@J ronnn Eh, in a sense. For an African, the difference in temperature and climate is already a big shock (and can be fairly dangerous health-wise). Paris is also overloaded with immigrants, legal or not, and the support systems put in place to help these people are struggling to keep up. Many get 0 help. And in a country with an unemployment rate of 10% where people with a Master's degree struggle to find a job getting one as a non-citizen with no official proof of identification is almost impossible. It's more complicated than Cameroon (poor country) < France (rich country)

@J ronnn no one claimed its their responsibility but to suggest that arriving in France is perfect and and it can't possibly get worse is a shortsighted, it's not so simple to go to crowded homeless shelters or over saturated food banks

@J ronnn Not true. There are wealthy people in Cameroon and impoverished people in Paris. Obviously France is a much wealthier country but simply living in a wealthy country does not guarantee that your life will be easy. You have better opportunities in general but you still have to apply yourself.

We don't really need more motivational speakers in the world... Experience brings insight, and people who go through incredibly negative experiences often develop quite a bit of empathy for others. Empathy and understanding combined comes off as quite insightful, and is what Francis seems to show here. I think the thing people miss about Francis is how different his experiences in life are compared to ours, his upbringing, his escape from Africa, and his eventual journey to the UFC aren't even relatable for most other professional fighters, let alone us. I used to think he was rather shallow too, he comes across as a quiet, hulking individual who beats people down with brute strength and seems to lack the skill expression and confidence of other fighters. Then I learned that he didn't know English (at least only very basic English), had only been training for 2 years or so, and hadn't even arrived in the west until slightly before then.

No one in their right mind would go through all that and that is what makes this so special. 99.9% of people would have gave up but Francis was the 0.01% that did not. He was happier than he ever was in his path out of hell. If Ngannou's story doesn't give you hope and inspiration to follow your dreams and become great then I do not know what will. Hardship is relative man, there is always someone worse off than you, no matter how hard your life seems. The same goes for Francis, but it is regardless impressive what he has achieved in spite of the hardship he faced. It isn't weak or lazy to be upset that you lost your income due to incompetent leadership who haven't managed to support people who actually need it during this time. If this motivates you to try another avenue, that's excellent, but life in the Western hemisphere can still be pretty shit, it's just not as shitty as elsewhere. Many people commenting use this to put down others problems ("if FN can become a profighter from a third-world country noone can complain just because they are being exploited by corporate fatcats" etc), when those problems still hurt people and need to be fixed in some way. No child should be forced to have to experience what Francis did, but at the same time you shouldn't have to lose your income (especially if you were employed by somewhere about to receive another juicy tax break). They aren't equal, but neither should happen (and I don't think we can fix anything elsewhere until we fix our own homes anyway).

Before watching: Mixed Molly is doing another video on Francis again? After watching: Francis can have 100 videos, as a matter of fact, I don’t need to see a video from Mixed Molly about anyone else ever again. 💯 Absolutely what I need to watch every morning before the day starts.

One of the most amazing stories told in the most amazing way. @MixedMollyWhoppery you're a real GOAT for losing all your content on HDD and coming back better than ever despite the drawback. You yourself live the narrative of overcoming hardships and obstacles with big heart you tell about other people. With all respect and love 🙌🏼 Never change, my man.

I hope Francis Ngannou ends up being incredibly successful in this profession, he deserves it and certainly has the natural talent. I also hope him sharing his experiences and his knowledge will lead to change for other people who may have come from, or are now enduring, similar circumstances. People should not have to live in those conditions when we have the resources, technology, and knowledge to change it. It's quite sobering to think of how much talent we may have lost in people who didn't manage to make it through, how many Francis Ngannou's or Srinivasa Ramanujan's have we lost to similar conditions.

Francis story is unbelievable, just that I want to know what happened after the Stipe fight...people say Stipe broke him but how can a man who has gone through actual shit can have a mental breakdown like than which lead to his loss in the next fight. We can speak from outside, don't know what goes inside someone's head.
