‼️ FREE EVENT PLANNING TRAINING ‼️
In this video on Event Planning Blueprint TV, Owen Hemsath and I discuss event planning 101. We're covering the basics and the purpose of this training is to give you the tools you need to plan an event.
In this event training, we cover:
- How to determine your event objective and why that’s important
- How to choose the right event venue
- Why choosing the appropriate food and beverage can make (or break) your event.
- What to consider when hiring speakers or entertainment, and some extra secrets that event planners don’t normally share!
Happy planning!
Melanie

    To everyone complaining about Owen: If they wanted to just shoot Melanie presenting the info, they would have. They even said this is the second version of it and it was decided to present the interview this way. His questions were really good especially to those who aren't as well adept in the business yet. It added an exciting dimension to the conversation rather than just a lecture. Those who can't do, complain on the internet. A lot.

    thanks you for saying so Jessica, I totally agree. Owen is an extremely kind and giving person - in fact, this video was part of a huge free series he gave away. Owen spent so much time and energy putting the series together even when he was battling his own life threatening disease (which he hid well in this video). So instead of focusing on what you don't like, focus on what you can take away from this video and use for your own events. #kindness

    Find your perfect location get insurance and permits. When you get your permits it should have the regulations for your area. If alcohol get liquor permits from your local liquor control board and for all events you might have to contact the local fire marshal. After you do that, start advertising. If you need a professional to guide you through the first one, contact EMFC EVENTS 509-418-7004 emfcoyle@gmail.com label subject Event Help Good luck on your event!

    EventPlanning BlueprintTV Of course, thank you for your quick response ! I just got curious when you mentioned that you were asked by a client to attend an event as a consultant but you didn't actually plan the event yourself. I would like to offer my services to an annual beer/music festival and I am trying to identify their needs and how I could help during the event since it's pretty soon...

  • @eventplanningblueprint

    @eventplanningblueprint

    7 жыл бұрын

    You need to speak to them about their needs to see if you can or can't help and if it's a good fit. Making connections is how you get hired...being asked to attend an event onsite as a consultant is very different than having a client hire you and offering event services/planning. Get to know who runs and manages the beer festival, what improvements can they make -- chances are they are focused on making money for this event, so how can help with a better ROI? What are they doing well, so they even need your help? All things only they can asnwer for you.

  • @lauralaruelle

    @lauralaruelle

    EventPlanning BlueprintTV Wow I must say again just how useful your channel is !! I hope I am not wasting too much of your time, I would just have a couple more questions ... Would you say being a consultant is a good way to make connections ? And, last question, would you have any specific tips for a festival to make more profit ?

  • @eventplanningblueprint

    @eventplanningblueprint

    7 жыл бұрын

    Hi Lorna, you don't have to be a consultant to make connections. Anyone can make connections and if you're going to be in the event industry, you need to make those connections and build relationships with other event planners, vendors, potential clients, etc. As for specific tips, again it's too vague because we don't know what they're already doing or not doing, but here are some ways an event can make money - sell tickets, premium tickets, sell sponsorship, have raffles/games, having a VIP room with special tastings (or speakers...depends on the event), digital ads on the website, and of course sell merchandise! Good luck :)
