I left a toxic home at 16, dropped out of highschool, and basically spiraled for many years after that. I became pregnant at 21, had a beautiful daughter that changed my whole life ! She became my whole reason for being/existing. I’ll I wanted was a better life for her. I became the mother I never had. I gave her everything I ever wanted as a child. And I did that! She left for a big university last year… she wants to be a doctor one day. I have no doubt she will succeed in everything she does and wants in life! This is my love song to her! I fought for so many years… went to war with myself and life. I am a little lost without her. More then a little!

My wife passed away in 2018, so the first time i heard this in 2022 i had a panic attack and now im not sure if it hasnt set me back, but i keep listening and I keep crying

This song will forever hold a special place in my heart it was played on the saddest day of my life the funeral of my auntie Lilly who I recently lost to cancer in august I will love her forever and always ❤️

This song reminds me of my now 5 year old daughter. Many times when she was a baby, she had trouble settling down and sleeping and many times I held her in my arms, put this song on, paced around the room and she'd fallen asleep by the end of it. The lyrics make me think of the day she leaves home for University or the day she ever gets married. A song for a daddy and his daughter.
