    When a champion is defeated the new champ is presented that belt temporarily in the ring, but afterwards the belt is returned to the former champ & the new champ is eventually issued a brand new belt.

    Great to hear your comments about Tszyu and his behaviour after the fight. He does indeed epitomise what it means to be a champion sportsman. Here in Australia when I was growing up this attitude to competition was the standard. Everyone who took part in sports as a child was taught that if you give absolutely every single fibre of your being, every bit of guts you have to give in the sporting arena, never give up in the face off adversity and imminent loss and be brave, that's what a champion is. When you lose knowing that you have indeed given your absolute all and were bested, then the better man won and you should be humble and congratulate your opponent knowing he beat you fair and square. But you know deep down that just maybe next time, with hard work, determination and will that you may be the better man on the next occasion.

    Tszyu's needs to fire his corner. They've taken him as far as they have the experience to take him. If tsyzu is going to be fighting in the US he should have an elite American coach (& cutman) - someone like Robert Garcia or Virgil Hunter

  • @joeblough261

    @joeblough261

    Ай бұрын

    Virgil Hunter is a way overrated coach IMO. His claim to fame was Andre Ward, and even Andre wanted to smack him in that 1st Kovalev fight. The way he told Andre to fight vs. The hardest p4p puncher in boxing at the time, when he never fought as an amateur or pro in his life seemed flat out ignorant and disrespectful. I like Garcia though, and I agree w/you that TZ needs an elite guy. That said, he was looking sharp and dominant until after the cut, so aside from cutman, hard to blame his corner (other than they should've stopped the damn fight)

    What are you on? You’re blaming his corner for that? Before the cut fundora couldn’t do anything and tsyzu was dominating him. He only lost bc of thee cut. No cut man in the world can stop a cut like that on the scalp. It will always bleed and stay open. The ref and doctor should have stopped it before round 5 but pbc is corrupt. They know exactly what they did. They don’t like tsyzu and they made sure he fought most of the fight not being able to see. Then they show their hand by hyping a Spence fundora fight bc they want to give their golden boy more belts so they can milk the money cow some more. Shameful

    Despite the blood in his eyes on Compubox Tszyu outlanded Fundora in 7 out of 12 rounds. Also if one of the judges had scored the last round for Tszyu the fight was a draw. If you watch the first two rounds Tzsyu was dominating Fundora, it wasn't even close. Tszyu was landing big shots (broke Fundora's nose) and Fundora wasn't landing any jabs. Tszyu's team should have ended the fight after the 3rd round when it was clear he was badly compromised by the cut on his head. Live and learn. If/when they play it back Tszyu wins by KO.

Fundora made the right adjustments and with more fights and experience can craft a more efficient style for that kind of range. also about if that much blood lost could have compromised Tszyu being drowsy making him slow to recover and no gain. then there is his corner and a new game plan to actually put it all on the line after that second round and gassing more to go out with heart but is what it is. still need to watch the fight but do yous think there should be a rematch or Tszyu take on Spence or bud?. would be good to get some thoughts on Tyson vs Paul. great listen as always

    Like I said before the fight, Haymon set Tszyu up to fail. The cut just made it easier, and like Jim Lampley said afterward, "Fundora's know to be a dirty fighter." No doubt in my mind that Thurman was always gonna pull out last minute, and Fundora was training for Tszyu months ago. Throwing those elbows was probably part of the training. Just like Mayweather used to do.

    Lmao , Lampley was full of 💩. The elbow was not intentional. Also fundora boxed his ass off. If you were watching the fight you would see how everything was in favor for tszyu. The commentary, the score cards ( fundora should have been ahead by at least 4 rounds and one judge had it for tszyu). Finally the copubox was very inaccurate. Tszyu was out punched by a significant margin but if you just look at the “stats” it would say otherwise !

    This may sound crazy but once the blood became so overwhelming he looked into Tszyu eyes and saw that he was compromised and instead of the killer instinct, the human instinct kicked in and Tszyu understood this as well but as gentlemen of the sport they kept fighting but with a mutual understanding that this was an accident and either of them took full advantage of said conditions which is why they displayed so much respect for each other after the fight. They know they have to run it back.

    You're right guys about judges affecting boxers lives for good or bad. If Ken comes home 1st in a race he's won but in Boxing you can come 1st i-e - outbox and outfight a guy and the judges can take all your glory away.

    Without the cut, Tszyu may have stopped Fundora. That was a BIG cut at the hairline, and bled right in to both eyes. He literally couldnt see half the time and still cut Fundoras mouth up and probably broke his nose. Shame on the cut. It was a pure accident of movement, and not a spot the ref can call no contest on. Rolly, I had NO IDEA he had no amateur boxing background at all. To get as far as he did was phenomenal. But I think unless he gets a better corner and drills the basics HARD for a year minimum, he will have gone as far as he can go. Two championship belts by 18 fights in and having tried to fight some of the best in the world isnt a small thing. But hes sloppy and needs to clean that up if he comes back. One year minimum drilling, drilling drilling, and have him fight a few guys more his level to ease back in. Surprised with Cruz too. He was known to be a walking buzzsaw without a lot of teeth at 130-135. He had a lot more pop at 140 and given his style and how well he took hits, hes a SERIOUS threat to anyone there now.

    Like Teddy said ROLLY DIDNT EARN BELT IN EITHER ONE OF THOSE FIGHTS HE LOST BOTH TIMES BAD AND WAS GIVEN THE BELTS LIKE A GIFT Rolly and Ryan are both FAKE and get beat everytime against top guys and Tszyu corner lost that fight for him they could have stopped fight and he would still have his belt maybe 2 if they stopped it after 4 rounds and he was winning

    @@billnoel1895 yah....yah cant argue any of that lol. You CHECK the boxes that he got those belts. But Teddy is right. Its HOW he got them. He got carried heavily and when it came time to really test himself, couldnt do it. Given how much more dense and full Cruz looks at 140, and now how much harder he hits, I wouldnt mind seeing him fight Tank at 140 again.

I was listening to him a little bit and I did hear him after the fight defend Rolly for his funny entertainment value, and admonish people for not knowing boxing and/or taking it too seriously on the tribal tip, haters, etc. I wondered what his actual boxing credentials were, but I'd say none of he had Rolly winning. RD 1 should've been 10-8, and then he had a point deducted. Impossible to have Romero up unless blind or crooked.

    Isaac Cruz is simply that good. a miniature "Iron Mike". Cruz treated Rolly with no more respect or deference than he did Gervonta who also wants no more of that smoke. "Tank's" grateful that Cruz has found success at 140lbs. Meanwhile, Tszyu's fans need to stick to one story. Either the tide dramatically shifted in Fundora's favor after the "blinding"(?) cut Orrr Tszyu overcame the cut to still outbox, outpunch, and outclass Fundora for the win. It can't be Both(?!). Btw, while Tszu was wiping blood from his face, Fundora had to breathe through a broken and gushing nose while swallowing his own blood for 8-9 rounds. Disadvantage: Fundora who nonetheless outworked a befuddled Tszyu with the most basic tools in boxing. A consistent and disruptive jab and the one-two. The commentators did comment on Tszyu's gushing wound and also pointed out that his corner apparently lacked the proper medications/coagulants to stop the bleeding. Disadvantage: Tszyu. I'm hearing a whole lot of excuses and "explanations" for the losers and restrained or virtually no praise for the winners(?). What gives?!?

    Is this a management type situation? I just can't wrap my head around a man who lost, in his hometown, and the winner NEVER have a pro boxing match after beating the favorite..... I believe it just shows the favoritism in boxing, and basically "NEPOTISM" if you know the right people you are IN.... Can anyone tell me if I'm wrong? I'm open to any and all ideas, I just can't make sense of this, I genuinely would like a well thought out explanation. Thank you all if you took the time time to read my comment(s). ❤️ 🥊
