I've seen far more older fighters beat younger little grasshoppers than I've ever seen these little bucks beat the older bulls, age plays a part yup it sure does buy limited it's not the deciding factor. I'm 45 none of the younger fighters in my gym have taken me out, or come closet it. It's the caliber of the man topped with his skill set finished off with his drive to fight and win thar fight.
To be fair, it's not Polizzi's willpower which keeps him in the fight, it's Romero's mercy.

i think it would have been more merciful if Romero had just finished him early instead of knocking him over and letting him recover a few times. Polizzi probably took a few fights worth of damage because of Romero toying with him and not going for the finish.

Yeah, it was Yoel's cruelty that kept him in the fight, he could have shown mercy and ended it in the 1st round...Polizzi probably took some career shortening damage, taking 3 rounds of Yoel Romero landing at will....it was actually really awful and shitty to do haha.

is it me or did romero just give this man a gentlemen's beat down? romeros posture, conservative and efficient was incredible to watch and mechanical to the core. he held back 80% of his strength. He chose how almost every moment would play out. He respected polizzi for his heart, and held multiple times, to let him swing back. I don't often feel this way about a professional MMA fight but this one was hard to watch on Polizzi's behalf, he was in big trouble from the first second and never showed any hope of saving himself. That being said, Romero is as exciting as it gets in MMA, so creative and different! What a performance.
In Yoel's first fight at bellator vs Phil Davis, Yoel look like he was struggling to really move at lhw but now he's getting more use to being a lhw so his movement is going to be so much greater like almost the way he was moving at mw, going from 185 to 205 is a big weight difference for your body to adjust.

@@roddss bro what? both of jones brothers were in the nfl, dude has insane athletic genetics. and he’s 6’4 if he developed a shot he could be in the nba, if he dedicated to nfl he could’ve been a dangerous TE, cover , anything. yoel couldn’t. he’s a freak for sure but jones way more athletically gifted and we’ve seen him in his younger days when he didn’t have good boxing beat people off athleticism

@@ivaard Noone in the whole mma industry can be compared to Romero IMHO. Nobody fight like him, nobody will still be fighting at 45 that's for sure! That guy is unique! He destroys 30 yrs old fighters at their prime and make the fight look easy! He could have finished him at the 2nd round if he wanted.... Truly special, amazing and inspiring individual this Joel Romero.
I LIVE watch Yoel fight. The dude is a legend and somehow STILL pretty much in his prime at 45 yrs old!!!
"I WANTED TO DELIVER A MESSAGE, AND I THINK I DID". -soldier of god Touch gloves is a sign of respect between two fighters before the fight. Being a veteran fighter, an Olympian and being a MMA fan and a fighter himself, and being a true sportsman, he ask for it (touch-glove) and his opponent ignored it.
10:31 😂 holy shit I thought yoel snapped homies leg in half

Romero is like the main boss in an anime !
Oh my god you Romero cada vez melhor impressionado sua performance!
"See you soon.. boy!!" Cracked me up again😂
Man,, yoel is still got it. Even at age 45. Respect soldier of god.
10:30 That kick is so ruthless!
El mejor ; Romero de CUBA 🇨🇺 ❤
Timed it perfect
What a fantastic fight... Romero was amazing here. When he moves, so fast. Those nasty leg strikes, lighting speed spreads to negate the wrestling attempts then those power punch's wow.
While Big John is interviewing Romero after his win, I am thinking "I hope that other guy is seeking immediate medical attention."
People like Romero remind me being 35 myself isn't too late to get healthy lol
Great performance. That sprawl was lighting fast. At 45 he's still a beast
Fun Fact : Romero thought it is a sparing section.
What a soldier! Well fought by a master tactitian. I wonder how many fights Romero has lost for being such a gentleman fighter?
His hands are quick asf bro, and his hand movements the way he constantly moves them around is satisfying to watch
This guy is just built differently. He is a beast. His mercy on Polizzi made the right longer.
I've never seen anyone stuff takedowns like this dude's bionic
One of my favorite, great warrior.
Yoel just unstoppable - but what Heart and Courage in Alex.
the finish at the last second was beautiful.
Romero..a legend..God man..blessed..
Romero é surreal, soldado de Deus!
Romero is like a friendly Broly (which is actually a thing, since the recent Dragon Ball movies)
that last uppercut turned his head around... 45 and moving like a cat, Romero is unreal
AT 45 and Romero is still a BEAST!!! 💪💪
Díos debe de estar orgulloso de tener un soldado como Yoel..
Yoel looks better than ever , unreal.

Thats only true if you take of your kundalini (mind body and spirit). Its work that goes into looking and moving like him at 45. You cant get that on fortnite.
Yoel was playing with his food
Love that unload then reload style
