basically put, put Les Miserables "Do you hear the people sing" in full volume as you activate the main gun reload booster and you're good to go

Once during a game, some player was yelling at me to use my smoke and complaining about if I put down smoke, he wouldn’t die. Once I killed the people around me, I told him French destroyers don’t have smoke and called him a dim Witt for not actually taking the time to study these new ships.

I just think of them as mini light cruisers

These gunboats are going to be my fav DD to play, I love the USN and IJN gunboats, and these seem to be a combination between the 2 lines.

i just open french destroyer container and they give me quests. now i have jaguar, vanquelin and guepard in my port. but why do you want to play these french dsetroyers ? they aren't really that powerful, at least in my hand

@@DuckyGoose74 use it as a ruskie dd. Second line dd. Dont Rush cap. Torp ambush. Avoid close range engagemet in the first half of the game. Use speed and nice gun angles to kill reds.

i like them. the t8 dd ist most fun for me yet. Looking Forward to the t9. different playstyle than other dd and at the beginning a bit hard to find the perfect way for this ships. but ist nice to Play. u have to be very Aware of everything at any Moment.

What's your opinion of IFHE for the FR DDs? Aside from that, I actually like them a lot, I currently have Jag, Guepard, and Vaquelin, and I like the last two, and I'm definitely planning on Grinding to Le Fantasque. There have been many times where I have had to say the illustrious motto of the French DDs, "I have no idea how I survived that, but I'll take it." None of the games I have had in the FR DDs have been boring in the slightest, until I decided to knife fight. Nothing more boring than spectating when your ship is at the bottom of the ocean.

French DD are good for hit and run ambushes. Hide amongst the islands and then run in for a torpedo attack. But don’t sit there and slug it out as they’re a bit of a glass cannon.

Don't forget about their powerful guns, you will usually be able to win engagements against enemy DDs!

Skip up to T6 is the best advise. These boats are actually pretty slow at low tiers and the rudder shift, turning circle is just average. Once you are focused then hard to dodge when they shoot back. Guns are good but the turret traverse is just slightly better than japanese...

to be honest that torpedoes can hit the enemy up to 10km if the enemy are moving strait

To me they are frigates. And I like it!

I don't like ships like Harugumo, Khaba or Kleber because they don't do DD things but they still occupy DD spots so basically your team's cap contest potential is shafted from the get go

So far the matches with these on my team have been bad! Basically have them sitting back behind islands, No spotting, No capturing,No smoke makes them pretty crap in my opinion, Will have to wait and see. Maybe those who have these ships are still working out how to play it.

Build them for concealment, so it's easier to get into advantageous positions quickly. Like other French ships they should be used as a flanker, but a concealment build means you can use the fast torp reload for very effective area denial from stealth.

Only way you can play the french DD's is to spam shells from behind a island till your killed

Im not really good at destroyer that doesn't have smoke generator

add smoke, so we can hide like every other dd, eve, the shira 2nd line of IJN gets a choice between rapid torps or smoke. Here there is no choice, As they count as DD's people have to rely on them to Cap bases with smoke, but without smoke its useless. Sure its fast from T8 in fact so fast that you will cap the flag 8 times out of 10 before an enemy gets close, as ive been @ 55knots in a Le Fantasque, it just doesnt excel at anything. If you want Light cruiser Pick a light cruiser, If u want a dd, u got the gunboat or Torp variety, basically everyone will grind it, then never use it, as its useless as most russian ships with paper thin armour. I at 1st got the T7 vaquelin, didnt think id get anything higher so used my coins on camo, then got the T8 Le Fantasque, now dont expect the T9 Mogador, so spent the next lot of coins on camo again, you cant even Buy boxes to top up your credits balance, like you did with the WAY OP T9 Benham, which i got also. But screw Boxes for winning a task, give me coins. Dont need 50k credits and a few flags, when u got RANKED AND CLAN WARS Running at the exact same time.

Why can’t these features be available for console players? If anything consoles players are charged the most resources for everything & for very little customisation options in return

They will not be easy to play. Mostly because most people don't know about the limitations and will demand that the french DDs will preform the same dutys as any other DD.

I have the Aigle so I understand French DDs better. They are artillery DDs, kind of like light cruisers. I've also scored many citadel hits with my aigle on cruisers.

@@etienneracine-hebert9870 I also have the Aigle and she rocks in Aegis. My record is 36 citadels and 285k damage. Problem is that she has smoke and by that alone is not representative of the main line.

I haven't gotten a single mission up to this 3rd stage. And I actually bought 8 containers on top of the in game ones. not doing that again. I have friends who have all 3 missions for free! LMAO RNG is just not good to me.

I wish they got rid of destroyers in carrier battles its just unfair...they keep flanking

Played the Guepard yesterday. Who ever at wg hq that thought that it would be even a remotely fun experience in a game should simply not be working with gaming development. Period!

The speed of 50 knots is ridiculous. 75 knots for torpedoes. Long Firing range. Shells capable of shooting cruisers easy. Did you get staff from World of Tanks ? because it seems you want to fuck up World of Warships too.

Your comment, to me, sounds as if you received the missions the first day of the French DD release?

Best way to play them ? Grind the soviet branch. ggwp

"French Destroyers. How to Play?" In my case: sell it and buy cruiser or battleship.

If you can play these things with good results, than you can play EVERY other DD line much better. No smoke, no AA. Garbage! You can have some good moments and MM-blessings, but these things are SHIT! Any cruiser you meet will shred you in secs and every other DD you meet will drop smoke and you are there alone against all enemy fire without smoke or anywhere to hide or run. Just think over... I tried. French DDs are for ppl who buy french cars. They are garbage, still a lot of ppl are in love with them without any sense!

at this stage the game is dumbed down and catered to the least favourable people you want to have on a team that i will drop it until some quality returns, happy milking wg, gotta pamper your bb whales
