Then there also the fact that psychology is taken more seriously beyond very dangerous or debilitating disorders. Therefore there's alot more diagnosis such as autism, adhd etc When before they were the socially akward wierdo with fixations & the hyper distracted kid. It then spreads out to ppl paying more attention & getting more access to mental health info & identifying toxic behaviour.

here's a quick summary of what happened at 2:43 (yeah, I was so curious about the missed part I went on Reddit myself) basically, MIL did NOT outright apologize to the OP, and only told her that she's sorry her actions might've hurt her son/OP's husband. OP was rightfully furious and later on refused to accept MIL's invitation for Thanksgiving. MIL only delivered a half-assed apology and tried to plead "BuT wE aRe FaMiLy, families don't tell on each other!" to OP, basically refusing to accept what she's done was wrong. the next part is about an accident OP's cousin-in-law was in. CIL was staying with OP and her husband sometimes, as she was attending college in their city. CIL is described as a really sweet girl, and OP and her husband really like having her over. however, she's struck by a drunk driver one day as she's returning from her classes. that's it for the skipped part

I knew immediately when she said the statement ("if she was a real woman") hit her really hard that it was about her inability to conceive -- I went through this myself and it's extremely difficult not to feel some how "broken". I don't know that MIL intended it that way, but it was not the time for ugly statements. *I was able to have 1 child btw (despite being told I would never conceive) -- God can make all things happen. I sincerely hope they get a surprise one day (whether directly or through another/adoption)! ❤

I saw the full vid She calls saying that she left her wallet wih them so asks husband to bring it She spends hours talking ro him and when he comes home she is mad he doesnt say why sil's daughter was in an accident and op visited her while mil was there as mil and sil were there and mil is pretending to be sleepy so op signs to husband lets go and mil asks about her op then looks at sil asks where she was saying sil says at a hotel adjacent to hospital and op leavs she decides to keep on visiting sil's daughter because she loves sil more than she hates mil and she brings snacks while thwy were talking about a boy mil walks in with McDonald's and says it's sil's daughter's lunch she says she is full and mils asksif she can do anything right and yell at sils daughter for not eating McDonald's and while op leaves mil yeets a coke at her face luckiliy a nurse saw and calls security afterwards mil linges at op to scream but thats not what security thought so she got thrown to the floor mil buys ticket to leave state But the flight is the next day so they have lunch before leaving and mil reveals that her retirement plan is to live with op to take care of their kid but op said they wont have kids (because opsp is infertile) and the mom starts crying almost on cue and op get dragged home by husband and she tells security to call cops if mil shows up amd then it enda😊

The MIL is probably just a terrible person, but just in case, it might be a good idea to have her tested for dementia (possibly early on set) or even a UTI depending on her age. Just being old doesnt suddenly make you a terrible person, but dementia can cause pretty bad personality changes or escalation in pre-existing behavior. In older individuals a UTI can also cause neurological changes, to the point that some older individuals were tested for dementia when it turned out the symptoms went away after being treated for the UTI.

When she said I thought this was over, I just tackled out loud, over it hasn't even started.

Here's my summary of the story (it has pretty much nothing else about the job): MIL is at the airport for several hours because the ticket is early next morning. She conveniently "forgot" her wallet and husband had to drive it to her and has hours long talk with MIL. A cousin gets into a car accident and her mom (MIL sister) + MIL come back into town to help her at the hospital. MIL doesn't make arrangements to stay anywhere and expects to stay with her son (husband) + OP. OP sticks to her guns about not letting her back and asks the MIL sister where she's staying and suggests that MIL stay at that hotel too. MIL gets a cab back to OP house anyway and goes off on the gate guard, and nearly gets arrested for her tantrum. OP hangs out with cousin and brings her snacks. MIL shows up with McDonald's food and cousin says she's already full from snacks. MIL gets upset she can't do anything right, and proceeds to tell cousin she'll get fat eating only snacks and needs real food. MIL is told to leave and she goes at OP and is stopped by security. Full rage at this point and throws a drink at OP and item at a guard before booking it out of the hospital. OP knows that MIL new flight doesn't leave till tomorrow and that her husband wants to get lunch with her, so they attend. OP takes a minute to explain to readers how they aren't really trying for a baby and might not be able to, but adopting an older kid from foster care could be a possibility. Back to the lunch and MIL is talking about babies and how OP and husband will need her to stay with them when the baby comes. MIL fully expected them to have babies and her to be the live-in granny as her retirement plan. Husband explains they won't be having babies, and it won't be necessary. MIL takes this as a complete shock and decides to say, "If your wife was a real woman," she'd have a place to stay in her twilight years. Husband gets OP out of there quick, and they agree to completely cut off MIL. No more access to their life, no more money, nothing unless husband wants to spend his time or money on her. My opinion is OP messed up by not having her files secure, but MIL is insane and unhinged. Good on husband for sticking up for OP emotionally.
