I'm building my 64 similar to this one, and every time I'm about to take a shortcut, I tell myself what you said... Yeah I know nobody is ever gonna know, but I'LL know. When I'm all done I want to know I did everything right to the best of my ability. Love it!

Lada was made in the soviet era too. The Lada and Moszkvics has one or two same parts like carburator and some other stuff. The Lada made after the Fiat 125. The russians bought the licence the fiat 125 and he make his own. In the soviet time Hungary is the part of the Soviet union so you can buy eastern car. My family had a moszkvics 2140 car and we sell it around 2005 os 2006 maybe.

Awesome video. Thanks for being a great resource. In one of your past videos you showed us how to use a tig welder to do a spot weld. I am curious why you didn’t use that approach with the floor pan? If it could be possible the need for all of those punched holes would not be needed. Would like your feedback.

great video, as far as the self tappers to hold down some areas, did you take that out and then plug weld the hole? since it is a through and through hole do you need to back the hole with brass to be able to fill it if you are filling it or how do you manage those holes if you remove the screws after things are tacked? thanks @Guzzi Fabrication

Did you need to weld any braces inside the body are that’s just over kill
@guzzifabrication3448
3 ай бұрын
The vehicle is secured to a frame fixture.... bracing inside would be a real pain to work around and are totally unecessary ( unecessary as long as the body is on the fixture )
Was that floorboard already coated when you got it? I need to coat mine and I see people use all different coatings but I'm thinking I'll use either por or kbs. Is that primer or por?
@guzzifabrication3448
11 ай бұрын
That one came with the EDP coat, I see they are selling body panels now just raw steel..... bad idea... the problem with that is how to you coat in between sandwiched/welded parts?? P.O.R is good.

@@guzzifabrication3448 exactly! Shockingly my 1962 hearse had bare unprimed steel under the floor and in the supports, I'm shocked they still exist at all. Thanks for the input!

Well my car still bolted on the frame could I do what I need to do
How much would a job like this cost?
@guzzifabrication3448
18 күн бұрын
I work on an hourly rate, too many variables to throw out $ amounts without assessing the vehicle to be worked on.
It's best to install a full floor pan with new bushings to the frame first after prepping all areas. That way you can make sure of the total fitment of the pan and it's bushings to the frame. Also it's easier then to lower the body onto the frame from above. I use my ceiling lift points daily for that.

That is what everyone who has never had any experience with acid dipping cars say......
You never sand blast you areas when replaceing panels wire wheels don't clean the surface sand blasting gets the rust out of the poars in the metal what up with that being so professional.
