Georgia have played - There's no easy pushovers anymore as these teams are well organised - The expectation England can beat these sides 3-0 is no longer realistic - What I can see from my perspective is the England players are totally behind Southgate - The calls to sack him and get that all conquering global super manger in are somewhat delusional.
