From Musician To Minister: The Story Of Mike Todd

Mike Todd and Transformation Church are incredibly well known within the Evangelical world in America. What isn't known however is where Mike Todd came from and how Transformation Church came to be.
In this one-of-a-kind video, I aim to lay out an understandable timeline for the formation of both Transformation Church and Mike Todd's theology.
This isn't a hit piece, which will disappoint some, but rather a video in which I'm just putting the facts on the table and letting the viewer decide.

The fact he had a youth ministry of 200 kids, and he hadn't studied the bible or had any intention to, is such a red flag. Once the youth ministry got even bigger he then realized this was serious, and that he should start studying. If you have a youth ministry with one kid in it, it's serious, the quantity of our ministry should never determine the level of seriousness we take it.

That’s a very common practice at Pentecostal charismatic churches. I call them the hype men/woman. They are generally staff or volunteers who have reserved front row seats on Sundays or at conferences. It props up and elevates the speaker when they say something that sounds smart. It also looks/sounds good for the video livestream or recording.

I used to watch Mike Todd every Sunday after my own church service.I even recommended him to a lot of my church folks. I was so pleased that a young man was on fire for the Lord and full of wisdom beyond his years. Sadly I had to stop watching as I felt he was losing the plot - such a shame, a man with so much potential. I pray that he comes back to the Lord, without all the controversy and theatrics!

This documentary is well made and investigated (the first 15 minutes), but it rather generates a positive perception instead of warning people. It is way to neutral and is not biblical in the sense of our obligation to vividly warn people of deception through false teachers.

  • @annbelduncan4638

    @annbelduncan4638

@Fit For Faith - Ministries I beg to differ. Its neutrality has allowed me room to see and analyze for myself. I could see what led him to where he is at and if anything, the gaps in the foundation he built upon. It is a great reflection on why we should take heed to how we build, why doctrine and theology is the fundamental principle we build upon. All other ground is sinking sand. This man was endorsed by leadership inspite of his inadequacies, no-one checked his walk or doctrine as a younger minister, amongst other mishaps in his walk. If anything, this is a cautionary tale and a call to intercession on his behalf. If anything, this man was failed by many. This is not to negate that he will also be held to account for his own actions. However, the mercy of God remains as long as he is alive. Friends, deception is real. Let us learn to lean on God's word and not on our own understanding. One man's unaddressed deficiencies in training are now a generational deficiency. I urge us to pray without seizing that the generation will be delivered. Count the cost my people, pay the price, father rightly, justly and without fear in the love of the Lord. The master is coming at unknown day to take account. Let us be faithful.

You are too fascinated by Mike Todd's achievements. His mom taught him the law of attraction and spoke words to him at the young age, but he is blasphemously attributing his selfish desires and plans as well as law of attraction theology to be from the Holy Spirit. He seeks what he wants and not what the Lord Jesus wants for him. His eyes is set on what he wants and not what the Lord wants him to set his eyes on. Speaking about the Holy Spirit without Reverent Fear shows no conviction or honouring of the Holy Spirit as God. A true pastor would ask him whether he is presenting his congregations as a blemish bride before the Lord and apply every fiber of his being to make that possible with the Lord's help; and not seek for the Lord to bring his self-seeking desires to pass as if God is a genie.

I then started attending another church and became the music leader. Mike offered to buy a lot of local churches as a merger including my church and we turned them down. The next year, he gave our church $15,000 to help us with needs and I still believe it was a tactic to get us to say yes. I didn't have a say but my pastor did good by not caving. Being a graduate of ORU, I have seen the evolution into the prosperity gospel first hand. A lot of my friends still attend TC and I would say you boil a frog really slowly. My family joined Higher Dimensions in 1992 when I was 5. Pastor Mike, his siblings, I and my siblings were in children’s church together and our parents prayed and ministered together for years. My family transitioned to Greenwood when I was 10 years old. I began ministering at Greenwood when I was 16 (inviting friends from school, leading them to Christ, teaching messages in the youth etc). By the time Greenwood became Transformation Church in 2012 I was an adult leader at TC/Greenwood on Pastor Mike’s team until I was 26. As one whose known almost everyone in this video very well since I was 5, it’s important that the public knows some of these facts are true and some are completely incorrect. But I am impressed at how much this video creator could piece together maybe solely based on sermons and other video clips. And I Love and highly respect His heart to Glorify God. This piece gets some of the facts right but there’s no way to get the heart of the ministry without having been a part. Greenwood was a ground breaking ministry long before Pastor Michael ever came over but God has used his willingness, leadership and obedience ever since. My time in Tulsa came to an end some years back when I relocated with my company but I pray God continues to be Glorified through that ministry and others as well as through the lives of all His sons and daughters.

@@michellelewis6914 Yes but the donkey spoke not by himself but by the power of God which equipped him to speak of the word of God. Also you need to bring the whole text into context to understand WHY God chose to empower the donkey to speak to Balaam. In Numbers 22 we see that God gave him an instruction and told him that he must only do what he was instructed. Balaam instead decided to do his own thing, God in his anger sent an armed angel to destroy Balaam, donkey saw the angel with sword drawn and ran off the road, crushed Balaams leg on a wall then lied on top of him. Balaam in response began to beat the animal not knowing that it was trying to save his life. At that moment then God opened the mouth of the donkey which then protested Balaams ill treatment then God open Balaams still blind eyes to the presence of the angel. The purpose of that miracle was to get Balaams attention and prevent him from going further towards his own destruction because of his disobedience and to put him in position to repent from said disobedience, receive again Gods instructions from the angel that was sent so that he may then carry out Gods will. The message here is consistent. Gods word is to be obeyed and not ours nor anyone elses for that matter, Including what Mike Todd or any Pastor, Preacher, Evangelist, Prophet etc. says (read the entire passage}. Unless of course what they say is in full alignment with the truth of what Gods word says. Disobedience to his Word given can lead to us becoming the asses moreso than the animals themselves, and if continued, swift judgement. All things must be tested by that which God already said to see if it lines up with the truth of his Word or if its just mans word and will being professed. "Do not treat prophecies with contempt, but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5 20-22"

the bible is clear how in the last days people will be "lovers of themselves." with social media all these celebrity pastors are just concerned about gaining a following and going viral.

This actually gave me a much different perspective, I see why people aren’t quick to criticize his worrisome teachings. I pray that he will develop into a better pastor and lead his church to the truth. The majority of my family lives in Tulsa, so I know how this church is seen in their community.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAYING THIS!!! THANK YOU! I watch all these videos of trying to expose him or other young pastors and it’s annoying because they will do so many video exposing them…however none of the videos are praying for these pastors to grow in God and to develop. PRAY for them.

Great documentary! I appreciate the history without bashing and/or condoning the good/the bad/and the ugly of TC. Prayers for #MikeTodd! He's not a villain but he definitely has made mistakes. Would love to see him move away from the theatrics and move towards sound Bible teaching. He has great potential if he takes a few steps back to evaluate what he's doing and why he's doing it. Anywho, those are just my 2 cents. Thanks again for this video! God bless you bro and can't wait to see more!

Thank you for making this. As a supporter of Mike Todd’s ministry, it was refreshing to watch an objective narrative of the history of Transformation Church. Mike’s story is truly a testament of his faith. God called him, gave him vision, creativity, discipline, insight, and boldness. No one can take that away no matter what they say about him, because they didn’t anoint him to make the impact he’s making, God did. Mike was successful as a music producer before he became a senior pastor, he didn’t have to do ministry full time. He chose to. Why is it that when someone gives there life up to help the body of Christ, so many want to tear them down? It breaks my heart to see Mike changing a generation for Christ while all these KZreadrs are waiting for him to slip up so that they can make a video. He’s a human just like all of us, allow him to evolve just like God allows us all to learn and change. Thanks again for the great documentary 🔥

Wow this video was well done....I got into his relationship goals series...I am not a Stan but I do believe God and the holy Spirit is behind him. But there's one thing I will say me and Mike have in common we are both extra ppl and we go big and go hard . So sometimes I feel like he goes big but by his own accord and may not have necessarily have received the blessing to do certain things. I will say I have been very weary of him after he started hanging around Kanye West . But your Video did help me look at him in a different light I think i was a lil to critical of him. It's so funny I was saying how I am lil weary of transformation church and here came your video from the Holy Spirit...and I feel like the holy spirit was telling me to give him Grace. I definitely got a piece of humble pie 😅😅
