Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video we worked on cutting out and replacing the front floor pans and all of the inner rockers and bracing connected to it. The #FRANKINGSTON build is moving quickly. Stay tuned for part 5 we should have the quarter panels on.

The inner rocker where the braces get welded to is that a piece you have to make yourself or can you purchase that

Thanks for the video. I'm doing a 63 Biscayne. This video helped me with the pan issues. A problem I have is the front of the inner rocker is mostly rusted away. I have the dish shaped support then 2 layers. I can't tell how they were originally. Did you have these on your 64? Thanks Robert

I cant think what it is exactly you are referring to. If you got a pic email me at cbuckner0859@gmail.com . We did replace inner rockers on this one and I'm sure it's the same.

You’ll have to make them yourself.. I made mine out of 22 gauge .. I was calling them the “boomerang “in this video 3:18 is the profile from underneath.

What gauge steel are you using for patching?

18 gauge. Its closest to factory and most readily available. It's just a little thicker than factory but gives you a little more to work with when welding.

I hope you get more views for every time I re-watch your videos. I'm looking at the 5:51 frame where you had tacked the passenger floor pan. I looks like you had about a 2 inch overlap of the new pan and the old one. Then tacked on top and bottom. Is this correct. Thanks again.

As long as your plugs are good and your welds are solid, no issues. I put as many spots and plugs as I can and always solid weld everything possible once it is in.

Not bad as far as price considering the pan runs about $1,100 and consumables are about $500
