Bret Hart is my favorite wrestler. With that being said, he said that "nothing WCW did in 1997 could compare" to his angles in 1997: I respectfully disagree. Sting's evolution as the crow is the best story arch WCW ever did, and arguably the best in the business, period. I'd hate to use the over used u-word, but Bret's 1997 work is underrated, but the crow evolution was in a class by itself.

God forbid a WCW talent was more popular/ over than a WWE wrestler. Sting knew VINCE WOULD NEVER GIVE HIM A FAR SHAKE. THAT WHY HE DID NOT SIGN AFTER VKM PURCHASED WCW. AND WHEN HE DID SIGN WITH THE COMPANY....MANY YEARS LATER THEY SCREWED HIM....JUST LIKE HE KNEW THEY WOULD. SHOULD OF STUCK WITH HIS GUT FEELING. STING WILL FOREVER BE WCW. BAD MANAGEMENT & STUPID CONTRACTS, & HORRIBLE STORYLINES. DOOMED THE COMPANY. STEVE BORDEN AKA STING. WILL BE FOREVER LOVED BY MILLIONS THAT WATCHED HIM.

In all honesty, Sting would probably have died if he went to wwe in 2001. He was addicted to pain killers. He talks about this publicly, and stated that the time off saved his life.

Honestly, I never wanted to see Sting bs 'Taker. I wanted to see Sting and 'Taker vs everyone else. Kane was great, but Sting was perfect to be 'Taker's in-ring other half. Their styles would have been perfectly complimentary, and Sting's faster pace and technical move set would have been the perfect balance to 'Taker's slower, more power based arsenal. Had they paired, and added Kane as a thord, they would have had the makings of an absolutely bonkers faction/stable.

But his reaction was great, he got up immediately and grabbed Ric by the throat (he said he'd kill him if he DID just betray him) and gets attacked by Arn and Pillman, and the three-on-one commences; they had Sting giving Ric the benefit of the doubt (due to his upstanding character) yet did not make him act surprised, and as a result he came across as a hero, not an idiot. Flair still needed Arn and Brian to protect him, and this was one of the endless betrayals that eventually created the impetus for the Crow gimmick a year later...

Sting wasn't the first choice for the lead role in Shutterspeed. The film went through a rough development over a few years. The original plot depicted the main protagonist meeting and falling for a woman named Betsy. They started dating right away and slept together. But the morning after, the protagonist was alone and went to Betsy's place to see her, only to be met by an old woman, who told him Betsy had been dead for 10 years. So he went on a journey to track her down and solve this mystery. Long before Sting got the lead role in Shutterspeed, Italian-American Actor Joey Tribbiani was cast as the main protagonist. But the money wasn't coming in, and by the time Tribbiani showed up on set, production had to close down, and he was left in the Las Vegas Desert.

Much respect to Sting for being loyal to WCW. HOWEVER... By 1999, he'd pretty much done all he could do in the company. Not to mention how Bischoff either allowed Hogan, or collaborated with Hogan to sabotage the 1997 Starrcade main event. He had EVERY right to go to WWF once he was legally able to do so. I would've creamed my 14-year old pants if he'd feuded with the late 1999 heel DX. The fact that he could've printed money if he'd had a program with ministry/satanic Undertaker goes without saying.

We can sum up Sting's WWE tenure in one phrase: Vince was a petty bitch. Given how he turned the product around, I'm pretty damn confident that if Hunter had been charge back then, Sting would've been treated a helluva lot better. Sting was supposed to win Clash of Champions to make up for Wrestlemania but after the neck injury, Seth had to take the win. dun know about anyone else but Sting's a lot more forgiving and nonchalant about his WWE run than the rest of us, TBH. Darby Allin's my favorite of Sting's tag partners. Those two made magic and you can thank Darby for getting Sting into the ring on camera because he knew Sting could still go in front of a live audience at a time when they weren't sure if he could.

There are channels on KZread that have over a million viewers and not once did they ask anyone to like, comment, or subscribe, let alone interrupt their presentation to remind us to do those things. It's 2024. We know how KZread works. Give it a break once in a while and ask yourselves why this video has over 4000 views with only 345 likes.

The Young Bucks are one of the best tag teams in the world right now, yes being able to hang with them in the ring at Stings age is an accomplishment.

@@Miguel-mp7uzYes they are. Your not an authority on wreslting. And talking that big when you don't have an athletic bone in your body is hilarious. It's an accomplishment to be in the ring with people half your age and doing well whether you like it or not. Take your hate. Ball it up. Sit in the corner. Then fucking cope with the fact your a tribal douche.

Sting is the only reason why I got into wrestling period Especially his Crow persona Taking on an empire of evil all by himself definitely drew me in and I've been following him ever since 🖤🪦💀🦂
