Got this friedman on the way , for the last few years my main gain came from a tone city golden plexi pushed with a boss sd1 so im gettin a significant upgrade for my 80s shred tone . Cant wait to see how the boss sd1 affects the friedman for my tone , very excited

Its the breakup tone from a previous video, the dirty Shirley pedal is more versatile the the BE, It should sound great.

@The Studio Rats Hi Paul Just wanted to let you know I love the page and all content you put out I know it’s not in video but all it is I I’ve got Carl Martin Plexitone and I’m not that enamoured by it. Aside from it sounding very thin on its own I’ve got it running into an isolated supply with Graphic plugged into it. Sounds a lot better. Other problem I have with it is it’s got this noise and it’s there regardless where ever the gain is set on it that tried notching out but now having to run NS2 into the other side 😅. Didn’t know if you’ve used this pedal before ? as I’m kind of contemplating buying BE-OD Thanks James 🙏

Hello, could you please tell us if you used any power amp emulation ? The Freedman pedal is a pre amp, hence you would need a power amp and then the IR to get the full sound right? Is it possible to only use a power amp emulation on the gt-1000 core? without the pre amp part so you can use your pedal as such? If so, could you please explain or refer to a document on how to do it? Thank you!

I would be interested in also seeing this plugged into a katana and the katanas setting so that you could get that BE 100d sound with immense gain for that 80s George Lynch ,warren de martini ,evh sound . Also interested in the Hotone Freeze B which is supposed to have a similar sound to a BE100d

Did the GT-1000 CORE takes the pedal the same way of his big brother ?

That pedal is amazing and the sound im looking for. Should have bought one instead of my gt1000. Have to say Paul pretty disappointed with the gt1000 in general. Trouble is with lockdown you cant go out and try before you buy. Rely on channel reviews, which unfortunately always seem to make them sound awesome. That said though, the way you handle that guitar is an absolute pleasure to watch and hear, real master 👍

Why not plugging it to a S/R on the GT? that s how I do it usually, so i get the cleanest signal on the GT input. Have you tried my way any time? What s your experience on this? Thanks ;)

Yes ideally that would be how I would connect it. My es8 is under the board so I can’t get to the output sockets on the es8. The board at the moment has 1 in and 1 out. I’m going to get 2 more outs fitted so I can do that.

There’s no processing added, it’s just the way I play I’m afraid. It’s funny because they all sound different to me but I guess that’s more how different they feel to play through.

Is this the “ultimate” patch but, the Friedman is the overdrive?
