Exactly how I shot my entire teen years. My dad was so stubborn about it. Now at 45 I really really appreciate that base.

It amazes me that bows were shot without all the sights and gadgets for thousands and thousands and thousands of years..... And now in the last 35 to 40 years people lost that skill.

But you looked to see where it was as it dropped then looked away and shot… shoot the arrow and never look to see when it’s coming down. That would be no looking 😂

Learning so much. I almost wish i was brand new and had way less bad habits to break and re-learn the correct form. Been shooting for 30 years from an old Bear recurve to a black and brown compound from the 80s, to newer stuff in the 90s and now the level of Execute 32 and Persist. Thanks for sharing this information, if you quit learning you quit trying.

When you talk about grainage, does that apply to the head or the whole arrow? Great show love archery. I use a recurve bow with an arrow rest and thumb release, which people have critised but it works for me.

I can understand why maybe western hunters don’t get down with this stuff because of the long distance and time to target they’re taking game. But Midwest, Eastern or south eastern hunters shooting at 30 and in it makes a ton of sense.
