Intersection Curves are AMAZING. I didn't know I needed these until now. Amazing Content.
Lars, thank you for all your videos. This one has to be the very best for making moulds of curvy 3D parts!
Hi Lars, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I always learn so much from you. You are without a doubt the master teacher, guide, and expert, the Guru of Fusion 360!!! Please keep creating these excellent, instructive, interesting and friendly tutorial videos. Thanks again, Bob
Back to the old days, that's more like it Lars. That was very useful thanks.

Thank you so much for your tutorial about project/include function and with interesting examples. As many of the Fusion 360 functions, these ones are also major. Thanks again, Philippe.
Great as always, really learning and enjoying, and wondering how lucky we are to live at a time that such a man like you exist. :)

Thanks Lars for that really helpful video. Darn, I have been using the project function for month now. And struggled some times, were Intersect a plan would have been my answer. You have added 4 new tools to my toolbox. Good video as usual. So glad you are back
Cheers, the last couple very useful for working with double curves!
I think is the first video on youtube (so far which I observed), with no dislike over 1000 watches. That shows the quality of work, congrats.

For me, this remains one of your most powerful lessons. I keep coming back to it again and again as I get better with Fusion. One thing that either I missed or you did not include converting a mesh selection to a sketch. I did the cut on an imported STL, got the mesh selection, but could not export the sketch as dxf. What I missed was Fit Curves to Mesh Selection with the closed spline options. BAM, I have a sketch to extrude, export, what ever.
Very useful. Thanks Lars
Thank you for the explanation and your time all the best.
so clear! very helpful, thank you Lars!
Yes Lar this the better way to do your video and easer on you. keep up the good work bud.

Excellent! I love the last example. Much easier than moving splines manually in 3D space heh

Is the Project tool a default tool when sketching? I'm getting the Project icons applied to my sketches when I don't expect them. Thanks.
Does the project to surface work for creating holes in a curved surface?
I thought, the last comand requires two intersecting surfaces. Good to know that it works also with two curves.
Great video Lars. I am having trouble adding text on a round surface. I have to line up each letter and there has to be an easier way.

Sadly that is most likely what you have to do. The CAD in Fusion is based on mechanical CAD, not known for lettering details I’m afraid
G'day Lars I am following your tutorial on the project tool, my free copy of Fusion 360 doesn't have it. When I click on sketch it is not at the bottom like yours. Many thanks, Karl.
Good lecture

Great video Lars! Thank you! One question I would have, would be about the last example; Is there a way to make a face that's bridging between one edge to another? (Something like Loft function)

@@cadcamstuff Thank you! Not sure if what I'm thinking about is possible to do, but I'm coming to Fusion 360 from 3Ds Max so it's quite different. But still, your videos help a lot and I learnt so much and fast from them! Great work :)
Connect the dots script needs to standard in fusion. I use project allot but the non connected segments drives me nuts
may I say you are doing a wonderful job. now I buy a cnc router and the first thing I need is a waste board with cut t slot and then planning but can I find it . it may be simple to you but its not to me. thanks malcolm

How do you make the pink line to blue then black or just to black? or can you

Have you looked at the 2D profile cutter path? That was created with the intent to support laser, Waterjet and plasma.
Hi Lars.
Hey... I cannot project my curve because fusion gives error like: Warning: Not support projecting sketch geometry into same sketch, please change the target sketch or geometry. Can u help me?
@austinshaner
3 жыл бұрын
That's because you cannot project a line drawn in the same sketch. In order to project a line, it must be from a different sketch. Simply close the sketch your on, start a new one, and project the curve.

Actually, I just figured it out... you need to go into the sketch with the projected geomtery, right click, then select BREAK LINK.... you will then be able to modify the geometry
Please slow down
This video is very useful, I use project constantly and this is very helpful. By the way you're the reason I have successful business. You are the reason also I purchased license for Fusion 360. With your help I taught myself all the manufacturing processes I need to create our successful business and machines. Can't thank you enough. Danny 3dpotter. Com
