he almost cannot stand still while singing because of how much he puts into it. And Freya is just out of this world. Such a masterpiece.

I was so happy when I heard Freya on the alto line (for the most parts) instead of the soprano which she generally sings. If you know Freya's voice, you know she's a beautiful and distinct but overtaking soprano. However, she appropriated her voice magnificently here and complimented Bastille's very well. That's talent right there. Loved it.

Freya Ridings isn't a soprano. Even the high note here is well within contralto range.
I love him! Seen him live multiple times and his voice gives me chills! Freya actually adds to his voice which is so impressive. They sound amazing together. Beautiful

Same here! Majestic singing from these two. Fwiw I just researched the phenomenon and it's called musical frisson and apparently not everyone gets chills or goosebumps listening to music. Glad to be one of the ones that do as it's such a good feeling!
Bastille always kills it in awards show performances!

Good grief. The range, power and control that Freya often exhibits has so much meaning in this duet. Dan, of course was superb too. Just off the back of the acoustic Live in Paris performance by Bastille this was a really wonderful thing to stumble upon.
