    Speed Queen seemed to have learned their lesson from last year and now they're finally back to their original design! Thank God for listening to my prayer! For those who are complaining about the indexing tub, the 2019 machines STILL DOES have brakes but they just didn't kick in. I have seen a video of another 2019 Speed Queen washer running without the indexing tub.

    There shouldn't have to be any regulations on appliances, especially if it affects quality. That's why other washers today are trash... I'll stick with m y old 97 Kenmore DD. The EPA or whoever enforces those asinine regulations can shove that, because all it does is lower quality of a product and affect performance.

    Hi Eugene, couple of things: at 13:46 the machine make a loud buzzing sound for about 25 seconds while the first overthrow spin is starting, then it will start its spray rinse. At 15:46 to 16:09 during the first spin, there is a very audible buzzing sound. Then at 17:41 after first spin (just as someone had mentioned in the last spin at 29:09), when the washer comes to a stop a bunch of this purple/grayish liquid drains down from the top of the top.

I'm assuming that it is just plain water that gets held at the top of the tub by centrifugal force and when the machine stops, that little bit of water falls down the tub. I does it after the main wash as well. Also, from what I understand, the 2020 model TR3003WN is the same as the previous model with the agitator attached to the tub and the tub spins around and not the agitator. Hope that help. I really like this washer, I really do. I’m glad they’re bringing the classic design back. But I kinda still like the new agi-tub models as well. I’ve never used one myself but I’ve seen a lot of videos of that machine and honestly, it looks like it cleans just fine. The only concern I have with it, is it able to get the pet hair out of dirty blankets and such? I have pets and their blankets and comforters get pretty nasty. Our current washplate washer sucks at getting any kind of large blanket or comforter clean. All it does is fill up with a bunch of water while the blankets gently swish around while the washplate creates minimal currents in the water. The tub does scrub it a little while it goes back and forth getting it somewhat clean. but keyword “somewhat”. I really want it to brake so we can get a speed queen lol. Hopefully someone who has pets can confirm this for me.

    I decided after obsessing over washer and dryers for about a month. I am replacing 14 year old kenmore elite HE front load- which We’re not bad at all. Large King size comforters. Pillows. Etc. it was a great washer and a Bering was gone 5 years before it died. Repair guy Said it still works - so I wouldn’t at all mind getting another front loader however- My HE kenmore washed in 40-45 minutes full dirty load. That was without new 2015 HE requirements. Well in my experience- my kenmore was ahead of its time I. Build quality and I loved it. No more. You simply need water to wash clothes thoroughly. You can have fancy detergent and machines that look beautiful. BtW my kenmore machines looked space age when I received them. Compared to the speed queens o jist bought. No repairs in 14 years. Cleaned clothes had water etc. well HE’s. You have jumped the shark. I have to go old school now. Almost 2 hours it took to do load just washing In My friends New LG. This is a typical load in our home. Are you joking1. 2 hours? Not ok at all. People work and sleep and live. Appalling that people now think this is normal. It’s not. Not at all. Thank you old fashioned washers. We miss you.

    @@LorainFurnitureandAppliance Ahh, thank you :) The Speed Queen is hard to find down here in Miami FLorida. Will keep my eye open for them. As a KZreadr myself, I appreciate the hard work you put into making your videos and the consistency of them too. Great job!! I have a few suggestions, I will only put one here so I don't sound like an aspirin ;) When you upgrade your camera, get a 4K camera (if you need help picking one out I am your man cause that is my little corner of the KZread world :) Get a 4K camera and pull back on your framing (your view). You are going to export out to 1080 (unless you want to upgrade your vids to 4k, and that's fine) so that will leave you a lot of room to crop to see the control panels of these machines and the tub action for another view and so on - all with one positioning. For example, you say something like this in your videos - "Let's set up the machine, full wash, water temp to such & such" and so on. With the 4K view, you can change the crop so people can see you set the machine dials and then go back to the tub view without having the bother of moving the camera around (which I wouldn't move around either lol). That is how the 4K camera will help you - one position, many crops. People will think you are really good at getting the details into your videos. Too much information? Sorry, as you can see from my own videos, I love to talk hehe. I also think you should eventually make a new page on your website to list the machines and give them a "Eugene Rating" and a current top 3 rating (which can change as time goes on). Even I would like to know what and why are your top machines for the moment. In fact, you can even charge for that info if you wanted too, but I don't want to write a book here :) Love you - keep up the flow of info, makes people love you more!

  • @5610winston

    @5610winston

    The dispenser is a cup and collar at the top of the agitator. The first spin flings the liquid softener from the cup into the outer collar of the dispenser and at the end of the spin, the liquid runs down through the hollow agitator to mix with the rinse water as it fills. I suppose you could use the extra rinse with the fabric softener, rinse the softener out of the clothes during the second rinse. I never cared for the feel or the smell of softener on the clothes, so I don't use it.

    tim whinnery you have to underneath behind the control panel and towards the right side (of washer) you will see these contacts, well what happens is when the lid is opened, the contacts touch each other (hence the halt in operation) so in order to prevent this you must (with the lid closed) stick something in between the contacts like a clothes pin or a sock or a rag, and what that will do is keep the contacts from touching each other, thus resulting in uninterrupted machine action but yeah you have to look up underneath behind the control panel, youll see it.

It did about 10 loads of laundry, and I am waiting 10 days for a repair person to come fix it. It flooded my laundry room floor from the bottom of the machine. It is was really great to have really clean laundry again. Can't believe it already broke down.

    I just bought this washer today! I have had 2 FAILED Maytag washers. ( disastrous). A front loader that failed, flooded, threw codes over and over and last straw the heat sensor went and 3 weeks later the wires near the pump melted, and a newer Maytag top loader piece of S*** HE that failed the FIRST DAY!. I was lucky enough to get it for a very good price, free financing and a 10 year warranty that is running until the end of this month ( Sept. 30 2019 ). I wanted a good, strong , hard core , NO BS washer that can handle 4 men with filthy work clothes and myself! I was on the fence about a Maytag Commercial series, and this washer. I decided with the all metal components, the warranty and simplicity, I would go with the Speed Queen. I didn't want plastic gears, and the 2019 TR5000 has an odd new agitator. THIS one is like the OLD school washer.. The ONLY Maytag I will keep is my 1958 washer with roller wringer :) that STILL runs today! I hope to get many ,many good years out of this. Been an exhaustive search but I thing I chose wisely! P.S. What kind of laundry soap tablets did you add to this wash??

    I had wanted a Speed Queen for 20 years and just as I was about to buy one, 2018 Units with the horrific review came about. Two days ago a 13 year old Kenmore than came with this house stopped running. We had a repair man from Sears come out and it was going to cost $430 for the part and about $100 for his labor. My husband said, "No...I can get a new washer for that." Yesterday, he purchased from Appliance Liquidation Outlet here in San Antonio a Speed Queen: TC 5, Model AWN632SP116TW01: $1029.00 for the Unit, $60 Delivery Fee, Less $30 for the old Kenmore Unit, plus Sales Tax at 8.25% of $87.37, Total $1146.37. Because of this video I was able to cancel delivery in the neck of time on a Whirlpool Cabrio. The Speed Queen was bought in the morning, delivered and installed by 2:30 p.m on the same day. and I was washing by 3:00. Thank you very much for the video; thanks to the supplier and thank you Lee.. Christmas in July!

    I don't understand this -- how can they sell this new - old design model with the new energy standards? Do they bill it as a "commercial" model or did they change the water to a thermostatically blended system, or up the spin speed to get out more water????? How is this possible?

    @@hyperlexis The old model complied with regs. also...The 2018 was more about simplifying a design and cost cutting than compliance irregardless of the popular opinion of strict rules....Besides, the 2018 isn't all that much different from the old model as far as water usage and power consumption is concerned. This is because the 2018 uses a larger and more powerful motor 1hp. If you like going around in half washed clothes that's up to you. Maytag uses plastic parts in their washers so they certainly aren't better than this machine that uses metal parts. I'll still be using my SQ long after your maytag has bit the dust and been recycled into a cheap Korean refrigerator, lol.
