Fr. Daniel Groody, CSC on "A Theology of Migration: the Bodies of Refugees and the Body of Christ"

Fr. Daniel Groody, C.S.C. offered the fourth in a six-part lecture series "The Only Solution is Love: The Eucharist and Catholic Social Teaching," which took place at the University of Notre Dame. This lecture series, developed by Michael Baxter, Ph.D., is sponsored by the McGrath Institute for Church Life.
His lecture "A Theology of Migration: the Bodies of Refugees and the Body of Christ" reframes migration through a Eucharistic narrative, aligning the
outer journey of migrants with their inner journey of faith, and the divine
journey of Christ into our world. It explores the Body of Christ as encountered in the Sacrament and in the least among us (Mt 25:31-46), showing how the divine and human intermingle on our earthly pilgrimage in and through the works of mercy.
