Hi coach Craig I absolutely love your videos... I wish you would do a video about my situation. My ex partner of 11 years had an affair and left me in the end of March this year..am 46 he is 34..we have 2 young kids together... he has been back about 8 times since then and only staying about a few days or a week at a time... each time he said he had finished with her when he hadn't... I love him so much and want our family back but he has moved in with her and says she treats him better than I ever did..that's just wrong..her ex did the same to her last year what my ex is doing to me...she knows he has been back at mine to work it out, but she has still got her claws into him how can I compete with someone like that when he was back at mine and when he left me again I sent her copies of the texts he sent me saying love you...but now he won't send me any texts like that again...I know I was very stupid for sending her anything I really could kick myself but when your hurt u just don't think straight. So any way haven't let myself go I look after myself I defiantly don't look my age. But she looks older than me lol she is not anything to look at. But anyway my rant over there...it's been nearly 7mths now and it still hurts Every day... I wish he would see sense that he truly had a living family that loves him and want a him home...he doesn't really bother with the kids...he is only know going to a lawyer to get access to them after I said he could see them but I don't want her to have anything to do with them am so hurt confused and angry all at the same time... coach Craig please can you help is it hopeless to get him back...x

Word of warning: if you’re obsessed with getting your ex back and only work on yourself in the hope of rekindling things, it’ll all blow up in ur face sooner or later. You might work on yourself for a bit, and hypothetically speaking she does come back and sees you in a “different light” it’s all just a front. You only changed because of her. In conclusion you’re still the same old person. Real change comes from within. Real changed is when you realize you’re all you need and that you’re capable of so much more. If you reach that state of being then you’re golden. But if you desire to change just because of her, it’ll all blow up in ur face sooner or later.

my therapist said the best way to get her back is to get back to how I was when me and my ex started dating, I agree with the other comment about growing, because in the first place, the negative energy I put out, in part, and don't me wrong, I want my ex back, but my ex is a negative person in many ways with a lot of trauma, so how I was when i got her, was anxious and angry for not having any relationships for 6 years, so in a way, it was kind of fitting. I had a severe condition that is now cured where I wasn't able to date hardly at all (it's a physical condition, long story) so I had this huge gap. My ex knows about the gap, so it makes it even more desperate probably to her. Anyway, I digress, I agree with what you guys both said in a way. I want to take the best of how I was in May 2019 (right when me and my ex started talking) and improve upon it.

I wrote my doctoral dissertation on romantic breakups and no contact by the person that is feeling rejected. The research really supports the value of no contact for healing and potential repair of the relationship. You and Margaret are excellent, and it's so nice you are a resource of hope. :)

angela mcmahon I for one would love to read your dissertation! I am a returning adult student working on a masters at Stony Brook University. I barely started no contact about 3 weeks ago but was continuously messing up the first 3 months...she looks at my social media and messages me once and a while...but I don't look at hers...I'm working on my goals...but do I still have a chance?

No contact or no reaching out gave me STRENGTH!

I’m going through no contact right now. But wanted to say that years ago I went no contact with another guy & it worked on him. He told me it drove him absolutely insane & that he checked my social media 500 times a day. He actually drove to my house because I had blocked his number to give me a piece of junk mail that was delivered to his house. I took it & shut the door lol then I noticed he wrote a letter on the back of the junk mail envelope saying he misses me so much & please talk to him. I thought about it for a day & texted him the next day a brief message. We got back together, it didn’t last though. In the no contact period I grew & my feelings were not the same for him again so I then dumped him. That was 6 years ago. We are casual friends now. He still wants to pursue more but I have zero feelings. So yes, sometimes it works. Just typing this out to give someone hope. I come to read the comments in all these videos because I too, need the encouragement at this time. ❤️

Okay something similar happened to me. We were in NC for almost 2 years and when we finally got in contact, we hung out a few times and they admitted that they loved me and thought about me all the time. But their avoidance led them to cut things off again but without “Hard feelings”. They wanted to remain friends, but not really. I went NC again. And so far I’ve been in it since. I wonder if her feelings were just not the same when we reconnected, but that would be confusing since she said she loved me.

I think that anyone with a inch of integrity and reason will understand after 5 min of watching any of your videos that this channel is not about pickups or manipulations. That it is a serious channel, that has genuine value for healthy relationships and healthy attraction. In order to get into relationship you need to do pick up;) If you dont know how to do pick up, you will not be in relationship. Dont undervalue pick up channels because they give big value to people.

Unfortunately if your bf is a narcissist there's no way they'll ever miss u or realise their mistakes. Rather they'll blame it on u for every arguments and misundrstandings. They'll cheat lie but will act as the victim...

I left my Narc ex because of the way he was treating me, asked a woman out to lunch behind my back because she was moving away and this was a woman he had a crush on and admitted he was still attracted to, and that was unacceptable to me. Even though I knew he wouldn’t have slept with her because she only liked him as a friend, it hurt me because of his lack of boundaries with females. He also had two other single attractive female friends he talked to all the time over the phone, by text, and even did handyman-type favors for in person and never bothered to introduce me to them even though I kept asking him. He blamed me for the breakup instead of wanting to fix the problems and get rid of his other side girlfriends as I explained to him what emotional affairs are. He was telling them the same things he told me on a daily basis and talking to them all the time plus basically tucking each other in bed by text and dropping everything he was doing for them. It amazed me his complete disregard and ambivalence to my feelings. He saw nothing wrong with his behavior yet certainly wouldn’t have been ok with me treating him the same way. Total self absorbed Narcissist. So I was the enemy he hated me for dumping him and I felt like I had no choice that I couldn’t tolerate the situation I was in. But I still really loved him and I was depressed and missed him and when I tried to ask him back and work things out because I missed him and was in agony and he would just ghost me and punish me by not responding whatsoever. It took me over a year to get over a guy I was only with for 4 months because the trauma bond was so strong between us. I’m glad now that it didn’t work because he had major deal breaking issues going on and was starting to insult me and criticize me and completely stopped touching me anymore after only a couple of months and would push me away when I attempted intimacy. Now I find out he has a new girlfriend and he got off Facebook because it was causing problems in their relationship even though when I complained about his Facebook behavior he said I was way too controlling and he didn’t see anything wrong with talking to other women or hearting and wowing their pictures yet ignoring my posts. I was so hurt and angry that he was giving attention to other women when I was the one he was with and driving him all over the state for his doctor appointments. A life with him would’ve meant sharing him with other women “friends” he was having emotional affairs with. No thank you I have gotten over him just upset that he treated me like shit and I find out now he has a new girlfriend and he deactivated his Facebook profile for her and wouldn’t do it for me. Oh well God’s got my best interests at heart and he will bring a man to me that will make all the hell I’ve been through be worth it!

Exactly! I dealt with one of those last year. Very cold hearted. Ironically I did what he stated in this video on my own, good to know I went down the right path, met an awesome woman and seven months later she is benefiting from the new me. As for the ex, she popped in an exercise class for a few times at the beginning of the month. Surprised me she did that but I just held my own that she has no effect on me now. Felt really good not to feed her ego even saying hi to her and she has since disappeared again which I'm sure is for good now.

Silver Mont Not always true. I’m older by too much for him. He wants kids. My kid is 18 and I’m not starting over. He said I was his everything but left me to try a relationship with a young girl he met to see how it goes. He’s just that serious about having a baby of his own. So it sucks.

I been in no contact for about 5 months... I ruined it by calling her over the weekend private ... just wanted to hear her voice then I hung up like a little kid. This break up has been the worst thing in my life.

I started to watch other self help videos. Like dressing better, make up for my age and inspirational videos. TD Jakes, Les Brown, Jim Rohn and Tony Robbins. These videos inspired me to be my best self. Wealth, health and relationships. It is about me in the end. I must do it for myself. I have been hearing Craig's voice "It's okay" since he made that video. I had a recent death and all of the work I have done has helped me do better at keeping in emotional self control. This channel has changed my life and I am truly thankful for Coach Craig and Coach Margaret's help. Keep it up Craig! You're changing people's❤ lives!

Didn't take long, she started flirting with me today. She'd been pushing, running for over a week. I broke no contact daily, but today I sent her a text. Wished her well. Thanked her for the memories and good times. I knew I was going the other way, made it clear I wasn't going to be a friend. I'd be a supportive boyfriend, but not friend. 2 hours later she said she missed me. Missed my kiss... I went along. But I'll continue no contact. Only reply if she texts. I won't fall over myself to be with her.

I also believe that anxious attachment style doesn’t really exist. If existed it’s base on curiosity creates by an avoidant attachment person. Based on a relationship with an avoidant you become anxious and it’s not abnormal to be anxious. Please coach comment on that. Thanks!

People can show anxious behaviour with secure people. If a secure person needs space to do things, an anxious person can still blow up their phone or turn up uninvited. The concept of someone being clingy and always wanting to be around their partner is anxious behaviour. Anxiety in a relationship is abnormal behaviour, it stems from fear of threat to life and wellbeing for ourselves and the ones we love. Not them pulling away, whether justified or not. If you're anxious in a relationship, you need to therapy.

@@rahulagarwal3349 yeah. That's classic. Samen old bull. My ex wife did the same when she broke up with me 1 an a half years ago. She texted me to apolized and told me she wanted to be by herself. It's all bull. It's a phase of the break up. At that period of time they go into feeling guilty for the break up. They feel sorry for us. They know we're suffering and they know you want to get back. Fake it till you make it. Tell her it's ok and that you're ok with the break up. Even if you go home to cry after. This will hit them. Don't text them or communicate until they do it again. My case was total desaster. I started accusing her of having someone else and started mentioning friends from her facebook..🤣 don't mess up like I did...lol be strong.

Yo I love and appreciate all of the videos, especially the ones that make me cringe because it exposed all of the things I did wrong, but I really want to hear some success stories of ppl getting back who really messed up and made all of the post break up mistakes

He's right. You really do start to miss them like CRAZY. But in my case, he was messing with a bunch of women, so I won't go back no matter how much I miss him. But, yeah... The distance can be brutal on your heart.

This video was great! Perfect timing as well. However my immersion was distracted several times with huge volume jumps between cuts. Almost blew my studio monitors Craig! :P ... Huge fan, love your work!

@@agbordaniels Hey man, thanks for your reply. I had forgotten I even wrote this and I was notified someone replied. I was so depressed back then. I did have to grow up though. It took almost a year to figure it out but I realized I am stronger than what i was. I had no idea she had been cheating on me for 4 months prior to our breakup so no wonder NC failed miserably. She had already moved on while she was still with me. I'm glad she did what she did when she did it though. Better than having it done to me after we were married and had kids. She showed her true colors after being with her for 5 years. This whole situation forced me to grow up and become stronger.

I found out if You put somebody Too High on a Pedestal We become the Footstool !! And No one could Respect or " Love" Someone they can Walk All Over!! I have an Ex from Years Ago. We Reunited as Friends. But Alot of the time my Ex brought up the Past. And although my Ex has Many Unhealthy behaviors, my Ex Focus's STILL on telling Me " All" the Few Dozen ways I should change! Although if I bring Up just One Unhealthy Point of my Ex's Behavior my Ex Will start Going Off on Me Yelling!! And when I even Text about a Reply to my Ex Demands, then my Ex says to Either Not Text at All or just talk about Not Deep things. So Another Words I Feel my Ex is saying Your All Wrong and I am All Right and Perfect. And I Feel my Ex wants Me to make a Long List of Changes and Improvements while my Ex is Pointing the Finger at me, tbose 4 Fingers of my Ex Still Points Back to my Ex. But it is Very Sad and Traumatizing to have a Very Abusive Ex who thinks Only I Need to Change. I am Shocked at my Ex's Narcissistic Self Absorbed Lack of Self Awareness. I am getting to the Point of I am feeling that I am starting to Lose Feelings for this particular Ex. But when I Begin to pull away then my Ex is Calling my or Skyping me and Flirting with me. It is just a Dumb Game. I admit I Do Need to Change some things. And it will take time. But both People should Work on Improving themselves!! I went for Example to a Counselor around "10" Years for Example. But my Ex says I should get into some Counseling. But Refuses to Understand that I did go to about "10" Different Counselors in my Lifetime. Willingly I sought Counseling. I took Many Classes at a College University when I was Younger and Graduated. But my Ex Feels Superior and Acts Superiot to Me. Other times my Exi is Very Sweet and " Vulnerable" like when We "1st" Met!! And this Vulnerability is Very Attractive. But once I get Close were Close for maybe a Month then my Ex's Walls Go up when I Start Really Caring. Maybe I show the Needy side and my " Vulnetable" side again. Then my Ex back to Nit Picking on Me All over Again and my Ex YELLS YELLS and says Very CRUEL Abusive things. I am Beginning to See even if my Ex is " Physically: Very Attractive to Me. I deserve to be and Everyone Deserves to have a Partner and Friend Really Respect and " Love " them. I do Not mind hearing what I Need to Change to Improve Myself and my Home. But my Ex can make me Accountable talking in a " Normal" Kind but Firm Tone. My Ex says that my Ex realizes that my Ex is setting Off my Abandonment Issues. My Mother is Dying now and I Need Compassion now. And my Ex is YELLING at me time and time again.My Good Friends on the other hand who are " Christian" treat Me with Kindness and Respect and Love and Dignity. I Grew up in a VERY Abusive Household.My Mother was Normal but my Dad Drank and Cheated on my Mom and put my Mom down Alot. But my Dad when he was Sobar my Dad was as Sweet as Pie!! Then my Dad would take turns and my Dad would Cook for my Mom and me. And my Dad was Macho but he was a Pussycat Sweet when he was Gardening. I Felt like I Grew up with Doctor Jeckyl and Mr.Hyde and Now I keep picking Partners over my Life More like my Unavailable Dad. I know it is Very Sad. I probably should get into Therapy to See " Why" I keep Self Sabotaging my Own Life. I hoped this Ex would be Sweet like when we "1st: met and my Ex Pursued me. Sometimes my Ex is Very Sweet. I do Love this Ex. But I might be better off Not talking Daily to this Destructive person who does Not even have their own Shit together. But has the Nerve to constantly to Judge me!!! I am quite older. About 68 yrs old Male. Enjoy this video very good advice Married first 29 years, (and met in a bar mind you) then 8 years to 2nd wife and was married in the Philiipines a story book wedding to a previous runner up for Miss Philippines. And no, that's not why we clicked at first long story never mind. Lessons learned. Been there, done that many times. Never easy yes I know It's been my experience looking back on my life that when you really want, need, and deserve a second chance (and we all do) most of the time you don't get it. Period. @@absoluttchamp I mean it's not about giving up. It's about being practical. They're an ex because it didn't work out. People get tunnel vision / delusional and think their ex is "the one" because they're scared to be alone or scared to move on (which is understandable because people are at their most vulnerable state during these times), and then you have these shrinks preying on that fear in the form of "coaching" someone, who is incredibly emotional and can't think objectively, on how to get their ex back.

Having said that, I also need to hear the obvious thing after a breakup for some time, but I like to get passed that phase as quickly as possible. GF of 2.5yrs broke up just a few days ago after my most serious relationship ever. Had a few calls with a friend and watching youtube videos but have decided I will sort this out. In the end, the solution always lie inside you... To the men out there, ffs, man up!

Im going through a break up right now. We just started the no contact. We have tremendous amount of love for each other but we both understand that this time is crucial for the both of us. However we never eluded to getting back together although I think there is a shred of hope. I’ve started therapy and have accepted the break up and we may never get back together. I’m a bit older than her and I’ve been through a lot more relationships. I’ve done some pretty dumb things after a break up that ruined my chances and I’ve also initiated no contact after a break up and has chances to reconcile only to realize I didn’t want to. This time around before committing to the start of the no contact I sent her an email owning up to my mistakes and providing some insight into my short comings as well as my commitment to being a better person. It doesn’t make the no contact easier since we all have to experience the grief in order to grow and change. I know she is having a hard time as well even though she doesn’t express it (I know her so well). These videos help find solace when I’m having some anxiety.

Thanks again Coach. Its been almost 5months now and he lined someone up b4 the breakup...she looks like a man with boobs...lmao. Atleast i can laugh about the situation now, thats progress. This is very good. I just got out of a break up, and I am doing so good by not contacting him at all. I am so proud of myself. It is so tempting. I am scared, I am worried that I am dreaming, or that he is not suitable. But, I saw a lot of good things in him, his behaviours were sometimes not supporting his words, and he told me when we broke up ,that I am more of a man than him ,I always do what I say I am going to do, and he is not that way, and that his feelings are not the same for me as my feelings are for him. We have had a lot of ups and downs the past two years, but our bond is so strong....he use to tell me that. I am confused as to what was true and what was not....this cant be all fake can it???? Am I chasing a lost dream?

Susie I. Hi, I hope you are feeling less anxious now 2 weeks later. I am broken up with since 2 months back, it gets better. I listen to Craig and Margaret all the time, it is very soothing as well as informative. There are a few more channels here on youtube that are very helpful. They are The Love Chat and also The Dating Guy. I really recommend them also. The Love Chat has a discord community where a lot of people in our situation talk to and support each other. I would really appreciate it if you could post a video about this: partner A usually has the right to ask questions regarding the shady behavior of partner B (e.g., "Who's calling you at this hour?"; "What are you working on at the computer so late?"). Granted, partner B has the right to not answer them. But, if partner B has a very low tolerance for perceived controlling behavior, he will probably act annoyed (or even aggressive) and try to evade the question, or just give a dismissive answer (e.g., "Why are you so interested?"; "I'm working on something"). What happens is, partner B seems shady even when there's nothing shady going on, just because he refuses to give in to the perceived control attempt. (1) How can partner A tell if it's a shady answer, or if you've crossed partner B's boundary with feeling controlled? (2) How can partner A ask these questions and not trigger partner B's issues? Or does partner A need to settle for never being able to ask?

I’m an older guy. Adopted so abandonment is the foundation sum of all fears for me. I was married and with my wife for 28 years. Missed out on all the trial and error of learning dating skills in my 20s. Married At 22. Separated now for 4 years. So what does one do when your ex breaks up with you and then you graciously accept their decision and plan to leave them alone but then THEY won’t leave you alone!!? My ex wants to maintain this pseudo connection with me and perhaps he’s too embarrassed now to tell me he was either wrong OR he was using the breakup to turn the tables so he felt more in control and was expecting me to chase after him and object but then it all backfired and now he doesn’t know what to do! He’s still calling me babe and checking in at his usual times through out the day has tried to video call me a couple times but I won’t answer. He hasn’t placed me in a friend zone either but it’s a very ambiguous place to be. I also think he’s realizing now that he doesn’t want to loose me or my son who he also loves very much. But I’m not going to rescue him out of this and feel there needs to be consequences otherwise he’ll never deal with things in a straightforward manner with me and this is a deal breaker big time since I very much deal with things in a very upfront and direct manner. Very confusing to say the least!!!!

I was in a very similar situation. He never said the words “let’s be friends” so I didn’t want to jump the gun and tell him I wouldn’t be his friend because I didn’t want to scare him off. He left so much furniture and stuff at my house. This went on for a few months. We hung out a few times, had fun, hooked up. It started to feel like limbo. So I told him “listen, when we broke up I told you I’d like to work things out with you and if that’s not what you want then that’s ok too. But you have all your stuff in my house and whatever is going on between us is pretty unclear. I’m trying to respect your decision to end things but if that’s what you want then I need you to get your things and let me move on.” He blew up! He got really angry and asked why I would even want to try again and said there were too many issues. He told me he doesn’t want to have a family anymore and will die alone (avoidant). He said there was no chance of us getting back together. I was sad and angry but I held my head high and accepted this. A week later he got his things out. Two days after that he reached out again and I was cold. I was done with the breadcrumbs. I felt like I had essentially helped him wean himself off me and helped him through a breakup I didn’t want. I went no contact. It’s been 43 days and he just reached out saying he saw me walking when he was driving by. Here we go again. Lol

Is that the same with someone whos with a rebound?

Im in no contact for 8 months. Since the time I started it she reaches out to me every 2 or 3 weeks, saying she misses me hard, but so we talk for some days, and when i ask her out she says she dont want to get back together and I go no contact again. It is becoming crazy, she do it every time, every 2 or 3 weeks, she is clearly missing me, but still not wanting to get back. After 4 months of she doing it i blocked her in all social media and message services, she still calling me and trying to reach me saying she misses me. I dont know what to do. She simply dont stop to reaches out to me, but at the same time dont want to get back together. This is crazy!
