FREE CRYSTAL DIGGING SPOT in Oklahoma! Find your own Selenite Crystals at the Salt Plains

Get ready for the Selenite Crystal Digging Season of 2021 in Oklahoma!
Crystal digging is permitted from APRIL 1 through OCTOBER 15, sunrise to sunset. The digging area is closed from October 16th through March 31st, as the entire refuge is designated critical whooping crane habitat. No exceptions are made to these dates.
When collecting, no special permit is required. Collectors are permitted to remove up to 10 pounds of crystals plus one large cluster for their personal use in any one day.
Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge is the only known site in the world where unique selenite crystals with hourglass inclusions are found. Because these crystals form in wet soil, sand and clay, particles are included within the crystal giving them their unique "hourglass" shape inside.
Check out this booklet and map for more details on the dig site:

If I’m not mistaken, @thecrystalcollector said you’re supposed to fill in your holes. As you can see by your opening part of the video, a lot of people don’t bother. I could be wrong, but some people can be so lazy. 💛

Yes many many holes, nature slowly fills them in. In this location it’s really not that big of an issue like in other more mountainous unstable areas, where it is very important.

@@CrystalsofArkansas the lady I was with in mt ida, we are currently looking for a place in Oklahoma. I want to be close to Arkansas mines and artifacts there,Oklahoma and tx. We are hoping to get a few acres or more. So wherever we end up, you will always be able to stop and crash there lol. We are even trying to find one w a separate house on property for the people who do visit. Then they have their own place lol
