Change to worse and being populist?

The Current PM should just step down completely and let the next PAP PM helm the position. PM Lee should not be given any Senior Minster post or Emeritus post to be pulling the strings from behind and instructing the next PM to follow PM Lee's Policy or party's whip.

Thank God for such wisdom from PM, Mr Lee HL to select a PM designate. He has set a precedent for selection process so that unity of the government remains, if not stronger. What an encouragemeant!

There are flaws with LW, and like some, is not my first choice too. But his advantage is relative youth. Just like the well-respected Lee Hsien Loong who first came into politics and many don’t like him initially, I hope LW can also go thru an equivalent transformation to be the next great statesman from Singapore.

Lawrence Wong will be great

The problem of successor to LHL in the govrrnment might have been resolved, but the real challenge for Lawrence Wong ahead is for him to garner the full support of the whole PAP, especially the grassroots, and mobilise them to win the next GE. The choice of leadership at this stage was made only by the political elite of PAP. Is it endorsed by the ranks and files of PAP and the voters, who might have other choices in their minds. Don't forget that the bulk of Lawrence Wong's career and working experiences are in top government services. This might be his strength in governance and formulating policies, but could be a determining weakness in heat and hustle of ground politics especially in elections. He cannot just be the head of the government, he has to be the leader of PAP which can winthe hearts of Singaporeans. In a democracy, no one can say for sure that PAP will win the majority in the parliement in the next GE and Lawrence Wong will remain (or become) the next PM.

Why should any PAP minister bother with such arrogant, bothersome, ever complaining, ungrateful citizens? The PAP govt is too good for the low-quality, grumbling citizens actually.

Nothing is forever. Everything on earth is fluid. What u see now might not be what you see down the road especially with the volatility of human nature, just take it now, this moment, who's know?? 🤔 🤔 Especially where there is a saying change is constant.. Actually it is a simple answer, you buy any house when the tenure ends, it will not worth a cent. You become the Minister and pay us the house price when our house reached 99 years. I vote for you

Dear PM Wong , are singaporeans allowed to freely ask about HDB tenure , will one be threathened with getting arrested for asking some relevant good reasonable questions ? LKY and GCT did ot encourage inter racial relationship then why do LHL pap encourages inter racial relationship ? Will pap continue to encourage inter racial relationship to make singapore into a nation of hybrid foreign alien mixed bastards generation , during LKY and GCT management , there are no ceca and very much lesser inter racial relationship compared to past 10 years during LHL management . What is you opinion in regard to the above question ?

Obviously, MR. Lawrence Wong will be the next PM, he also has his flaws. Although he is an eloquent speaker and professional in his attitude, there will still be GST increases and water and electricity Tax hikes.

He listens to feedbacks of the people and finds out doable way to help them. He has heart for the people. This is good as Singapore is going to be a responsible welfare society. While Lawrence Wang is aggressive and arrogant towards Singaporeans. In recent seminar, he has aggressive and arrogant tone towards others' feedbacks, and set his own direction without caring for the consequences caused to those affected. Lawrence Wong has direction, many detailed plans and has execution skill, but Ong Ye Kung can set sensible and balance policies from 2 extremely different goals. Singapore with Lawrence Wong as PM will be very different from now which is heartwarming to the people. I will not love Singapore so much in his care. What Lawrence Wong do best is to create wealth for Singapore, and to manage Singapore's budget. Heng Swee Keat has the strengths of them both. He is a knowledgeable leader, has the respects of all the respectable well-wishers of Singapore. I hope Heng Swee Keat will be voted again as future PM. Although he can only be PM for shorter years, but he can set the direction right for Singapore and lead us to a even better Singapore with his care towards Singaporeans and plans, direction, and ability to balance, with his good execution skills, and respect from Singaporean and the world leaders. Ong Ye Kung is for the people, Lawrence Wong is not really. I'm afraid Lawrence Wong will set his own direction and deter away from the system and ideas of Lee Kuan Yew. The character of Lawrence Wong is so different from the characters of our late PM Lee Kuan Yew and PM Lee Hsien Loong, which are 光明正大，真心为国为民，真心体恤民生，谦虚温馨，不为自己，不自我，不自私, 不虚假。He is attention and credit seeking in his hidden character, so unlike our soft-spoken and humble PM Lee Hsien Loong.

@Om Soha Maybe the 4th generation are looking for a powerful man to represent Singapore. But Singapore cannot stand tough allying with a big power against another big power, or else we will lose our independence to make our best of interest decisions between benefits from both big powers. If we do not want to be controlled by any big power, we cannot ally with any big power. The big power will always benefits their closest allies, children countries and countries they can benefit from. Singapore can only get the most benefits if we can choose the benefits from all big powers. Singapore can do this safely without allying with any big power against another big power, and without losing our independence because no big power will want us to stand tough against it by we choosing side, so they will continue to be friendly to us provided we are friendly to it. We can choose benefits here and there from all big powers then.
