I feel bad for woman's ex-husband.

Daughter is in the wrong and it's obvious because she's self absorbed. she only cared about her needs and likely expected her ex to magically get with the picture once they started seriously adulting, how did i come to that conclusion? because the new target of her affection has little else going on. she found someone that has no obligations to anything who can shower her with as much praise as she wants. how bad a dude that guy is is rather irrelevant because he is serving in PRISON. OP dropped the ball in giving her room to defend herself and her ex was stupid in not fighting for at list the kid that's out. if there was anything about the daughter trying to talk about her concern or the ex ignoring her intentionally or otherwise she'd have a leg to stand on but it's clear that she's looking for that level of constant affection she got in highschool and college

Go for grandparents rights it’s she admitted not being a stable mother

Let it happen if the guy gets out of jail and hurts her or hurts her kid that's her fault

OP is in the wrong. The ex is in the wrong. The daughter is right if the guy in prison is right, and wrong if the guy lied to her.

@@mydadbeatsmii9808 OP is wrong because she neglected her daughter who was going through PPD, then tried to control her through her ex. The daughter's view on the guy that she is seeing is that he acted in self defense, then took a plea bargain. If she is right about him, then he is a guy in a bad situation who offered her more emotional support than her ex.

And if a person ain't capable of finding other solutions than killing someone no matter the gender they ain't fit to raise children ether, that's assuming he isn't just lying. The daughter cannot blame the husband nor the mother for not knowing about the PPD that's crazy you cannot expect help if you don't ask for it and the cheating is also just wrong. She needs to get her priorities in order or she'll loose her children for sure the courts ain't that bias towards women.
