Loved this man and his Philosophies. I was born in 73 and started reading about him in 1980 81 or 82 and ever since I have been a life long fan.

As an Archer, I want to thank this man and now his legacy company for staying true to it's products. You can walk into almost any sports store or local shop and pick up a decent entry level now for a few hundred dollars. Then as you and your experience grow, you can upgrade as you want, but it will always be that first bow that will bring back memories, laughter and sometimes heartache. My first bow was a bear recurve, and it taught me many lessons....one which I remember fondly is the red forearm welts that taught, the hard way, how to properly hold a bow...😂

Fred Bear's interviews are like asmr for hunters...in the best kind of way.

This man lit my fire for a life long passion of the outdoors and archery. I love my early 1950s Grizzly static recurve.

In the wind he is still alive! Love this man. He's something else.

As a child Fred was a Michigan legend and my hero, I'm 45 years old now and to this day he's still a legend and my hero. In the wind i hear ya Fred, let's go hunting baby 🏹

My Father and I met Mr. Bear in his office in Gainesville back in 1983, He was my childhood hero.

His modesty and honesty is what is missing in leadership these days. " oh , I didn't run the place, I hired people to do it." I could see most employees trusting Fred. I would also think that he was truly amazed at the accomplishments of the craftsmen in the company.

Went pass the shop several times over the years, having it in Grayling was a great idea because everyone coming or going to the UP went pass there.

I have a Fred Bear Bow that has a 1953 patent on it. It looks like a recurve/long bow combination. Not sure what year it was made, but it is very good condition.

I would have to strongly Disagree... When you look up Good in the dictionary there's over 40 definitions... Number one is MORAL EXCELLENCE ... only one has ever fit that bill.....JESUS CHRIST GOD in Flesh who lived a sinless life, was nailed to a cross... HE died for "Those" who would believe in HIM, Rose from the dead 3 days later because death could not hold HIM, And now sitting at the right hand of the FATHER so that "we" too Who believe And trust in HIM can And will live Forever!!!! Pretty sad Fred never once In this video gave Jesus the do honour for any of the free gifts that was lavished on him.... Unless Fred repented before he took his last breath He's regretting it. Jesus said What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but in the end lose their soul???? For there is No other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved!!!!!!!!!!

Man I wish I could go and live in that place he built my wife would love to go with me two inches fish for our food stay off the grid I'd be heaven on Earth!!!

It's like this for me. My Dad was born in Grayling, my Grandma work there at the Grayling, MI facility probably till they moved to Florida. So, what brand of bow do you think I am going to buy. And probably Kodiak. Need it in my life.

this interview must have been done after 1977. Because in '77 the Employees of Bear went on Strike, Fred Closed up shop sold it to a company in Florida where he stayed on in R&D. Even today some 40 + years you NEVER mention Fred Bear's name in Grayling, Mi. I understand that what was his factory has be demolished.

My Grandfather used to hunt with Fred Bear . I mentioned that to Ted Nugent. You dont get a response from Ted on his social media site . I did and told him i met Fred Bear at my grandparents house. It was an honor meeting him and getting responses from tèd .I go back to the response to show my wife kids and friends it wouldn't show Ted Nugents name . It just said loading on all of them until i got tired of looking at it. No big deal hes a trader to Detroit ! We the Michigan fans made him what he is today. Ill show him up with his own songs on my guitar. Prove me wrong with a pile of cash and a guitar!
