Great video! I fly fished there 3 weeks ago and got 3 cutts using a shiner pattern. It worked great!

I need to try fly fishing. Looks difficult especially for someone like me who isn’t all that good at rod and real fishing anyway.

@@Hero_Spearo it's fun catch fish on stuff you tied yourself. I need to try underwater spearfishing. I've done it once with a sapling and metal kabob stick tied to the front but haven't done it for real😂

Wow, super impressed. 10ft Viz with a pole spear shooting trout is insanely difficult. I want 20+ ft minimum Viz to go for trout.

Next I want to see - how to spearfish cutthroat trout - for experts. That last fish looked like a pretty good size.

It’s a evolve pole spear with a Gatku slip tip. The slip tip has a detachable tip that is held on by dyneema. This prevents the fish from getting drag/leverage to tear off.

That is actually about the only way to get a good cutthroat out of there anymore. The cutts only want live minnows which are illegal to use.

I wonder why we can’t use live bait. You think it’s an ethical thing or they just don’t want the chance of introducing fish where they shouldn’t be?

@@Hero_Spearo Too many invasive species released because of it. They should let people use live minnows on the water where they are caught like they do with crawfish.

If you fly fish they were biting good a few weeks ago on natural colors clouser minnows

How long is your pole spear. Trout are tough to get while spearfishing. Interesting to see their behavior. Interesting technique keying on bait fish
