Slovakia manager must be fuming. I saw him urging his players forward in the second half when they started to defend their one-nil, allowing England into the game. To lose it 1 minute from the end is infuriating. That means England goes on - and so does Southgate.

Let's be clear, this wasn't some end to end game where we were giving everything but our opponents were matching it and we stole it at the end. This was a horrendous performance were we got insanely lucky, our first shot on target was in the 95th minute for gods sake... and this is against Slovakia!

Southgate is far too arrogant to listen to others. The football pundits said it at halftime that change should happen at the start of second half. And it didn’t happen, but everyone else could see and the bench could not see what’s going on in front of the bench. There was far too much messing around in the back four. On top of that, they kept slowing the pace of the game down which allowed the opposition to run at them time and time again.

The 30 seconds he gave Tony in normal time was spineless.

When Manchester United won this year’s FA Cup they played a total of 6 games all in one season. If England get to the final of the Euros they will have played a total of 15 games but 8 of those would have been in the qualifying rounds where they won 6 and 2 games ended in draws. At these finals they will be required to play 7 games in order to reach the final, one more than the FA Cup, but obviously over a shorter period of time. So far they have played 4 games and have drawn 2 and lost 2. Englands total record for the whole European Competition is Won 8 Drawn 4 and it will be impossible to ‘draw’ any further games. As I see it Southgate must have known that he was only 7 games away from the final yet his tactics have seriously flattered to deceive what has been for quite some time an unimpressed England performance taken over all the games. England is the only team left in the finals from what was an underwhelming qualifying group (Italy and Ukraine gone) and given the quality of the players they should be in this current position but getting there should have been a lot more convincing. Football fans are I believe a lot more savvy as to how teams should be set up especially with all the available statistics on each player and thousands if not millions are unhappy with Southgate’s choices. I’m obviously not English but it’s clear playing Bellingham and Foden together is a mistake and appeases 2 players but not the fans. Everyone seems to know the most logical team so why does Southgate not see this and why can his staff of players not suggest what the whole country sees?

I agree that Southgate is totally inept at this tournament and is at fault for the vast majority of issues the team has. I think it's harsh singling out individual players when most of the starting line up have been bang average at best.

Put a Sunday league pub team in the place of the England no hopers. Even drunk and staggering around they would run rings around any England team. Kane is like Beckham a headless chicken

Come on, look at the bigger picture. England have been atrocious. It's their overall performance and attitude of the team that I'm on about. Scapegate is somewhat responsible, but I saw no unity from that team. 11 individuals playing their own game, instead of a tight unit playing for each other.
