Booker is the exception to the rule, and only because he made a complete clown of himself in that role. Not many people could pull that off in a similar fashion. R-Truth is about the only other guy I could see pulling off that gimmick.

I think 'King Gunther' would work really well. He doesn't have to go full King Booker with it but he could have his own unique crown and gear and still be the same character that works so well already.

I love how everyone was pissed about Ilja losing. Let’s think about this, Jey Uso was about to beat Gunther clean before Jimmy got involved. He was going to beat Roman even after interference from Solo before Jimmy got involved. I think the only person he lost to clean was to Seth which made sense because they were building that Title.

@pjleon8391 I started watching wrestling in 2007, when I was 11 years old. I am 27, and there are people on the active roster younger than I am. Feels strange. Part of that was watching Lillian Garcia on Smackdown and PPV.

@@joelbrown2782 I was fortunate to have been a kid during the attitude Era, I've seen Lillian announce on RAWisWAR,RAW,Monday Night Raw, Sunday Night Heat, Smackdown! etc. she's a legend & seeing her return & give Samantha Irvin recognition was incredible.

Honestly, I just hope they handle Damien's title run well. He's got a great look, he's a great worker, and he definitely has the talent to carry the belt. Drew is exactly the kind of guy who can elevate a dude like Priest. Please, for the love of the gods, just do this right, WWE.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of Booker T that worked a good king gimmick after winning the tournament 😂

I also prefer more rounds happen on the PPV/PLE if not the quarter than the semis at least i know having both of tourneys on the same night cramps up the card but we could have stretched the title matches to money in the bank but PLE’s with no title defenses also look sparse i also kind of wish there was a few more rounds to the tournament but despite the card changes it’s been pretty cool. I just hope they didn’t telegraph the winners by the first two draft picks makes it seem more like an excuse to validate those picks rather than just being first round picks being enough of an accolade, there are other ways to do this and to me this tourney should be more about highlighting and showcasing the sleeper picks and latter draft round picks.

I also feel like the king/queen gimmick should just be treated like another accolade like having a Rumble Win, if not for the future title shot then just the accomplishment of it, and when people take up the gimmick it should be more of it going to the persons head then anything else and then others buy in or rebuke the behavior. While more rounds actually happening at the PLE would be nice, not forcing the wrestlers to do two or three matches in a night is better for their health and probably better for quality of the matches.
