Main worry for me is CVs against FR DDs.

That fight against the tiger 59 was just so sad. With that miserable output, I feel like it would have been fine to give it HE or something

Jesus Christ man, I can't think of a ship that is more deserving of major buffs than the Tiger 59. At least give it HE, that would make it unique as being the only ship in the game to have short fuse AP and HE shells.

I'm not Flamu but, your best bet is having another high DPM DD, or a high dpm/accurate Cruiser to land shots consistently, since saturation is a thing. If possible aim to hit different section of the ship on each shot but this is hard since they're so fast. Teamwork is great too lol

Depends what sort of ship you're playing really. But from my (mind you, not like top player) experience playing specifically torp botes, if you're able to shadow them in stealth and get your team to shoot at them, that's a good way to deal with them. Can pitch in too when they're low or to get them to mess up their positioning to chase you, but really depends on what you're up against in terms of them and the enemy team (obviously if they're right next to two Smolensks, don't engage lol)

Tho I will add that, specifically for french dds, their speed does complicate that. They can easily run you down if you get too isolated.

If you have her, Atlanta is a very strong ship for ranked and she eats DDs for breakfast. As another DD, you need to leverage your advantages. If you have better concealment, kite away while being unspotted and spotting the gunboat for your team to shoot at. If you have a smoke or a heal, use those for favorable trades. In general, the gunboat has the initiative in DD fights, so you often need to play passive and let your team handle it if you can't do it yourself.

I own a Haida which speaks for itself. However, its rusting in my port since i got much more fun with Vauquelin in ranked. If you play around smoke and hydro timers correctly, you just murder enemie DDs.

Well, the weakness about French DDs was that their AA sucks. But after multiple Carrier nerfs it is no longer a problem unless you run into a determined and smart USN CV (which is almost never lol).
